SLA based on first contact
Hello, We have our SLAs based on first point of contact not resolution time. For example: SLA: Urgent We need to start work immediately. But the latest within 60 minutes. Any ideas on how we can configure our SLAs in the best way?
Resolving DNS
hi support, when resolving DNS, some IP addresses cannot be determined. is there any work-around so i can add these paticular ip addresses into hostnames? so, by the next time that the firewall analyzer generates the report, it will display the hostnames instead of the ip adds? thanks

Drill Down
Support. Will there be any feature in the near future where you can drag the mouse pointer over the Traffic Report and Utilization then being able to drill down further to check the peaks. This is available in some other software of which I won't mention, but you will be aware of. We use Netflow Analyzer 5 now and this would be a much needed addition. Preventative Maintenance - duplications
I am not sure if this is on the list, but could we have the ability to add multiple instances of a PM (and also the ability to create a PM from within a job request)? For example, we want to be able to schedule similar jobs to check the validity of a client's back up every month and it would be useful to be able to set one up as a template and then roll it out for each client current and future. Creatinga ticket from an SBS2003 report
Every day we get a number of SBS2003 reports coming in to us. Normally we read them and if there are any errors that need attention we create a job in SD+. It tried to email the report directly to SD+ but towards the lower part of the report (where the Critical alerts start) I got: Critical Alerts <table class="MsoN Any thoughts please? What we want to do is aim the emailed reports directly at SD and then create a spin off job from any that need attention. Thanks.
Query regarding desktop discovery in OpManager
Hi, The desktops in my network get discovered very well. But the problem is some desktops show an IP address under the device details instead of host names, whereas the remaining have their host names mentioned under device details. Monitoring System Resources of 3COM Switches
Does anybody know the correct OID (Object Identifier) of 3COM's switches? We would like to monitor the following parameters: - CPU Utilization - Memory Utilization We are trying to monitor system resource as we do with Cisco equipaments (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58 - avgBusy5). We have already downloaded many 3COM MIBs (1.3.6.1.4.1.43 - 3COM Enterprise MIBs) but could not identify the MIB variables to monitor the health of the device, just the traffic of the interfaces.

Every night at 3:00 we reboot some of our windows servers. i found in the alarms an attenttion a few minutes later of: Device Active and Responding But hours later another warning gives: ColdStart : CTX03.1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.2 Hardware: x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 7 AT/AT COMPATIBLE - Software: Windows 2000 Version 5.0 (Build 2195 Multiprocessor Free) The server is not rebooting on that time and there is nothing wrong on that given time. Software assets and licesning
I am fairly new to SD+, having used it only a few months now, but I am looking to either have a new feature added, or see if I am doing something wrong here. When adding software to assets from a PO, if there are 25 instances of the particular package, it adds 25 line itmes in assets. Is there a way for it to add only one item, then attach 25 licenses to that asset? We haven't used the assets function much yet, but I can see that it's going to quickly become hard to manage otherwise. My current suggestion

Hi there, Is there any correlation between Service Desk and Support Center development? I.e. if certain feature has been implemented in Service Desk already, can I assume it to appear in Support Center, too (if it is general enough by its kind to fit to both products). We have just d/l Service Desk and are evaluating: Is there the ability to assign an asset to a requester. This would be really good from the requester window, as it is much more efficient after importing the asset csv file to go through your requester names and allocate assets to them rather than the other way around.

I prepared some general vbs script for alerting the Availability of some process. Can "Execute Program Action" pass some parameter to my vbs? Query regarding event log analyzer
Hi Can you please tell me if OpManager and Event log analyzer can run on the same server. Would it have any performmance issues. The hardware config of my server is : 2 GB RAM, 70 GB hard disk partitioned into two - one partion is 15 GB and the other is 60 GB. Issue with scheduled reports
Hi all, I have some scheduled reports for my devices, and I have errors in the data contained in these reports. For example, in one of the routers I managed, the report for 30 days availability gave 99% and the dynamic availability report from the router snapshot gives the real data, 75%. Enhancements to Time entry
We use the time entry window to capture notes about the stop as well as time. I could really use two enhancements: 1. Use the rich text editor. 2. The ability to create custom fields in the time entry record which can be seen by the report writer. I would be happy to pay for such changes. Neil

RAID monitoring possible?

Asset serial number
It is possible to see the asset serial number in the asset list. We usually buy a lot of PCs and it is very difficult to link an asset to a user or workstation if we have to access every asset in the list to see the serial number.

Issue with All Devices report
Hi there, we're trialing the free version of OpManager 6, and have run into an issue with the reports. At the moment, we're using it to simply keep track of the uptime of devices, via ping responses. We've had a device that has been down for more than 14 hours today, and if I go into the details of the device availability, it correctly shows that it has been down for that time. However, if I run an All Devices Availability report, it comes up saying that the device has had a max of 2 mins 14 sec
