OpManager MIB Browser Error
The OpManager MIB Browser displays an error message anytime I try to select a mib item ie: sysName. The error message is " ee [Object Error]" Has anyone ever seen this error or have an idea of the cause...I feel the browser is having problems reading the MIB files... OpManager version Build 6015 OS Windows 2003 Server Two User License PS -The same version of OpManager installed on a desktop "Windows 200 Pro" works fine....

configuring groups for email
How do i configure the groups to send email notifications when the group configuration wizard only selects technicians? If I create an email group id and call it a technician it will use a license. That would be double licenses usage. The email group and the technician.
Entries for the device are either partially added or removed
Then say "Click [here...] to remove and readd the device" but nothing happens. At the first time the device was added but after a couple minutes disappear and show this message and it doesn't allow me to readd the device.
Totel volume per host in IP group source/destination reports
I want to run a report against an IP group that will give me the total volume of traffic (Inbound and outbound) for the top N hosts in that IP group for the time period that the report is run for (In this case the last month). When I run a source report for this IP group for the last month, the totals for each host are much lower than would be expected. What data is being used to display this? Problem grouping hosts
Hi there, Recently I decided to remove all of the custom host groups I had set up in order to create new ones with more meaningful names and assign devices to the relevant group. In doing so, somehow some of the devices are no longer part of any group (not even DefaultGroup) and thus I can't reassign them to a new group. Does anyone know how I can fix this? This occurred whilst I was running SP2 but I have since upgraded to SP3. Regards, Lee

Issue in fetching requester info. Error while fetching user info for the [Email Address] : I started to get this error message when SC+ receives an update email from client. Also receive same error on new support emails. Recently updated to v6 and also migrated to MSSQL.

We are looking for a way to deal with alerts. We would like the ability to close and "resolve" alerts in the system, along with adding notes to the resolution. Currently alerts are informational only and cannot be deleted or notes added to them. Thanks!
Errors encountered in SOLARIS environment
1. Error in monitoring SOLARIS environment via SSH After supplying the username and password in the fields for OPManager to be able to monitor resources via telnet. We can't seem to get any of this to work. When we tried to login to the server via putty(using SSH protocol) we can invoke the commands used by OPManager to get the needed resoutrce. Edit "Product Name" of an existing asset.
After I imported some assets I noticed that they didn't all have matching "Product Name"s. When I click on a specifc asset I am unable to edit the Product Name field. Is there a work around that will not require me to edit the orginal data and re-import? Example: Printer NCS-5227 is also Printer NCS5227 and even Printer NCS5277 (typo)
Question about Surveys and Assignation
It Is possible to restrict a requester to create a new Request until answer the last survey received ? I suggest to allow to include a note when an assignation becomes and send this note to the assigned technician. Thanks in advance.
Testing email systems
We are running MSP Opmanager and were wondering if there is any solution for checking that email systems at our monitored clients are able to send and receive email. Whilst using Opmanager we can monitor the Exchange server and its services as well as the Internet connection there still may be other reasons why mail is not able to be sent or received. Whilst we can look at a solution external to Opmanager wed prefer to keep it within MSP Opmanager Any suggestions or ideas would be most appreciated

Alert Threshold for SNMP traps
Good day. Is there a way to be able to set an alert threshold for a number of SNMP traps received. Instead of just raising an alarm using the SNMP trap processor for every event?. This is obviously a requirement as devices will be sending varied and custom types of SNMP traps, and it is possible that one single event needs to trigger an alarm. I am aware you can do custom monitors and place a threshold on the number of times a poll exceeds the threshold, but this is not on SNMP traps. What I am monitoring

Hello, I am running OpManager 6015 on CentOS linux. For some reason OpManger fails to start automatically anymore. It used to work perfectly. I have tried reconfiguring via: chkconfig opmanger on And still doesnt start. Though when I go into the folder /etc/init.d and execute: ./opmanager start It start opmanager up and it works. Here is the output of /var/log/opmanger.log, it says it failed to start MySQL daemon. Any ideas why? inside addon check Unable to start Mysql daemon Unable to create database
OM6: install with remote MSSQL2005 backend database?
Hi, I am trying to install Opmanager6 on a debian linux server. I want to do this with a backend database on MSSQL2005, just like I did with SD+. However during install there is no DB selection field (like in SD+) and I cannot find it in the GUI either after the default MYSQL install. On the features page on adventnet.com it states that this should be done by accessin g the DB Manager, but I cannot seem to find this tool. Can anyone tell me how to install (not migrate) OM6 on a MSSQL database? thanks,

I am performing an evaluation of this product to monitor several URLs on a large enterprise intranet. Quite a few of our applications use NTLM authentication and I cannot get the Application Manager to work. Advanced Search doesnt give results with date range
When I search for firewall activity where the Source address is x.x.x.x, I get results. If I use the same criteria and specify a range of dates which is inclusive of the date from the first search, I get no data. I should at least get the same results as I did from the first search in which the date range is today. Are date range searches supported with "Advanced Search"? Web Form Questions
I need to see if anyone knows how to use an xml web page to submit requests. I really don't want the requesters to be able to change priority because every request will be High and not normal. I would rather the requester state that they need this to be a high priority in the notes. Also, I need to know how to selectively send user surveys out because we have repeat offenders that put in requests and they get miffed that we send them a user survey. Thanks, Ed.

Compliance Reports for Build 4030 version 4.0.3
I have been successfull in adding a Windows Server as "ANY SYSLOG DEVICE" which is running SNARE for WIN and am able to collect log files. One of the ncie features is the compliance reports. I have been successful in creating these reports, but only when i add the server as a Windows device. I really need the capability of creating the compliance reports without having to authenticate to the windows server. Any suggestions
View groups with ease
Is there a way to view requests by group easier than searching. I'd like to just click a dropdown and see the requests qued for a group
Deleting Reports
I need help with deleting reports listed under the Report Tab and the tab called My Reports - we have a technician that created these reports but he nor being logged in as an adminstrator will allow you to delete the reports.
Can not send Notifications
We are evaluating the software and everytime we try to send a notification, it fails with the following two entries in the support log. Exception while trying to send notification for Request ID : 5 Mail sending failed. and Exception while trying to send notification for Request ID : 5 Null We have tried using two different mail servers (1 internal and 1 external) but they both end up with the same error.
Opmanager installing on Suse?
Long time ago Suse was not supported to the point it would not install/run properly. I was able to get it going once I believe. My question now is Opmanager able to be truly installed and run from Suse, or should I look at Fedora instead?

Threshold for disk space
Is there a way in OpManager build 6010 to have more than one threshold set for disk space? For instance ATTENTION at 80% used, TROUBLE at 90% used and CRITICAL at 95% used. using WMI monitors on same system. Thanks.
Issue after upgrade
Since upgrade to version 6.0 when I log into support center, I get the main 'home' page, with quick create, search and recent items display in the middle of the screen. I have cleared out browser cache, and it is the same in Firefox and explorer. Any ideas? :?

Everything went fine for the last 3 weeks, but suddenly (yesterday evening) following error occured: We were not able to open the web interface of OpManager. After some investigations it seems there is a problem with the built-in webserver. The Apache Server was not running anmore. After the service being restarted by hand it went down immideatly without any error messages or eventlog entries. Now we tried to start the server again
