Custom report query - Business rules
Hello, I am creating metrics reports, but have a custom report that I wish to generate. I would like to generate a count for the business rules that were triggered by our helpdesk tickets. 1. is there a comprehensive ERD or data dictionary for the database that I can use for reporting? I have found a simple diagram on the query reports tab, but it is too simplified. or 2. Any chance that you could give me the query? Thanks for your help and have a great day. -H

Hi I am currently reviewing ServiceDesk Plus and have installed the 30 day trial version. I have a few questions about configuring the system. 1. can you change the Category Label Names, i.e change label from Category to Category 1, and Sub-Category to Category 2, and item to Category 3. 2. can I add more details from AD into the request template. fonts in approval requests
We use a couple of different templates for creating new requests. These look fine within Service Desk, but when we submit for approval, the templates contain different fonts and sizes and looks very messy. Any one else had this issue?
MSSQL Database on New Install - Bug
New install with MSSQL won't work for fetch emails. mail settings and requesters screens are also unavailable after start fetching. New Install with MySQL works fine on those issues. Thanks

Hello, We have the following Application config: 4 Machines 3Gb Memory each Suse Linux 10 Sles Machine 1: Opmanager Netflow Machine 2: Opmanager DeviceExpert Machine 3: Eventlog Firewalllog Machine 4: Eventlog Firewalllog We already tuned Netflow on the Mysql part. Is there a way to include a hostname or what the service is dynamically based on what item goes down? Similar to the way it works in email notifications? OM6 premium linux with MSSQL2k5 backend DB: licensed or not?
hi. we have purchased OM6 premium for linux and want to use it with a MSSQL 2005 backend database (which we already own). I have logged a case with adventnet and received instructions how to hack MSSQL support into OM6. Now we saw a new version / servicepack available on your site which states MSSQL support is available. i have 3 questions: 1) is this newer version (6013 i believe) a better way to get MSSQL support in our OM6? We have not installed it yet so we can do it right the first time. 2)
SD+ Integration gives error
Hello All, I'm using SD+ 5.5.0 build 5507 and Opmanager 6 build 6012. I've been trying to get integration to work, but can't get it. I've moved OM to a separate server, and I've tried every way I can think of to give OM the name of the SD+ server. I've even entered it's ip address. SD+ runs on port 80, OM on 9090. AD authentication is turned on, and the default account (administrator) was deleted. The message I get is : "Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus, The server might not be running
Watchguard showing No Data
I am currently getting no data available for My Firebox 1250x with fireware 9.0. At one point i had data, just not live traffic and it was working fine. now I am getting no data. Went through a bunch of posts here and tried a few things with no joy. Any suggestions

I want to configure a email smtp server, but appmanager cannot connect: Unable to contact the server xx.xx.xx.xx in port 25 I've configured the proxy! and excluded xx.xx.xx.xx. Hello. We have a written a product for a customer which interrogates the MySQL DB underneath SDP5 and delivers to the customer a suite of very specific management reports. Typically we access the workorder, workorder_fields, workorderstates, sduser & aaauser tables, plus several others. The customer would like to upgrade from 5.5 to 6.0 and we need to know if there is any risk our third party software will stop working. Workstations - Date acquired
Is there a way to add regular asset fields to the 'workstation' such as date acquired, vendor, purchase price, depreciation, etc.? Or am I not understanding how to use the Inventory module? I'd like to be able to track the value/age/etc. of the PCs themselves, not just the 'assets' that are associated with them. I tried creating a new mailing list for our daily reports using name@xxxx.com,name@xxxx.com, etc as the format, but when I choose this group for the report to send out to it does not send out. Hi, we have just installed Applications Manager 7 on the following spec machine: O/S:Windows XP CPU:3.39 RAM:1.48 The issue I am experiencing is that I have created an account on a domain controller. When I try to create a monitor for this machine, an error message is displayed indicating that the SNMP service is running. Upon checking the machine the SNMP service is runnning. Business View Popup Details
Is there any way to change the details that are shown upon mouseover in business view? I would like the display name to be a number and the popup details to include location details and other information. I'm using OpManager 7 currently. Also, is there a way to get a report of all availability statistics in a numeric representation list of each site rather than the graphical display (maybe in a table or something of the sort)? Warning Thresholds
Is there a way to set a counter to warn at a certain threshold and go critical at a later one? For example, if my CPU is hovering around 80% or more for a sustained period I would want a warning. If it is surpassing 95% for that same period I would want a critical alert that goes to a pager. Thanks, Colin

Import Event Log
we have many logs saved daily and we tried to import security log (550MB) to event log analayzer but it took 2 hours to do so can we import it and keep it in teh dayabase for 45 days? if yes how big the data base can hold? as we have many servers and each one has 4 or 5 logs each single log can be 600 MB? so we are talking about 10 GB of data will be imported from teh stored logs. is your tools able to do that? WMI Win2003 server
Hi, I am evaluating the new 7 version in an windows 2003 server environment SP1, SP2, without any SP and with no SNMP. So i have changed the templates to gather wmi information for CPU DISKS etc. No connection is done although the account is a domain admin account with full rights. I also checked with Microsoft to see if i have any problems on WMI but the tests are ok. Imagine that i cannot connect to WMI no even on the server were the application is installed. Regards Gabriel
Database Maintenance
I want to clean up my OpManager database as it's over 6GB now, but I don't want to just start over with it. Is there a way I can purge all of the performance data but keep all of the existing settings and managed items? I'm running 6016 with a MSSQL backend database. Also, how often does the Database Maintenance run to clean up the database, and is there a way to force the maintenance procedure to run? Thanks.
Physical Memory Utilization for Linux monitor issue
Hi all, I just install Application Manager (AP) 7.3 in Windows XP for testing and monitor a linux server. I use "telnet" method to get information from Red Hat Linux server. I find that the value for Physical Memory Utilization is different from the value getting directly in Linux server ( run command "free -m" ). The used memory should be 340M but in AP just show 118M ( I don't capture the screen). So I wonder how Application Manager generate the result for Physical Memory Utilization. Please help

Here's what happenend: I went into the Notification Profiles page and create a new notification profile. To keep our notification profiles in a standard format I like to view an existing notification profile while I work on the new one.
