Installation v7

We recently purchased our license for OpManager Premium, which was of course v6, however due to a delay on the server arriving late v7 is now available and uses Device not use licensing (a real negative from our perspective)
However, the real question is can i just install v7 using my v6 license or do I have to install v6, and wait for the upgrade pack?
