Where can I download version 6?
Where can I download the install for version 6? I have a "somewhat" working version of 6 and since the upgrade to 7 won't be available for awhile, I want to backup my current install and re-install as I seem to be getting some errors in my event log due to ServiceDesk and wrapper and a couple of things I was hoping a fresh install would fix but of course I didn't keep the original file used to install SD+ 6 Chris
Disabled or Operational Down identification problem
I'm trialing the OpManager v7 and I found many problems in it. The biggest problem of all is, it is unable to identify whether is interface(i.e. switch port) is disabled or disconnected. Is there anyway to tweak OpManager so it can identify it more clearly?

Adding Cisco 871W routers in v7
Hi, I modified the Cisco 800 Device Template to include the device OID for a Cisco 871W. I then added one of these to OpManager, which appeared successfully - it's listed in the Router category. After coming in the next morning, When I select switches from the main window, I get the error: No Infra Structure View found with this name. Why might this be happening and how do I get all of my switches, alerts, and reports back?

Hi, We are trying to evaluate ur product for our MSP. I installed 1 probe and opmanager MSP adition 6004. I have added a windows service to monitor. I have also configured the snmp service to send trap to probe. But I am not getting any trap or Alarm in the Opmanager when I stop the service. Similarly I wanted to know is it possible to do monitor a process in Linux or Unix systems? Can we get a trap? Where can I see the snmp traps coming to opmanger?? Regards YAsh

Monitoring Dell Server
I would like to monitor our Dell Poweredge servers. I have downloaded the MIBs from Dell's site however I am getting an error when attempting to load up the 10892.mib file in the mib browser. It comes up with an error about a scripting problem and doesn't display any values. I have tried to upload a different version of the file but it fails. MSSQL Monitors (WMI Based)
I am using opmanager 6 and trying to set up monitoring for sql server. When I select MSSQL Monitors (WMI Based) I get a page with SQL services and SQL Monitors. I ticked the parameters I want to monitor and clicked OK. I get the message 'Successfully added MSSQL services & monitors' on the top, But I can't see any monitors under Application Monitors. Error adding Vendor Specific
I've attempted to add GE UPS monitoring to our OpManager, it doesn't appear to be working correctly. I've followed http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=5702 but when coming to test, say, UPSCharge, the test window pops up with the APC UPS OID listed and then fails to read anything. Why is it still using the APC OID's?? It's set as the new GE UPS type I've created and the XML files have all the correct OID's :(
Request Type not showing in Requestor or Technician views
Hi, In SD+ 7.0 Professional trial version, although the Request Type (Incident, Request for Information, Service Request) can be set in the Request Form Customiser, it doesn't show up on the request form views for selection at all. This will be important as it may determine who deals with the request and for if we look at upgrading to the Enterprise version at a later stage. Cheers, Wayde
Standard Configurations
I've searched but have not found whether or not it is possible to create a standard configuration so that a new device can be powered on with minimal configuration (IP, etc) and then have the real configuration be pushed from DeviceExpert. Variables in the configuration would be nice for device specific details (IP, default gateway are two that come to mind) Thanks
Issue - Oracle Tablespace Read/Write Times
Got an issue in 7410 - we got an alert saying that tablespace read and write times were exceeding the threshold. Now, several days later, that alert is still there, and whenever we clear it, it immediately returns on the next poll with the same values. Any suggestions?
Bulk Change of Interface thresholds on VLAN interfaces
How do I change the interface thresholds on all my switch interfaces? I go into admin->interface thresholds and make the change. I get a script error after making the changes. I don't abort the script, but all the ports are not changed to the new thresholds, only some of them. None of the VLAN interfaces are changed.
eval deviceexpert but when scheduling a config backup fails
i have a bunch of cisco switches that i've loaded up into the eval and i'm trying to schedule config backups on an hourly basis. However consistently it's failing the majority of the switches. I've put it into debug mode and am submitting the log files after the most recent attempt it made.

Switch Port Display Name in Email Alert
Hi, I have Opmanager MSP Edition Build 6004. There are around 50 to 60 Switches configured on it and alerts also have been set for specific functions, now the issue here is that when any port goes down it sends an alert to the team with the Port Number in the mail rather than the Display Name, this becomes very nuisance for the Team to recognize. I got a very urgent question here i got a Fortinet 50A running FortiOS 3.0 that i want to analyzed using your software however i have configured the firewall to send syslog information to the server where i installed firewall analyzer using port 1514 but the software can detect the syslog information send to that port i have tried with different porta but no results do you got a solution for that?

hi. Using OpManager 7 GA with MySql I get the following message when the logon screen comes up "Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server". It was working fine for a few days after install then when I tried to logon this morning I get this error. I run RepairDB - it seems to work but I still get the same error when I restart OpManager. I shutdown Opmanager services before running repairdb. Eeekkk. thanks, Lerwick

Unable to scan domain after installing latest v7 patch
After installing the latest service pack for Version 7 I am unable to scan the domain, click on any of the top icons, and a few more things. I have also installed Micrososft updates and possibly the WSUS 3.0 update (as the server is also a WSUS server) has caused Version 7 to go wrong. Any ideas I now can't run anything? Regards Neil

Hi - I have OpManager 6016 running and need to monitor some LINUX machines. I have been given the details of what to monitor but can only find hrSystemUptime in the Host Resource MIB and required monitors in other MIBs. Other monitors required are such as procStatus / diskPctUsed etc and I'm a bit stuck. Is there a MIB I should have but don't have? Was going to use Custom Monitors for these. Also - The LINUX serversa arrn't mine and the admin of the boxes is insisting snmpwalk should be used to get

sql query for group status
Hi, could someone enlighten me about the way to pull the status of the groups (Routers, Switches, Desktops...) from the database? we're looking at monitoring these statuses as "applications via app manager and i can't find the DB entries for it. in fact i can't find the group definitions at all.. i notice that a device type of "switch" is in the "switches" category, but adding my own category there's no way to configure the plurarl and all that... anything in my "Appliances" category is an "Appliances"

One of my server shows 38% availability in monthly report (June). Is there anyway to change this value because i forgot to put this server in downtime scheduler? Thanks.
