Hello, I am using the trial version of Supportcenter and am so far very impressed. My question is, is there a way to perform the following: Have a field (example: rate) on the Account page which will contain the rate that our firm charges the account/client. On the Time Entry page have it already populate the cost depending on the hours put in. 1 hour = $100 Ability to run report to see what the tech cost was and how much profit is to the company. Forgotten Password
I have the problem of being locked out of the admin account. I don't know if I changed the password, or if it just stopped working. I have OpManager 6.0 and NetFlow Analyzer 5.505 running on Windows Server Standard (R2). There is no guest account, so the guest, guest solution doesn't work. Please send me instructions or a patch to fix my login problem. About a week ago, I sent my e-mail address and request for assistance to support@netflowanalyzer.com I never received a reply.
NOCserver properties
NOCserver properties used to be part of opmanager msp 6 but not 7 How do i configure opmanager 7 to commnicate with the central server at a remote location. secondly i have a licence for opmanager 6. but due t difficulty in getting opmager msp 6 to work on our lan i decided to try opmanager 7. which does apper to be working. (Though like i indicated this lan has to be monitored from a remote location so it should communicate with a central server.) can i convert my license to cover the evaluation
Automated Backups for OpManager
I have a scheduled task that is supposed to run backupdb.bat every night. The task isn't closing properly because backupdb.bat ends with a "press any key to continue" prompt. Is there any way to edit this out of backupdb.bat? Thanks, Carolyn

discard alarms on all Nortel blade switches
Hi, on my trial of OpManager 7004 i've Cisco 2950's, 2960's and 3750's and they're apparently humming along just fine, but i've also 8 Nortel GbESM L2-3 blade switches, and OpManager is reporting that various ports (basically any that are in use) have 100% discard rates, which is obviously not correct. looking at the snmp if table directly one such interface has ifInOctets sitting at 24640, and ifInDiscards at 289. doing the maths this is what... 1.2%? yet OM is saying it's 100%... what gives? Fetching the IP routing table - incomplete results?
Hi, I seem to be having trouble getting the IP routing table back from my Cisco routers. I only ever seem to get back the gateway of last resort (i.e., the static default route). No other static or dynamic routes appear in the OpManager output at all. This happens with OpManager 6 and 7. many thanks, alec

Seems to have died over the weekend. No statistics or graphs. Ran the repairdb util in case the db got scrampled somehow but that didn't solve anything. Help.
Linking external databases / programs
Hello I'm evaluating OpManager 6.0 for my company. The tool looks pretty good but i couldn't find out if it's possible to get external tools to work with OpManager. We've got some self-coded Tools (PHP/MySQL, Lotus Notes) which held much information about our servers and clients. So my question(s): Is there something like a scripting interface for OpManager? Is it possible to extend it with little effort (no big programming etc.)? It would be possible to hack some scripts to sync the different databases
Self create a requestor?
I have not seen any posts about this, so here goes. Is it possible for a new requestor to create their own user/password if they do not exist in the requestor table? The reason I ask is that we are in a mixed AD environment that we can only query 1 of the AD domains. We do have users of the other domain that will need access to create tickets for us, but the quantity will be large enough to make it a huge headache to have to create requestors for each individual in our organization.

google map inaccurate
Hi there, I'm not sure if this issue is particular to google maps or to NFA, but I have just mapped the location of a few of my routers (in varying locations across Europe) and after doing so, it never keeps the *exact* location of where I mapped it to. It's usually a few miles off where I clicked, when I view the map again. Anyone else experiencing this or might know what the cause is? Regards Lee
Data unavailable on searching for historical data
Can anybody help? I use netflow analyzer to create monthly reports on all of our ipclear nodes - however on selecting on any node the criteria to show '1 week or earlier' i get a list of protocols - but when i then drill down on a particular protocol to find out source and destination addresses i receive a 'data unavailable' message. Raw data is currently set to 2 weeks and nbar rawdata to 1month.

Removing unneeded requesters
Hi, When first setting up SDP, I imported a lot of requesters (students) that do not use the system. The common trait is none of these requesters have an e-mail address. Is there some automated way I can remove everyone without an e-mail address from the database? It's around 5000 users so there's no practical way to do it manually. Thanks much, Endaar
Creating SLA's
Hi All, I'm after some advice on creating SLA's. I would like to have a number of them such, A response SLA which notifies the tech of a new request and alerts me if its not asigned within a set period of time then escalte at set interval after that. Then a resolution SLA that fires when the request is not resolved after a set period of time. Then specifc rules on special items I can handle I think. I cant seem to work out how to do the first two! must admit to only just having installed it mind!

SD+ 7 Crashes While Importing from AD
We are testing 7.0 on an extra VM we have, and while importing new Requesters from AD, SD+ crashes and fails to respond. I have to remote desktop into the VM, and restart it for SD+ to come back. Any idea what could be wrong?
Send notification to technician when a requester add notes
Is there any way of sending a notification to the Technician, or all the technicians in the group responsible for a request, when a requester add notes at the self service portal? Thanks
SDP 7.0 Enterprise - Vista , No login, blank screen
Have tested this on our two Vista Ultimate Machines, when you goto "http://servername:8080" you just get a blank page, no error. On Windows 2003 Servers and Windows XP clients with IE 7.0 it logs in fine (Love the pass-through authentication). Only occurs in version 7.0, 6.5 is fine.

Active Directory Technician logins
Glad to see Active Directory integration in ServiceDesk Plus. However, I am confused regarding Technicians. It is unclear how to create technicians from users imported from Active Directory. Do I still have to manually create logins for Technicians or can I turn Requesters into Technicians? Also, is there an easy way to convert current Technicians with all their calls and ToDo lists into AD logins?
Cannot monitor sub interfaces
I have a Cisco 2811 with 2 ethernet and 2 serial interfaces that I am monitoring with OpManager Ver 7. The 2 ethernet interfaces and one serial are being monitored correctly however the serial interface that has sub interfaces does not seem to work. OpManager is not retrieving any stats for the sub interfaces. Is is a known bug? Please see attached. Thank you Ramzi

Hi, I'd like to change gauges and views to the main page of a device (snapshot view). For example, when clicking on a server, there are guages for CPU load, Memory load, etc. I'd also like to change the disk utilisation to diskspace c: Anyone an idea ?
Alert Config Issue
When I try to configure alerts for one of my monitor groups I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error, but the same task works fine in FireFox. Robert Cantrell
Email Request Feature
I installed ServiceDesk Plus 2 days ago. I setup the incoming & outgoing mail server settings and emails are going out to the technicians as they are supposed to based on the notification settings. The one thing that is not working for me is the email to servicedesk mail box and the conversion of email into a request. The mail fetching status is Running. Anyone have any thoughts why the emails are not getting converted into requests. PS Great product. Once I have this working my boss has blessed

In SP 6+ when you connect to the login screen you have the administrator and guest accounts displayed. When I click on dont display these items I get an error on page error. Any ideas ?
Email Communication
Hi Recently, I upgraded the SD+ from 6000 to 6011 but there is a problem in the email communication. Alert Technician by Email when a request is assigned, Alert(or Notify) Technician by Email when there is a new reply from the requester and Send e-mail when an Application Error Occurs (For eg., Mail fetching problems) are not working Even, Submit request for approval doesn't work as well I got this message when I submit request for approval HTTP Status 500 - --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
