Server monitor, windows systems, ping failure

I have a problem with a server monitor for one of our windows 2003 server. The location of our app manager installation is Germany and the controlled server is located in Brazil.

After add the monitor to the app manager, the status for the windows system in Brazil is red too often. The monitor page views the message "system is down, Ping test failed" even though the remote system is running and the ping on the dos command line is working.

I'm increasing the "times consecutively before reporting the monitor is down" on the alert configuration for the monitor above and the message shows again less than before. But the message shows and I can't configure a alert event based on this faithless monitor result. The controlled system is definitely online during the monitoring above!

Please take a look to the screen shots of my monitor and the output of the ping command line. I think, app manager has a problem to run a ping for far away remote hosts.
