Downtime Scheduler
Is it possible to use the downtime scheduler on a monitor in a specific device or is there another way to go around this problem? If it was possible to create a dummy device i could add the url monitor i want to that device and include the device in the scheduler, but it seems its not possible to create a device that doesn't exist. The url monitor option under admin would be a solution because its possible to add those to the scheduler, but on the other hand i can�t connect any notification profiles
Scanning new Assets (PCs)
I only seem to be able to scan one device at a time. Is there any way of scanning a range (perhaps an IP subnet) of devices ?
PO creation user problems
Is there any way that I can create a user that has the permission to be able to add in a new item when they create a purchase order? The only way I can do this is to make them an admin which I don't want to do. When I log in as the user and create a new PO I can select the vendor from the drop down but on the next screen I can only choose from existing items. When I am logged in as admin there is an extra button that lets me create a new item. Any help much appreciated.
SD+ V7 Performance Issue
Has anybody else experienced a drop in performance when using AD pass through authentication, everything seems to slow down, opening SD takes longer as well as submitting requests and making any admin. changes. Thanks

"SQL server not installed in localhost"
Attempting to convert a 6012 install to MSSQL, the same server with helpdesk has Sql 2005 (and the management client) on it. but neither localhost nor the computers name work they both show up as sql server not installed in localhost java errors ? Any ideas ?

Not node access
Hi all, I can't make get/set of a node from my mibbrowser, but it has value, because in my java code i have access to it. The node is a table, with four subnodes, and i have access to them in my java code, but i haven't got access to three of them from my mibbrowser. There is one accessible from the browser. The access attribute for all of them is read-create. What happen?? Many thanks in advance
CPU and Memory Utilization dial contain no data available
Hi there, I added a custom device template for my machines (win2003server). After I applied the machines to use this template, the CPU and memory utilization dials has no data available, whereas the rest are fine. When i switched back to the default Windows 2003 template, the dials appear again. Any idea? Thanks Robby
How many traffic can work up the Netflow Analyzer?
Hallo NA-Team, we reflect the Netflow Analyzer use additional in our LAN-Area. (@Raghu: Sorry, we are still in the decision-phase for our WAN.) But we have 4 Terrabyte (!!) LAN-traffic per day. How many traffic produce additional the Netflow Analyzer for this traffic-rate and can this work up the NA ? Thanks in advance Helko
not showing all traffic
I have a cisco 2800 router with 3 multilinked T1 lines which gives me 4.5MB of bandwidth. When looking at the netflow analyzer 6 pro it only shows 20% out traffic just under 1MB and no in traffic but when I look at MRTG for that router it shows that the router is being maxed out both the incoming and outgoing. Why is it not showing the incoming traffic ?
Event Log rule
Hi, We have the 'Any System Failure' rule on. However there are a few system 'failures' which are not (like RDP printer driver not available etc.). Is there a way we can apply an extra filter. I want to have the 'Any system failure' on but would then like to choose ones to filter out and not get notified about. What can be done here. Thanks Opus

Collecting log data to view history not working.

Custom Infrastructure Views and Exchange monitoring
We have just upgraded to OpManager version 7, and I have to say that it is a great improvement over 6. Problem: When I create another Infrastructure View for mail servers, and I move an exchange server into that category, the exchange dashboard view disappears from the snapshot page for that server. This is a problem because we really want to use the infrastructure views to categorize our servers. Is there something I can do to enable this? It also seems to be the case with the MSSQL monitors.

Everytime I click on the "Tools Home" I gat promted to key in my "proxy" username and passowrd. I have upgraded to my profession edition so I don't understand why me moving around in the software requires me to connect thru my proxy server to your site.. for some sort of hidden "monitoring" of your software like spyware.. Subnet lists
We currently are using UTN connections to all our major nodes within or Network. I'm trying to get a list of all our used subnets, would be nice with the description field for each subnet off the router or switching device when found if possible or even the interface identification. Can this be done and if so please send me how too, I'm doing an evaluation of the product. Richard Weigel

Exporting reports
I've been playing with the trial of adManager plus. One of the things I am trying to accomplish is to export a list of users and all their group memberships to an xls file. i've generated the report, but when I use the export to xls button all that happens is the active screen is exported (if I set screen to list 100 then thats all that are exported). Its not exporting the actual results fo the report. Am I doing something wrong?

How to handle multiple audited objects?
We have extended NmsAuditAPI to audit the clearing of alerts by an operator. The audit() method gets invoked for all the operator actions. Email address format when using a template
I am importing users from a CSV file and using a template. However my problem is as follows: 1. When creating a template, it forces me to define an email format. It won't let me set it to blank. 2. When using the template, if I specify an email address in the csv ("mail" field), it ignores it and always uses the email format it forced me to specify in the template. This means that to import users with specified email addresses, I either have to accept the forced template value, or decide not to use

Hi, I have had a search through the forums but I can't seem to find what I am looking for. I use SD+ Version : 6.0.0, Build Number : 6003. Custom Monitor / Device Template problem
Hello all, maybe i understood something wrong, hopefully you can give me a hint: We have several Windows 2003 Server. All are Dell Servers. On One of this Servers there is a Lotus Domino Server installed, on others are other Systems running. Now we have a device Template for Windows 2003 Server. This Device Template does not hold the monitors for Lotus Domino (which is running on some of this servers, not all). change software category not working
hi, after creating associating minor versions of software with their parent we get the following error when looking at the software we are not able to change the category it also prevents the actions drop down menu and "change" link from working
System keeps emailing last assigned job ?
I think someone has tinkered with our system as it was working ok at the beginning of the week. We now have a small issue in that the last assigned request to a certain tech is being emailed every 15 minutes but only during business hours. Any ideas how I can stop this ? He admits to changing some of his views but hasnt changed anything else (dont you love it when that happens!!!) Thanks in advance. Mike

Keep custom workstation field info after changing name
We have three custom fields (additional info) under the workstation that we keep an asset number we assign to new machine generated from another program. We also store the PO number and purchase date. However when the workstation name changes the info in this fields is lost. Is there any way we can keep the info in these fields irrespective of the workstation name. We regularly change workstation names on upgrades and for specific jobs.
Report Query - Past 24 Hour Updated/Created Requests
I am trying to write a custom query that would give me a list service requests that have been updated or created in the past 24 hours and the notes/replies replies that are associated with that service requests. Charts too small & bug in troubleshoot!
Hello. Why traffic charts are so small? I have monitor with resolution 1280x1024, but charts maximum 640 ? And NF have a bug in troubleshoot page (version 5, 5.5, 6). If i set lage interval (From: To: 10-15 days) then NF in 90% display "No data available". but with same filters in small intervals (1-2 days) everythings good.
Threshold can not be deleted ...
Hello all, How can i delete a threshold rule for a monitor at a special windows 2003 device? I tried deleting the values in the filed "Threshold Alert" and "Rearm value" and hit OK. After reopening the Threshold setting nothing seems to be changed, the old values are still set and it still says "violated". Regards Jenson
