UDP port zero ???
Hello People, Im having some strange data here .... I understand that TCP/UDP ports that has no application mapping created are categorized as TCP_App and UDP_App, no problem on that. THe strange thing is that i'm seeing several ZERO ports on UDP_App report. The strange is that TCP_App correctly shows the ports, but UDP report shows me several zero ports. I was expecting to see lots of random ports. But as we know, there's no traffic on zero port !!! How can this be possible ? Is there a way of 'fixing'
Body Message in Scheduled report
When a place a message in the body of the scheduled report, it doesn't show the space in every graph. Does anybody how to solve this? Thanks

Hello there, As I am having trouble with the reporting module (see other posts about issues with the Reporting Module, mainly about "FAILURE :Unable to execute report"), I am trying to get some reports from Excel, by using the MySQL ODBC Connector. All this works fine, but now I have a question. I see date/time-fields converted to numberstrings (like 1191503266944 for a timestamp somewhere in October 2007). Can anyone tell me which datetime-algorithm is used in SDP, so I can convert those strings
Purchasing Process
I work in an office where we have a purchasing process already set up that will not involve SD7. I would like to use the purchasing feature of SD7 to track the purchasing for the department I work in. Is it possible to by-pass the approval process for purchasing or can I submit and approve purchases myself?

Editing Note Timestamp?
Hello all, Running build 6012. Is there any way to edit the timestamp on the notes within SD, or for the timestamp to remain unaffected? We have instances where we choose to edit a note a couple of days later, and the timestamp is immediately updated to reflect the change. Can this be turned off, or can we manually update times? accessing netflow 6 from machine other than local host

Device Templates appling does not remove monitors

Problem with Domain Controllers
Hello! My OpManager Version is 7010. I have a problem with one of our Domain Controllers. It's the second time that that happens: -> one Domain Controller is lost (restart or malfunction) -> after restarting the server it gets the ip address from another Domain Controller -> the ip address of the other server then is 0.0.0.0 -> after that OpManager says "Device is down" Where is the problem?? If I do a ping to both servers they show me their correct ip address. Only OpManager swaps the addresses

If I install event log analyzer will it support keeping the data on a NAS drive? I understand if the device is seen as a drive letter will install but is there any kind of latency issues with writing the data over the ethernet network rather than a local disk drive? Java Chewing Resources, Helpdesk unresponsive
Hi all, Hopefully someone can help me with this before my license key arrives... Java.exe is chewing CPU & Memory Resources. I've just installed SD7 build 7002 on a Dual P3 1.4Ghz machine, with 2.5GB Ram and 40GB HDD space, using MySQL. Java seems to be chewing up all available system resources, even though the system isnt doing anything. Hello, I have a new server that I want to move Oputils to, I upgraded the old version to the latest 4324 and the new install to the same, is it a matter of copying the OpUtilsDB.fdb file over to the new server and starting OPUtils?
Can not "remove" custom monitor from a device
During my trial I created a custom monitor and added it to the windows 2003 template. I only needed it for one server. I can delete it from all but one other w3k server.

I'm testing this bug: Create OU with _only_ English symbol and move to this OU one computer and one user with English login name. Run on this OU ServiceDesk AD scan for computers, scan return _one_ computer found. In a similar scan this OU to users, return _one_ user found. Assigning software with multiple enterprise licences

3com switches trunks are always seen as down with OpManager 7 when individualy ports part of that trunk showing up. Discovery runs and well detect trunk capabilities but seems unable to see it up and monitor the link status.
Send Email when a task is assigned to a technician
Hi, When I check this notification under Notification Rules then Save the new setting, SD+ does not indicate that the notification has been turned on by now showing the tick in the checkbox. Is this a known issue? If so how can I get around it and turn this thing on as we want to assign tasks to other techs but they are not receiving the notification. We are presently testing ServiceDesk Plus and we are running into this error message FAILURE :Unable to execute report when attempting to launch any default reports. Quick Create - force select requester
We have a problem where our technicians use quick create but instead of selecting the requester they just type in the requesters name. This adds a new requester to the list but no other details are added. There are two issues with this. 1. The requester doesn't get an email confirmation of the logged request 2. The requester is duplicated in the requester master list. We like quick create alot as when the helpdesk is very busy we use this feature and the a pool of technicians can pick up the unassigned
