Make merged request ID's searchable
Is it possible to make a merged request searchable. Basically, we may know that a request exists somewhere with ID 1234 and someone has merged it with 5678. But if you search for 1234 in the search no results are returned. And with the huge number of requests in the system, it almost makes it impossible to find a merged request. This is for when a customer may say, what happened to my request 1234... and the particular support person would then not be able to find that request anywhere.... Thanks
Renaming Workstations by Script (SDP 7 Ent.)
Due to the DNS suffix bug (raised with ServiceDeskSupport [Request ID :##6005320##] : DNS Suffix) I have a LARGE number of PC's displaying the wrong DNS suffix. I need a script that will update the database (currently using MYSQL but can upgrade to MSSQL) and modify every wrong entry to the correct one for me. There is no way I am editing over 600 workstations 1 by 1! I also have a number of duplicate Workstation names, again a script must be the way to go... Thank you for your time to the people

Is there a way we can get reports on request type i.e. breakup of all the requests for a given duration on request type so we can further dilate how many incidents did we get etc.
Print Preview - Notes Information Missing V 6.0.0 build 6009
Hi I was notified by a customer that they take screen prints of the issue items and use in review meetings. It would appear that they no longer get the public notes section in print preview mode? As most of the useful information appears in the notes it should print this as well. Has anyone else seen this since the version 6.0.0 build? Thanks Andy

Technical Support - JBoss 4.2.1
We got a strange Problem with JBoss monitoring. On creation of the JBoss monitor (v 4.0.2 & above) the montior collects Data and displays all the information correct. JVM, EJB and JDBC Data is displayed correct. However, on the second data collection pass, this Data is not displayed anymore. Going into the JBoss jmx console and looking at the DataCollector MBean shows that he does not collect the data. Invoking any of the MBean Operations throws exceptions. Is there a way to hide solutions so that only Technicians can view them? I want to put some IT proccess and procedures within the Solutions section; but of course don't want employees to see them. Enterprise admin server out of sync
I'm having some difficulty with our enterprise admin server and keeping it in sync with our managed servers. We have one admin server on a windows machine, one managed server on a windows machine, and one managed server on a Linux machine. There are monitors that display grey dots for availability and health for days now--these monitors are green/green when viewed from the managed counterpart. Also, there are monitor groups that are displayed on the Home tab as having a certain number of member monitors
[MSP6003] Java.exe on probe memory leak
Right now we are facing are very very serious problem with our MSP 6003 probes. On all of our probes java.exe is causing high memory utilization. We have to restart the Opmanager probes on a hourly base right now, this is very time-consuming and that's ofcourse costs money!!

SDP Asset license maxed out
I have a 10 tech 450 node license to SD Plus 7 Professional. Running SDP v 7009. My current asset count is showing as 443 despite only 263 being categorised as IT assets. I was told that asset licensing is on a per node basis, and a node is defined as being an asset with an IP address when we purchased SDP. Please advise what the issue is and how it can be resolved as this is preventing us from using SDP to manage our environment as we want. Thanks Tim

SFLOW data
Im running Netflow Analyzer 6.0 and have just started sending it sflow data from an Alcatel-Lucent 6850. I can see this data arriving at the PC with Ethereal but I am not seeing anything in the product. What should I see and where? In the License Management? In the Device list? The data is arriving on the same port as the Netflow data (which is being processed fine). Is this allowed or must they use different ports?

Update additional request field based on text string
Hi We receive support requests via email from customers. Sometimes they come from other automated support desk applications (ServiceDesk Plus in one case!). I'd like to be able to search for text strings in the subject or body of the email, say ## in the case of ServiceDesk Plus, and then copy the next x characters into an additional field, so our system can have a record of the customer's tracking system reference. Obviously there'd be different rules for each account, but I'm happy to set that

limit of managed nodes for free OpManager 7
Hi I recently upgrade Opmanager 6 to 7th version. Version 6 of opmanager was released free for up to 20 managed nodes while ver. 7 is released free for up to 10 nodes. Since I have to deal with up to a dozen of nodes I was warried to do such an upgrade but I noticed that the system kept on managing all my nodes even after the upgrade. Hi guys, Huge problem here! I'll try to explain.. I was having trouble configuring mail server properties in SDP7.0, so i decided trying to restart the SDP service on my server. Closing the service went ok. When i ran run.bat i got the message that the account i was using to connect to the database has a expired password - i then went to the SQL server and reset the password on the specific account. Went back to the SDP server and ran changedbserver.bat in order to see if i could connect to the database
