Oracle Error ... Performance of Datafiles not shown
Hi, We have Application Manager Build 8300 and using Oracle Monitoring. Our database have 2 Oracle SID's in one server and the "Performance of Datafiles" is not shown under Table Space tab. Supposed to be, it should have 20 datafiles as shown in Oracle Enterprise Management. See attachment. I already tried to delete and add again this monitor but still, the problem is the datafiles is still not shown. Kindly please help on this issue on this latest build 8300.

Asset scan for Printers routers and switches
While doing an AD scan for assets, I noticed only workstations, servers and some printers are found. We have around 44 printers in our AD domain (most of the same make and model) The AD scan however does not detect all of them. For some reasons some printers are being skipped on every scan while the setup is excactly the same for all of them. Also routers and switches are not found. How can I detect these?

problem connecting to server
Hi, I want to run MnageEngine as a limited user. I want to give it the rights on the host machine to do its job, no more. ELA (event log analyzer) by default runs as a local system account. I created new local user account and gave it full control permission to the ELA folder. ELA launched fine. I added a number of windows hosts but ELA shows an orange circle tih white square on it. I found that this means "problem connecting to server". I eddited permissions on the root of WMI namespace on the host

Custom HomeScreen?
would it be possible to change the layout of the front screen? we would like to use both the infrastructure and business snapshot as a live system status style display. however currently we cant display more than 10 lines without using the more option. ideally would would live to show around 20 lines to show in detail alot of our services that are live. even if it ment we lost the alarms graph or availabilty distribution. is there any way we can change this view?

No monitors working after license install
We've just purchased OpManager Premium. I had been using it previously with the 30 day evaluation license. After I received the purchased license and installed it, none of the monitors are working for any of the devices. I've tried shutting down and restarting OpManager and restarting the server that OpManager is installed onto but with no success. Can someone please shed some light on what could possibly be wrong? Issue with OpManager's Windows Service Monitors and Same Dis
I already created a ticket, but I am posting in the forums so everyone is aware. We are having an issue with OpManager 7, 7102. We have seen a situaton with OpManager's Windows Service Monitors where if the same display name for the service exists on two servers with different windows service names, then OpManager erroneously shows the different service name as down. Here is the evidence: 2 Exchange Servers. 1 is Exchange 2003, 1 is Exchange 2007. Both run POP3. Exchange 2007's service display name
Put the 'Save and Close' button back on the Resolutions page
I noticed in the latest patch that you have removed the 'Save and Close' button from the Resolutions page and added a drop down list to change the status of a request. Why couldn't you just leave the 'Save and Close' button where it was and still have 'Close' on the drop-down list for those who want to use that?

OPManager gone strange....
Hi, OPManger has decided not to let me view any of our systems, attached is the home page i`m getting on opening. Also attached is the Infrastructure view also which is blank. I have shut the server down and rebooted and repair db also, no difference. Any idea`s??
OpManager says interface is down, but interface is up
Hi, Recently, my Opmanager reported that my router interface constantly 'went down' for a few minutes and then 'went back up' minutes later. However the interface is very much up and running. This has happened a few times within the span of a few hours. It seemed like Opmanager was unable to ping the particular IP of the interface at certain intervals and reported it as 'down'. This was the first time in a very long time that Opmanager behaved this way and I have yet to find an explanation for this.
Feature Suggestion
When you are on the "Add Device" page could it be possible to add a "select" or "deselect" all box for the "credentials to use" part? As I get add more devices from different areas that have different credentials i have to manually go through and remove all of the selected boxes when there is only one I really need. Thanks, Joe

Problem getting data from dataset
I attempted to parameterize a value in my test using a csv file. When running the load test I received the error "Problem in getting Datas From Dataset. Please check the Dataset Configuration in Parameterization." After numerous attempts to fix, I just deleted the csv file and set the values back to their default value. Running the test resulted in same error. Deleted the transaction and load test, recreated transaction and load test - nothing parameterized yet still receive the same error. Any ideas?
URL Monitor reports, high response times
Hi, We've just set OpManager(7102) to watch 32 URLs we host. The response times for these are incorrect as any machine on the same network pinging these URLs will get 1ms consistently. Our urls in OpManager are showing 15-2281ms response time. Is there a better way to get OpManager to return accurate response times while monitoring URLs?

Custom fields cannot be add in the blank request
some custom fields which added in somewhere like "requester" or "technicians" are not available to be added in the defaul request... but after i create the request, it can be shown. It seems very trouble for users which they need to access the request twice to finished the request filling... will it be possible to be shown all customize fields at the blank request...
SNMP scan returns incorrect System Type for HP Procurve swit
I'm testing OpUtils and found one problem. We have both HP Procurve 2626 and 2810 switches installed. When I do an SNMP Scan, the Procurve 2626 switches are listed with a System Type of "hp procurve switch 2626-cr" but the 2810 switches are listed with a System Type that is actually a device's DNS Name. Any idea why the Procurve 2810 switches are not listed with the correct System Type?
perf reporting problem
I am trying to monitor some linux servers via snmp but it is showing 100% CPU and 99% Memory utilization in Manage Engine Application Manager. We are using version 8 b=, build no 8100. When I use ssh to monitor the same boxes it shows the normal utilization figures. Shailendra
Speed Value Problem
Hi, I'm evaluating Netflow Analyzer 7 Professional for a small ISP. Our primary goal is to measure our clients netblocks downstream traffic in order to better load balance our Internet links. The problem is that we see a big difference between the real traffic in the devices we're monitoring and what Netflow Analyzer reports. As you can see in the attached graphics, we got about 1Gbps of downstream traffic, but Netflow Analyzer reports only about 190Kbps. We're using Cisco 7609-S Routers (IOS 12.2(33)SRB2)
Unable to restore DB
Hi, trying to restore a backup from our production environment to test environvemnt, i cannot complete this operation succesfully. No errors are displayed but i cant find datas in test environment. The 2 installations are MYSWL based, both version 7, PROD 7.015 TEST 7.016. Is there any advice? Thanks Cesar

mysql root password change
Hi there, we've just accuaired manageengine. First thing I did after I isntallation was the MYSQL root password change (it's blank by default). I opened the console from the web interface and executed the follwing statement "UPDATE mysql.user SET Password=PASSWORD('password') WHERE User='root'" - this succesfully changed password and I can get with MySQL amdinistator on to the databse just fine. The web interface stoped working though. I assume that the password can be chaged somewhere in config
Moving installation
We have SDP (release 7014) installed on a virtual server and found that the origianl size of the hard drive was too small. When we tried to resize the drive we found that this wouldn't be possible through Windows 2003 server. So, that brings us to the next question - how difficult is it to move the application within the same server? Home View group monitor status not updating
So it appears as though whenever a monitor instead of a monitor group goes down or its health changes, the status of the entire group still shows "green or good" in the home view. Why is this happening? I need to be able to glance at the status without having to look at the number of errors to determine the health of my equipment.
