Monitor Serial no.

We are currently on SD+ Build 7015. As workstations are scanned and information on workstations monitor is populated, it seems the serial no. is no. While I understand that if the information is provided through WMI, it will populate following a scan of a workstion however; if we need to add the serial number manually, when you edit a workstation, the serial number field does not appear.

It would seem the only way to do this on SQL database is to enter the information on the dbo.MonitorInfo table which isn't best practice.

Will the ability to enter monitor information be available in a future release of SD?

There is a forum post on here from early 2007 which states that Q2 release will address and solve this issue however; this doesn't appear to be the case.

Please advise how we can solve this problem without manually editing the DB tables as we have a number of monitors which we need to track for warranty purposes.
