BUG ?: a Web monitor keeps monitoring the old IP address
hello support, my precedent request was about how to change IP addresses of some monitors. it works fine for the server (updateIP.sh) but not for the Web_server monitor associated to them. I did the change by using the shell script. everything is fine when i check the server monitor. but when i check the Web_server monitor associated with the server, he keeps the old IP address. thank you for your help IEC-IT Department

Purchase Orders - Adding Products
The way that products are added to the purchase order needs to be redesigned... Current issues: 1. When selecting a vendor the items list area automatically populates with all of the products associated with that vendor. 2. When clicking on the 'add item' button the 'Enter the product details here' dialog appears a. The 'Product Name' text box requires manual entry instead of a pick list from the vendor specified in the PO 3. There is no option to select & delete items from the items section Enhancements:

Cannot Start the SD+
Hi All, I upgrade the SD+ from 6015 to 7000 but finally upgrading to the 7000 is failed at 99%. So, I Uninstall the 7000 and Restore Full Back of 6015. Now, Here is the problem. "Unable to start MySQL server on port 33335. Please free the port" This Error Message appeared and I understand that i need to end mysql-nt.exe from Task Manager. Ok, I start the service with run.bat but now this time... The error message appear like that "Failed to start the server. Please refer logs for more details." WHAT
Remove the expiry date of an Asset
Unfortunately I entered the "expiry date" rather than the "date of purchase" (not sure if this is the correct translation, I am working with the German translation of SD+) to an asset. Now, as the asset acutally doesn't have an expiry date, how can I remove this information? Kind of a workaround could be to set the date to a long time in the future, but that is not actually, what I want to do. Thanks for any help. Regards, Oliver

OpManager On Startup
Just wondering is there a way for OpManager not to open upon startup? I've removed it from the startup panel and didn't see anything in the registry. I am doing this because I am only a part-time Admin (due to the facility being small) and I share a computer with the night shift operations manager. Already installed OpManager on the server, but it was running rather sluggish (upgraded the memory by 512mb (now 1 gig), can't upgrade any more due to their budget). Domain Password Policy Requirements
Is there any way to change the Domain Password Policy Requirements when resetting a password? As of right now it says: The minimum password length is 0 characters. The new password is valid only for 42 days. The password complexity property is disabled. This is completely different than our AD settings. It should look more along the lines of: The minimum password length is 8 characters. The new password is valid only for 90 days. The password complexity property is enabled. This is very confusing
Attached Photo in "Reply"
Until SD+ 7017, when try to reply email to requester base on the request, it does not have any button to attached the photo directly in the email. For temporary use, we need to save it as attachment. It's very difficult for technicians to explain the reply in detail... Is it possible to add this function?

Hi Servicedesk Plus crashed and after restarting the server login fails when using Domain authentication. Hi, Can not add perf monitors to new devices. Can not add perf monitors to existing monitors. WMI/SNMP does not matter. Tried repair. Report Wizard forgets changed Display Columns order pre-Save
While Editing a Custom Report, if you change the order in Display Columns, then go to Next and beyond, then Prev your way back to "Step 1 Select columns to display" - or - if you Run Report then choose to Edit to continue desigining, your new order in Display Columns is forgotten and reverts to what you chose initially if creating anew, or the last time you ever Saved the report. To replicate, create a new Custom Report, on Select Columns To Display, select a couple columns to display, go to Next,
SLA Escalation Emails
I have my SLAs defined, and they seem to be working normally...each ticket that should be affected has a due date assigned to it. However, escalation emails don't seem to be showing up. Are there any best practices for setting up escalations? For an SLA that requires resolution in 1 business day, I have mine configured as: Escalate After - 0 days - 6 hours I expected to get an email 6 hours after the ticket was opened. Is this wrong?

In a user guide it is said to click Graphs and Thresholds under configure menu... I simply can't find this command My main purpose is to alert an e-mail on a threshold event. What about thresholds which are notified in Monitors are they able to generate e-mail?
Request: Customization of pages
Hi, Could you include the ability to customize the serverpage. It seems that only "Service Monitors" are shown, not the "Windows service monitors". This would be a nice feature as you directly would see the affected services. The ability to edit the view of "business views" would be very much appreciated. I have about 50 business views, and more are coming. I would however like to have only 10 of them visible, as we will try to involve helpdesk personel to opmanager. 50 or more pages is not effective

Hi, I cant seem to see any way to find what PO an asset was purchased on while looking at the asset. If I open a PO I can see the associated assets, but not in reverse. I must be missing something. Where is it? Thanks, Anton

Unable to log in after changing Domain Controllers
I know what the problem is but I can fix it. We've just decommisioned our old domain controllers in favour of a faster one...BUT we forgot that SDP probably looks at the old ones for authentication. Now hre comes the problem.....we gave teh default administrator/administrator account technition status....meaning we can't do anything on our accounts without the old Domain Controllers coming back online (something we can't do). Is there a way into the system to change some settings OR giving the administrator
RPC Server error while windows domain scan
Hi, Our orgnization has bought the licence for SD+ and I am trying to add windows IT assets in SD+ by doing 'Admin\Asset Management \Windows Domain Scan'. Here i provided the required domain admin login credentials for scanning domain. But here SD+ is able to scan half of the workstations successfuly but giving error 'Connection to RPC server in the workstation failed.' for other workstations. What could be the reason when all the machines are from same domain and having same policies implemented
Issue with Purchase Order in SD+ 7017
I have updated SD+ 7015 to version 7017 (windows 2003 and MS-SQL 2005). I entered into the following problem with the purchase orders: When I create a new PO, I enter the product details like the price (in Europe we use euro �) f.e. 1234. After saving it shows up in the purchase order like this: 1.23400 When entering the quantity f.e. 1 , the amount displays as 1234.00 Of course all existing PO's are completely wrong because of the error above. Hi all, I have a problem concerning the monitoring of my custom OIDs. In fact, I have a "multiple" oid and I request the state of my ports, it sends me back the state of my 4 ports like on this picture. For example, for the .0 oid, the value is 1 and it means the device is down, the value 5 means that the device is unknown... I would like to monitor these 4 ports
REPORTS
Many of the canned reports are great in the system. The only issue I have come across (and maybe someone knows how to get around it) is when I modify a report the system doesn't allow me to do a 'Save As' instead of a Save. Could someone let me know if there is a way to take a canned report, modify it and then save it with another name but still be able to keep the original report unmodified (essentially a Save As). Hello, I'm from Poland and I'd love to use EventLog Analyzer on polish language version of Windows. GUI is not the problem - but logs are. EventLog Analyzer during log import looses/hides or else every message part following a polish specific letter. Is there any solution apart from reinstalling all my windows to ENG? best regards

Custom Query Report
Hi Team, I am wanting to get a couple of different reports out of SD+. Background - we prefix all Subject lines in all requests with different codes to enable a quick way to identify the type of call. I would like 1 report that can give me the list of requests that DO NOT have the prefixes in the subject. I would also like a report that will give me the total number of requests by dept for the month of each type based on the prefix in the subject line. Anybody have any ideas on how to do this? Thanks.

Hi guy, We are using OpManager 7 and its working fine. Only problem is since last month 19, availability data is not being saved to OpManager. Delegation based on department or similar AD attributes
Hi, We have around 5000 users. Unfortunately due to AD container creation restriction we have all the user put in one container. (Due to Global restrictions) We cannot create additional containers to delegate efficiently. �Please find my below possible solution and kindly advise us if this is something that we can achieve from your product� We can use one of the active directory fields as our common department number allocation. E.g. Department = H1234-XX while a different department can be H222-XX.
