Unable to delete request (1000 merged)
Hi, I have a request I am unable to delete - response is simply "Delete failed" This request was one of the "autoresponders creating thousands of tickets" types. Someone eventually figured out how to add to the spam rules (I was on holiday) to stop new requests, but the remaining requests have all been merged into one. I'm presuming I need a SQL script to accomplish this (MSSQL 2005). Thanks in advance. Dean
The application manager doesn't start up

Hi I'm testing an Application Manager 8.3 for proposing monitoring tool to customer. I notice that I can specify server's process to monitor, but I need to select process using process ID. Because there are many processes that be run with the same command and I just want to monitor a few processes that take huge resource. About Alert Mail Template
Dear Support Finally we have purchased Application Manager, it is great. But we need some customize on the Alert Mail Template. Since at each of the alert mail , there is "Reported By : Applications Manager" at the bottom right hand corner. Where the "Applications Manager" is a link to the AM Login page. Since we don't want the others to know such page except the Senior System Admin. It there any way to customize the alert mail template ? just like remove the "Reported By : Applications Manager"
Technician data issue
When I changed the email address of one of our technicians and click save it holds the change. After a period of time the email address resets itself back the the incorrect email account. I have Service Desk running backups every night. It would seem as thought the backup is causing the reversion. Please advise

Asset Tracking furniture
Our Finance department wants to start using ServiceDesk to track building furniture. Before I commit to them, I wanted to confirm the licensing schema of ServiceDesk. We have a 1250 node license. Cannot Delete PO
I cannot delete a closed PO even though the assets have been deleted that were associated with that PO. I continually receive a "Purchase Order is being used by another module. Hence cannot delete it." error message.
Re-Open button on closed calls
Under the current version of ServiceDesk Plus, Requestors do not have the ability to easily Re-Open closed calls. The only known way is to send an email to the Helpdesk and include the job number of the closed call in the subject line. We have the need for the users (Requestors) whom the job was opened by to be able to re-open a call via SDP.

Disabling alerts, without disabling monitoring
HI Guys, One of our servers went down and as the rules were set, we were getting notified. And the way it is set is it keeps sending notifications after polling the device to see if it's still down. My question is, how do I disable the notifications once we know the server is down, but still monitor the downtime for reporting purposes? In my situation, I got rid of the alerts but I also unmanaged the device, so when it came time to see the downtime report, it only reported the device being down for
Report needed
I need some help creating a custom report. We are looking at our work hours being changed and we need to be able to justify if we will or not, so we need to see any requests from 12 am to 8 am, 8 am to 5 pm and 5 pm to 12 am seperated. It doesn't have to be much, just seperated into 3 fields displaying this, and a pie chart for the visually assisted that all companies have. This can be Crystal (8 or 11) or built in tools, we have both available.
Automatic initial response for letters without request ID
We want service desk to be able to send automatic answer to all senders and recipients of any email message which doesn't have Service Desk's request ID in it's subject. As a result each recipient wil have second copy of the letter with header containing request ID. We will answer to this secondary message. VMWare ESX 3.5 Monitoring
I added a VMWare ESX 3.5 server to OpManager for monitoring, but I cannot access that server page. I get the message "Vmware Monitoring Add On Feature is not licensed." I don't have the VMWare license for OpManager and would like to remove this server. I can't seem to find a way to do that.

Login Details - Use the below credential for the device
hi, I used an Active Directory account setting up some devices and used the setting "Use the below credential for the device". Now I can't locate the server that I setup with the AD account and it keeps locking the account. Is there a way I can easily file what devices are using what accounts? The account is not setup in Global Parameters or it has been deleted from there! thanks, Lerwick
SQL report for workstation audit history.
Hello. We have ServiceDesk running against a MSSQL backend. There is a bug where the audit reporting does not work against MSSQL. Is there a way that I can get this information through a Custom Query Report? I am looking to report all changes (history) for a month against every workstation. Bulk User Change via csv Import
Hello, Im testing the bulk users change method using the bulk csv import option. Ive tried several different methods & fields but I cant seem to get the ad full name field to update. As per pic attached the name has changed in the Last Name field & the display name field but it doesnt want to change the full name bit for some reason. Ive tried using the cn, canonical name & distinghuished name fields & they dont seem to help. Can someone please advise if I need to add another field to my csv file

Very Urgent Problem
I've tried to update my service desk 7015 to 7019, like I've updated before other versions, but this time the update gave me an error, and after that error I never more could start service desk service. So as I've a full backup from my database I decided to made a clean installation of the service desk 7019. Now I have the 7019 installed and working but I couldn't import my backup. MS SQL server FQDN change
We have just migrated our network to a new AD domain structure. This means that the FQDN of the MS SQL server has changed. How do I modify OpManager to point to sqlserver.newdomain.com from sqlserver.olddomain.com. I tried using DBConfiguration.bat but it only reports that a database already exists. I've temporarily worked round the problem by creating an A record in olddomain.com for sqlserver. Any help would be appreciated as olddomain.com is to be retired soon.
Netflow Analyzer Data Interpretation
Hello, I am new to Netflow and am trying to understand it better. What I have done is selected on Hourly Report, and am getting live feeds from the routers. I get a graph, and corresponding table showing data usage in GB, and also on selecting any particular interface, I get top speeds, hosts, conversations, etc. This is where my confusion lies. I see that the data shown immediately under the graph is refreshed every minute. 1. Can you please let me know how often is this graph refreshing itself

Serious problems with opmanager 7201 "unable to fetch m
Hi I have run into some big problems with our opmanager system. When i click a device I just get the following message �Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object : computername.domain�. I have updated our software to the latest version, i also patched the software with the 7201 patch wich should solve this issue. I have tried to run repairDB.bat without results. Is there any way for me to get our monitoring system up and running again? Please assist me in this issue. Best regards.
7019 Hotfix - Unable to close change - Impact required
Appears to be an issue with build 7019 and closing changes. Our rules require IMPACT to be entered. Correctly when it isn't populated you can't close and it advsies you. However with 7019 we don't appear to be able to close any change even when the impact is completed, it stil reports that IMPACT is required. The only workaround is to take out IMPACT as a required field. Can this be resolved directly please. Regards, Andy
Separate "PO" from "REQUISITION"
Calling everything in the process a "Purchase Order" is very confusing. There is a requisition from the user, and that should be in the drop down list. The system could then convert requisitions to PO's, but having the workflow start with creating a PO is not ideal.
Health is critical - 1. System error occured
So i just installed the demo version, pointed it at one of my ERP servers, and immediately I get Health is critical. Root Cause : 1. System error occurred With no other information, except that all other monitoring on the server (backgound,buffer, dialogue, etc) all report normally. Email settings are not saved
I am using ManageEngine App Manager 8 for evaluation purpose. I am trying to configure mail server via Admin > Configure Mail Server option. I have a local SMTP server running @ port 25 and it does not need authentication. I uncheck "SMTP Server Requires Authentication" and save, the save actually does not happen. The email setting page still has requires authentication and has some crap for user name and password. The send email fails because the authentication credential is not needed by the mail
