notify a technician for changes in a request

Is there any way a technician can be notified when a requester or any user has replied to a request taht has been assigned to him?? sometimes, the technician sents email from the helpdesk asking for more information about the request and probably some user or his manager would reply to the mail but the technician is not aware of it until he opens up the request and checks in conversation. Is there a way we can alert the technician that a conversation has been appended to the request??
