Question monitor in WMI mode
Hi. Some questions about monitor a windows server in a wmi mode. If i want to monitor a server throw the lan or wan is necessary to have the service WMI Performance Adapter UP and Started? And also the service COM+ System Application, and DCOM server launcher? What happens if my remote server which i want to monitor doesn't have them? Thanks S. Rebels

Downtime Scheduler Fails with URL Monitors?
I have the Downtime Scheduler setup to Unmanaged Services for our nightly maintenance and that is working fine. However, I have URL monitors poling our web servers and their associated databases for a simple report. I need to add these tot eh Downtime Scheduler, but when I did OpManager unmanaged them on que, but did not release them with the maintenance time was finished? This caused them to be off line way longer than expected and caused some headaches! What is the process for scheduling downtime

Dear support, in this preconfigured profile there is an option says Also send an alert when no flow is received for 15 minutes. is there any way to reduce these 15 minutes to 3 minutes only.

Unable to select product in PO section after 7019 applied
We have just applied 7019 to SD (was 7018) and now in the PO section when we select a vendor (ie. Dell) we are not shown any associated products and there are non in the drop down selections. Please advise as this make the PO section non-functional.. Enclosed is the error we get when in the PO module

I need to be able to run a report that lists scanned software and what workstations it is installed on. I want to specify which workstations I want in the report. If I specify four workstations for instance, I need a report that says wht software is installed on those four stations in the following format: Software Adobe Reader WS1, WS2, WS3, WS4 Acrobat Standard WS2, WS4 and so on. pass-through authencation
when I enable pass-through authencation it still requires a username and password. If pass-through authencation is enabled when I goto the servicedesk it has a pop-up (relam logon screen) that asks for username and password.

I have 3 cisco ASA firewall which are monitored for configuration changes by Device Expert. Real time change detection working fine when the change is made through CLI but when any body make a configuration change on these firewalls using ASDM Device Expert doesn't detect the change in real time. please advice

Hi, Just wondering if there is anyway that you can see a record of what emails have been sent for a purchase order. For example, we would like to be able to see the email, or at least that an email has been sent to the vendor for a purchase order, so that we do not send it more then once. How to create a "time spent on the Internet" repor
I am currently evaluating FA v5. I have a Fortinet Fortigate 100 firewall appliance. Everything is going well so far but I am trying to figure out how to create a report that will show how much time users spend on the Internet. It seems the information is there as the Fortinet has a log field of "duration" that it populates. But my attempt to add this to a report by user gave me statistics in terms of days spent on the Internet when requested for only the previous day. Guidance on how to do this,
Mysqldump and live backups
I notice how just about everything says on your documentation to not do live backups. But mysql comes with its own backup tool called mysqldump. This tool isn't included with ELA but I did see where you are using it for other products, like ops manager. I would really like to not have to shutdown the ela server just to get a DB backup. Every other mysql server I manage you can also use mysqldump to perform a backup. So is there a valid reason we can't use it for ela?

Hi all, We have recently discovered an irregularity between the 30day and 90day reports. As attached please see the reports for the past 30days and the past 90days. backup & uninstall of service packs is not working
Hi, I have the newest sd plus version installed but had some problems while changing from mysql to mssql. now the server is running fine (back on mysql) but I can't make backups or uninstall the last updates (cause I only have a backup for an older version). How do you record and report on Downtime???

Hy, We're in SD7 Build Number : 7018 but we have migrated from SD6. Formerly with the SD6 version we used to manage assets like this : Asset ( desktop, screen, laptop,..) was associated to a Workstation, and the Worstation was associated to a User or a Service. During the migration I follow the recommendations like renaming desktops and laptops,etc ... The result of the migration succeeded quite good. But now when I run some Worstation's Reports I realise that we have some duplicated worstation.
Tomcat monitoring - no data
Hi, I tried adding a new tomcat monitor. The tomcat server version is 4 and I installed the agent as instructed. When I browse to /adventnet/DataServlet on the server I can see a lot of data. Although the monitor was added successfully, no data appears on the monitor and it's health state remains gray. Please instruct me on what can I do to solve/debug this. Thanks, Adi.
How to add an APC UPS for dummies?
I swear, I must be dumb, because I have searched and read and read, and none of the previous posts help me. Can you give a dummies guide to adding an APC UPS in Opmanager 7? It's a SmartUPS 2200 RM. It is connected to a server via USB, and that alone. I have SNMP enabled in the APC console. Please give me the dumbed down steps. I see responses like, "Open up mib broswer and add it". Easier said than done. I know very little about SNMP, and am new to OpManager, we just bought it.
