Poor performance and problem with java.exe
Hello I have a problem to get OpManager to run stable. First, the performance is at all times poor. Meaning: it takes long to change the view in the browser window. Second, after a week or so java.exe climbs to 100 % CPU. At this time nothing works, no alarms, no browser connection etc. I need to get this fixed asap, as a monitoring system that needs another monitoring system that checks if it is running is not really appropriate :-) Third: If someone has an easy description on how to get everything

Database corrupting with large volume firewall logs?
Hi, I currently import large volumes of firewall logs into the Firewall Analyzer via the "remote files" option. We currently have several firewalls' worth of logs in the analyzer. The size of the database is currently at about 190GB. My concern is that every now and then, when I import log files, and for whatever reason it corrupts the database because there is too much data to import in one batch, is that I suspect that the data for the other firewalls gets corrupted. We have Firewall Analyzer build 5000 March_07. For the past few days the FA has been reporting 1.5TB of outbound traffic per day from a server on a half duplex 10MB connection. CPU Utilisation shows 0% for monitoring AIX servers using CL
Hi I am using OPManager 7 to monitor my AIX servers. The CPU utilisation always show 0%. I am using CLI (telnet) to monitor the server and connection to AIX server is happening correctly. I am also attaching the hostresource.xml file for review. Can you please let me know what configuration I need to make for CPU utilisation to show correct data? :roll:

It there a way to apply a template based on a business rule? For example we have a category named User Administration which has a sub category of New user. I would like to apply a business rule that applies a new user template which has several tasks such as AD setup, Outlook setup and Meditech (our HCIS) setup. URL Sequence recorder
I am having an issue saving records URL sequence monitors. I do not get errors when I click on save, enter the apps manager servername and port along with the credentials. The monitor just does not show up in the web client. Is there a log somewhere that will show me a description on why it wouldnt save? Isaac Kim
Adding a Device - ERROR
I added a device to a category in OPManager. OPManager said that the device was added successfully to the category. When I go to access the device it is already labeled but has an error message "Status Message Unable to find the object : 10.8.19.X" I cannot delete this device or re-add it because it says that it already exists. I need HELP with this. Thank you!
Custom Templates - Wierd Issue
I created a custom template as a test. Named it appropriately "Test ....". as with all the other custom templates I have made they are listed under the CUSTOM button under templates. For some reason this particular one is not listed under CUSTOM anymore and it is under ALL, like it is a regular Template. How do I delete the templates that are already there? Or better yet, how did a template I made ( a custom one ) go from being a custom one to a regular one???? Anyone have this happen?

html format of desc field
I generated a query from the custom reports section and I'm dropping that into report services to report on- One thing I notice is all the html formatting is displayed instead of just the description portion in the description field, is it possible to remove that? Or is there a sql formatting function or report services function someone has used to handle that? Thanks! E
Importing Assets does not populate the Asset Location Field
Hello I have reported this problem several months back. We have performed our extensive asset project and all data is now in .csv format. When testing the importing before the actual import takes place we find that the location field cannot be populated. All other fields seem to accept the data that we import. This is a problem as there is no point in having assets on the system if we don't know where they are located. I have had communication with your support who states that this is indeed a problem
Oracle Monitor
I'm trying to setup a monitor for Oracle Database. My Oracle server lives in a Red Hat Cluster, and it uses the IP 172.16.99.5, WHICH is a secondary IP in the server that hosts it. It needs to be a secondary IP, since Oracle can/will be migrated to another server in a failover scenario. When I try to add Oracle to AppManager, it fails with the following message: "Unable to get the Interface details.The IPAddress of the given system is 172.16.99.5.The IP Address returned by the SnmpAgent is 192.168.1.2

Hello, I have a strange problem. I was in holiday for two weeks, befor OPManager worked. Now, when I try to add a New Device, I just get a blank screen. Also there are no monitoring data, alarms or any new data. I think there is maybe somethin wrong with the DB, but the local RepairDB script is doing nothing. Hello, We have configured Opmanager to check some Url, and send mail when the response time is over that is configured. Opmanager send us the alarms, but don't send the clear of this alarms (when the response time is back to normal). Cannot add and cost centers
When I try to add a cost center I get an error.I have an example in a screen capture. no matter what I put in the required fields I get the same error. It tells me the cost center already exists.
Dell PowerConnect 2724 and RMON
I have the above Switch and although I can add the device in to OpManager, I cannot then "Zoom In" to the switch ports etc. Is there any way I can extract RMON stats from my switch? I can access the stats from a web-gui on the switch, which is no good to me. Thanks, Adrian.
SSH usage with private keys
Hi, I wanted to get a connection from AM8 to my Linux platform via private keys. My openssh is configured with protocol v2 and my public key is deployed. In AM8, I put the private key in the dedicated box available when you create a script monitor. connecting to mysql for SDP on Linux

Watchguard X55e logging
Hi, does firewall analyzer support Watchguard X55e with 8.6 firmware? I have one I which I want to use with FA in order to determine the bandwidth use of the line there. I've set the syslog logging setting in the watchguard to the ip of the FA server, but FA just reports that no devices are sending it logs. Is this workable ? Olly

Hi, is there a tool in Netflow Analyzer 7 to check the state of the collection database? The reason I ask is the other day I had cause to move the PC it's running on (it was shutdown correctly). Upon restart the Netflow Analyzer service restarted, but the web browser took a long time to start, and when started it displayed no data, nor was it collecting flows.
