Hi Guys I would like to know if is possible to migrate the MySql database to MSSQL 2005 in new version of OpManager... (version 8) The process of migration is the same than older version? (version 7) Thanks advice

I would like to create footer for every notification being sent to requester. The footer contains technician name, phone number and our company logo. The problem is that I cannot embed the company logo! The only possibility is to insert a web link but this function seems to be broken. Even if it worked, I do not want to insert a link, because spam filters will throw my mail away. I want to embed a image like MS Outlook does. Is it possible? Thanks, Jerry
VOIP eating away revenue?
VOIP is good and I make heavy use of it and save a lot on my national/international calls. I believe that VOIP only benefit consumer and is indirectly eating business of all telecom carrier thereby dent telecom business. Do we see Telecom providers (wireless/wireline) still thrive as did in late 90s and early 2000 while VOIP is penetrating and choking most of the networks.
OpUtils 5.6 AD Question
I can't find too much documentation on how AD integration functions with OpUtils. How does it check whether or not a device is in AD? What credentials does the account require to check the domain controller? I configured OpUtils to check AD but I have some devices on a subnet that show as in AD and others that don't. I can see no difference between the devices that show up and the devices that don't.

Notification Rules questions
Hello, There is a option to notify the technicans in all new requests, but I want to know if is there a way to make this notifications be sent to some esecify users, like my director... manager... and others without be a technican. Other question is, is there a way to link the requesters to a group, so when we receive a new request by the "user" or domain e-mail "@companyA.com", it need be followed to specify users, like "the manager account of the company A", and not to all technicans... its possible?

In the release notes for the 7.6 roadmap, it mentions: �Business Rule Enhancements ◦Option to send mail when a rule matches. Will this include support for the change module? Currently business rules only work for requests, which is a big problem for us. Thanks

A contact was entered against an incorrect account, when we tried to change its account get the following error. Another contact with same email Id exist Have also tried deleting the contact and re-entering , but still get the same error. Thanks
Can't seem to import requesters from AD, using Server 2008..
Hello, I have used ServiceDesk Plus for a few years now at two different companies running Windows Server 2003 domains. Now I am trying to run this program with a Windows Server 2008 domain and cannot seem to import any requesters. It has been a while since I set this up so maybe I am just missing something. I can import computers from the domain. I'm confused. Can someone please provide me with some assistance? Thanks in advance! :?:
Solutions not showing
Hello, We try to show some solutions in the customer portal. I checked "Publish this solution in Self-Service Portal also" but when I login as a customer the solution is not available. What could be the problem here? ps: I think it might be smart to make account only see solutions from within certain topics (so you can publish certain solutions only to certain customers)

I am running that latest/newest OM 8 in a mixed environment of mostly Linux servers and some Windows servers. I can ssh as root from a shell on the host running OM, to any other monitored server. However, if I use the same root credentials for an ssh connection test in OM, it always fails? Any suggestions?
interface command on physical interface or logical?
I have an emetro connection terminated to one physical port on my core switch. However I also have it on a separate VLAN with a layer 3 vlan interface. I want to collect stats from this guy here. Would I apply the "ip route-cache flow" command on that VLAN interface or on the actual physical gigabit port of the connection?

ASSET - Adding a workstation - Deletes another
I did a domain scan and I noticed that there were about 10 PC's out of 100 that wasn't added. So as I was adding them one by one I noticed that when I would add one, it would randomly delete another Workstation in the list. I tried this 4-5 times and it did it every time. I restarted the Service Desk server and tried again and it did the same thing. Has anyone seen this? Is there a solution?

Unable to add devices
Hello guys, I wonder if anyone of have faced this issue earlier... I have recently bought a license of OpManager 8.0 Premium for 300 clients. When i try to add a single device, it says the device added successfully. But when i search for the device, i find nothing. When I discover the entire range of my network, it displays most of the machines as Unknown devices. It also displays some Servers in the list, but it doesn't add any of the servers to the database. It just adds the unknown devices. I
Deleted Device but still says Device exists when readding
I added a device at 192.168.1.240. I then deleted it. Later I needed to add it again. When I do it tells me that the device already exists. The device is not found if you do a search for device. The device does not show up on the map either. Any ideas how to remove it from the database so I can add it again?
Roadmap - who, what, where, when
I've seen many responses from tech support that they will or have all ready added a request for a feature to the "roadmap". Where is this "roadmap" and why isn't it posted? If it is then make it easier to find. I would like a forum called,"Roadmap" created. This forum should only allow tech support staff to post (topic) entries listing the features/functionalities that have made it on the roadmap along with when can it be expected to be released or any other tidbit of info that might be beneficial.
Can ServiceDesk Plus 7.5 listen on port 443 securely
It appears that the port can be set to any port from 0 to 65536, but does it support SSL? if we set to the port to 443, I want to make sure that some SSL engine is running. If not, is there a recommened way to put SD Plus 7.5 behind a firewall with port mappings? Thanks, AT
Change Management - Minor Gripe
Two minor gripes about the change management module: 1) There is no way to require fields be filled out when the change is submitted. Since email notification is sent immediately after the change is created, many changes are light on details. Is this getting changed in 8.0? 2) The "standard" change type - I understand why it's locked, but why can't I change the color or the name? I'd like to put numbers in front of the types to indicate severity, but I can't. (Can I set this in the database manaully?)
Can Not get Monitor to Attach to WebSphere MQ

Is the Silent Scan feature from AE (ie the vbs file) being ported to SD+? If not can i use AE 5 to do the silent scan and then export / import into SD+? Would this cost me extra in licence fees? Could someone please help with the best way to do an 'agent' scan into SD+ Many Thanks Alex
