Editing a request once it has been created.
When I have created a request and I want to change the contact name. I edit it and click save. The changes are not saved. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks LJ

Unable to install opManager as a linux service.
I am using Ubuntu 8.04.2. I tried following these instructions: http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=1825 I reached step number 4 to find that I got the error: chkconfig: command not found. I tried to search how to download that , and found that you could do it using some rpm command. But when I tried using rpm command, it said : rpm: command not found. If we can measure the SLA base on the Group it will be good . In our enviroment all request or incident are escalated to group and if we can have the group as one of the criteria in the drop down list in the SLA rules will be good Thanks Kanten

Migrate from Windows to Linux
I have a Opmanager server running on Windows. I would like to migrate this server to Opmanager for Linux. What is the best way to do this? I already tried to use BackupDB.bat on Windows en restore the backup file on Linux, but Opmanager won't start any more after this.
Why isn't mode set to "Self Service" when a user submits his own request?
When users login and submit their own request, the mode does not automatically set to "Self Service". However, emailed requests created by the system automatically set the mode to "Email". Is this a bug, an oversight or by design? I haven't upgraded to 7.6 yet (still running 7514), so perhaps this has changed...?
Some modules not working
We recentely updated to build 8025 version. Now we are facing issues like we can't see interfaces module when we go to switch. However i when go to 'Infrastructure views' and from there i try to view switches i can see which intefaces are having error etc. What issue it can be? Prateek

Disable Downtime Summary Report in App Manager Free Edition
A little while ago I installed App Manager 9. During the 30 day trial period, I enabled the Downtime Summary Report. The 30 day trial period has long since passed, and now I can no longer access the section where I enable/disable the report. I wish to disable the report - how can I do this given that access to the "Enable Reports" section is not allowed in the Free Edition. Cheers, Paul

I am currently running two ManageEngine products - ServiceDesk+ and FacilitesDesk. In the past year, I have NEVER had a successful upgrade for either product. I have had to contact MangeEngine every time I updated either product and in some cases had to send them my databases and wait for them to upgrade them so they could be installed with the latest version. I was wondering if this is a normal experience for other ManageEngine software users? Thanks!
"Top XXX" Reports Question
I'm recently new to Firewall Analyzer 6 and did a few searches on this forum and in the documentation without much success... Right now, any "Top xxx" report I view doesn't really show the Top 5/10/etc counts. It just shows all of them. For example, I look at the "Top Hosts - Sent" report and it lists all of the hosts in apparently random order. Once I click the View All link and then sort by the number of Hits, then it lists the true Top 25 Hosts - Sent. Am I missing a configuration somewhere?

Hi, Nice SP, installation went well and all seem great, I tried the file monitor and got some weird behaviors. There is a little glitch on the "Test Monitor" function. If the monitored file does not exist, there is a javascript error that appears, line 7452, char 3, error is "Object Required". I know the file does not exists, but I expected the same popup with a red "File does not exists" instead of a javascript error :) As I wrote this message, I made some check, and a really weird thing happens...

Workstation scan schedule to twice a day
We are finding that the "once a day" workstation scan schedule is not sufficient for our organization. It would be great if we could schedule two scans in a day; once in the morning and once in the evening. However, the ability to to do 2 scans at anytime in the day would be very beneficial. Email User Creation
Our organization has an Active Directory that we are part of, and we mainly support the users within one OU. Due to that reason we only import our users from that OU into service desk. We do support a few other users in different locations in the directory, and they usually email their request in. When the user emails their request into SDP the software creates a “local” account for the user if they do not have one. My question is can we have SDP search through AD before it creates the “local”

Re-branding lost after upgrade
Last night, I upgraded our production server from 7514 to 7602. In doing so, it appears we've lost our re-branding. Please let me know what file(s) I need to modify in order for the Browser Task Bar ID to be changed from "ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus" to "My Company Name". I have already edited the settings for the login page (changed login.jsp to index.htm), and the login page is back to our design... I just need to get the re-branding portion fixed. Thanks!
