Support Ref # 4238770 Trying to get traps processing from a Netapp Filer and IBM DS3400 storage array in Opmanager 8051 (MSSQL) running on a Windows 2008 server, a colleague of mine has hit this problem. If the SNMP trap service is not running, you are unable to use SNMP to monitor any servers - authentication fails. DesktopCentralAgent installation in silent mode
hello, sorry for my bad English, I want to install the agent in silent mode: with the command "...\directsetup\DesktopCentralAgent.msi /qn" it works for the first part but then I have the window "connection setting for server communication" with DCServername, DCServerport and DCServerip and after the window: "Proxy setting". What orders are to be added to deploy the agent completely silent. Thank you.
Cisco 831 misses sending OUTBOUND flow?
Hi, I am using NFA v8 (build 8000) and monitoring 10 interfaces. Strangely I have a Cisco 831 router (provided by service provider) which always send only INBOUND flows without the OUTBOUND. I can confirm this from my ME NFA console as well as from Solarwinds realtime NFA. Can you pls advise if there is known issues with this Cisco 831? Setup problems with pop email account
HI I am having a problem getting emails from a pop account. Sending via the same account works fine. The issue occours when I fill the pop details in on the mail server setting page and press save I get the following message. FAILURE : Email Settings saved successfully. But error occured while trying to check connection with mail server - Problem connecting to mailbox. Hello, I have some requester with a "�" in the name. They can choose their name in the request, but when they click add request ServiceDesk says "requester doesn't exist". Please fix it.
Used disk space difference over time
Hi In order to provide Capacity Planning info it would be nice to have a "growth" report, be it in MB, GB or % for each partition on each server so I can estimate when drives are liekly to fill up. Application Manager Url POST parameter changes !
Hi , We are using Application Manager 9 Build 9110. M trying to monitor a URL having Post parameter . When I pass the POST parameter from AppManager , it gets appended by ":" when it hits the url site resulting in "invalid parameter" error . Pls help .
Associating a Group to a Site
I feel like this should be an easy answer, but I've had trouble finding it. When editing a Request, you can choose a "site." Problem is, if I choose a specific site, I can't choose a group. We are trialing you netflow analyzer and have setup netflow with all of the recommended settings on two of our edge routers that have gigabit connections to the internet. Even though these routers are moving on average over 100MB to 660MB of traffic the analyzer is reporting average speeds of 40 and 20 Kbps respectively. It occasionally happens that I have connections on my network that don't transmit a lot of volume, but they transmit a huge amount of tiny packets, chewing up CPU on my routers. It would be nice if Netflow Analyzer had a report that could show source/destination information for IN/OUT flows sorted by number of packets, not just volume. As it stands when I have an issue, I have to configure flow top-talkers on the affected router(s) and sort by packets to find these, but this doesn't show me anything

What does "Flows Rcvd:" means in Netflow Analyzer? Is it flows rcvd in last 10 mins, last hour etc.? This value gets reset to zero after sometime on the central server but its not zero on the collectors, is it a bug?

Adding two domains
Hello, I'm testing ADSelfserver plus and I have problem adding a second domain. I can add the first one .... ex : test.com Then I try to add the second one : test-dev.com I have no error message as if it was added successfully but it's not showing anywhere. If I try to add it again, I have a message saying that the domain is already added (so it's been added but not showing up). Now....if I delete the first added domain (in this case test.com), then test-dev.com appears ! If I add test-dev.com
How to handle Software Assurance in Software licensing
How do people handle software assurance in the software licensing part of asset module? Ive just realised that i have both licenses with SA and licenses without. I can see this may cause much pain in the future, Especially when you use SA to upgrade and deploy a newer version of an application. MPLS Aware Netflow - traffic stats are too high.
Hello, I am running a trial of prof edition v8.0. I have enabled flow caching and export on a Cisco 7206 PE router. My config is below. My traffic stats are as much as x10 too great on the analyser. Any suggestions? There are no esp or gre tunnels terminating on the device. The analyser has correctly identifdied the interfaces as Fast Ethernet. Is it possible to parse incoming email Subject Headers, and then open or not-open tickets based on Header information. For eg, if the Subject Header contains a ticket number that already exists in the system but from an email ID that is not related to that ticket, then do not open a new ticket.
No report for CPU Speed and RAM
I try this application. There is no report for CPU Speed and RAM. I must enter each workstation item to monitor cpu speed. I want to monitor current computer baseline of all computer. Hi, When a user submits a request and pastes a screenshot into the email request, the screenshot appears fine in Helpdesk and displays properly. When the notification email is sent out to the technician to inform them that a new request has been created, the screenshot doesnt disply, and a red cross appears in the top left corner of the frame of the image. Error scanning asset - Workstation refers another Object
When manually scanning an asset I get the following error. FAILURE :One of the attribute of the Workstation refers another Object which does not exist. Hence cannot add this workstation I have come across this post, but it is not specific to SD+: http://forums.manageengine.com/?ftid=49000002688581 Other assets are scanning in ok. Migration of Standalone ELA to Managed ELA server
Hi, I have preformed the migration of our Standalone ELA Server to a managed Server, all went smooth. I have also been able to set this Server up under the Admin Server as a Managed box. The question i have is that i want to setup the communication between the two over HTTPS rather then HTTP. Can you advise what i need to change on the Managed Server. I believe i only need to edit the managed server properies on the Admin box to change it to Https, for that side. Cheers, RH

Netflow Analyzer 8 Problem - Operator has no network snapshot or widgets
Hey, I have created a couple of users with operator privileges however the accounts get no network snapshot or ability to create dashboards. There are also no widgets available. The admin accounts seem to work fine. Am I missing something here but should all users get at least the network snapshot dashboard? Thanks

Why are there two priority settings for Business Unit and Global?
Hi, I have 4 priorities (Low, Midium, High, Test) set in Global settings. I also have 2 priorities (Normal, Urgent) set in Business Unit settings. It seems like Global priority setting does not affect Business Unit setting at all. So, what is the purpose of Global priority setting? I thought it would be good if you want to stadardize priority through your entire system, you can enable Global priority setting. Otherwise, use own priority setting in each business unit. Thanks
