Adding Netapp 6040
Hello, Using Opmgr 8720. When adding a custom device template with custom monitors, how do you get the graphs to light up? Please see attached image, I am trying to add a Netapp FAS 6040 and I get cpu utilization, but the graph does not work. How do you get the icon to change to a custom png file uploaded to the device images directory? I need to monitor disk space as well. Does anyone have a template for Netapp? Thanks!
SNMP - Cisco and Windows OID Problems
Hey guys. My SNMP traps are returning just OID numbers and not "user readable" info. I've made sure to load all of the MIBs that I think I need in the "mibsToBeLoaded" file and I've restarted the OpManager service numerous times. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Loading the MIB's in the right order? Some examples: Windows returns "AuthenticationFailure : .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.2" instead of readable txt. Cisco 3750 returns "AuthenticationFailure : .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.5.0" instead of readable

Hi, I updated my version of ServiceDesk Plus to the version 7608. But I noticed two things : some of my reports programmed have gone and I can't export my reports in XLS format (other formats works). The pdf document attached is the error generated by the Help Desk. Any Ideas ? Regards Bast

Summar on device after scheduled scan is not showing
Hi Team We are having some problem in a client sytem - CIMB AVIVA. When we try to do a scheduled scan by 1 AM at night, the device is scanned but the summary is not shown (even after we select to show the summary) and the Asset is not in shown in successfully scanned assets as well. How to select a single instance from an oid ?
I tried to set up monitors for a single instance from an OID which is a table. But the select oid function under Device Template does not allow me to select an instance under the OID. e.g. I want to select only one instance from .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.6.2.1.4 (Brocade SAN switch swFCPortOpStatus) , say .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.6.2.1.4.1 instead of all instances from this OID. Any one has any idea?
Partial Import of the users from AD
HI, I am able to import the users from AD but the number of requesters imported are not matching with the number that is shown in Admin->Requesters tab. Eg: When i import the users from AD, the output shows that it has imported 1400 users whereas when i go check the Admin-Requesters page it shows only 700 odd users. Credential Details - Apply Global Parameters WMI FAILED
Hello, Using Opmgr 8720. I have added a Windows 2003 Server running SQL 2008. When I choose to use "Apply Global Parameters" and choose the correct AD login and "Test Credential", I get DENIED. When I use the exact same login information (domainuame and pw) under "Use the below credential for the device" and choose "Test Credential", I get PASSED. I can then monitor the CPU, DISK and RAM, but am unable to monitor SQL using for latter. Please advise. I have not installed 8721 because it caused

We would like to be able to link to multiple email addresses and just assign the emails to a site or group based on the email address. This would be a nice feature if as in our situation we have multiple email addresses that have been setup for years for different issues but we want to manage everything in the tool. We want to track everything in one tool without confusing the users based on the email address responses come from.

iPhone Safari Crashes
Whenever I try to log into Service Desk from my iPhone, the Safari App shuts down. I have tried rebooting the device, clearing the history and cache, none of which seems to work. I have updated to the latest version of Service Desk and this still made no difference. Switching from ServiceDesk authentication to Active directory authentication
We have established users with ServiceDesk authentication enabled. When we change the configuration to use the Active Directory authentication we can log in but no requests are shown. Seems to be no data. Attached is a picture of the entry page when I login using ServiceDesk authentication and another image when I use Active directory authentication. Seems when authenticating under AD I lose my admin rights and all request visibility.
Category Configuration Wizard
When modifying the categories and sub categories within the configuration wizard when you select "Tree View" it would be nice either to be able to resize it so we could print it off to look at it offline or if you could have a "Print Tree View" selection so it would make it easier to organize all of our categories and sub categories. If you run queries with filter "this quarter" or "this month" it would be fine to have the possibility to run them in an automatice monthly job on "last day of month" or "last day of quarter". TX

Serial Modem is not working
Hi I have used Wavecom M1306 for my Opmanager. I have try to configure it and it always said Modem is not connected properly. Check your settings! i have to configure to use baut rate 115200 but it still not working, Could any one help me how to configure it, especially on windows XP ? Thanks Dony
Monitoring ESX AppManager.
It's possible to monitor only the ESX Host servers? When i try to monitor the ESX Server, AppManager discover all VM over the ESX Host. I haven't enough license for all VM, and i only need to monitor the ESX Hosts. Thanks in advance.

Dear support, I have several devices which MIB files aren't present in manager by defualt, it is specific TV devices. I read user manual and so on but I couldn't find any step by step instruction which explain this sequence. Could you halp me? Dmitry
scheduled reports
I have a custom query that I run and I want to schedule a report every month. How do I run a query report and then schedule the results to be emailed? I see a way to create a custom report then I can choose that report when I create a new scheduled report then I select report to be scheduled but not for saving a custom query report. Thanks Mitch

Virtual Devices and Domain Controller AD Monitoring
Hi Folks, I have recently added in our VMWare ESX servers for monitoring in 8.7 OpManager. This has all worked fine, however now my domain controllers, which are all virtual devices, are monitored like normal virtual machines, and I have none of the great Active Directory monitoring. Is there a way to configure so I can have both, or a way to change the category from Virtual Device, to Domain Controllers. At the moment the category is locked, and I am unable to change. Cheers

Notification Profile Variable for Switch Interfaces in Subject
We have alerts that are generated from our Catalyst 6500 switch for discard, errors and high utilization. These switches have over 400 interfaces and they are all labeled with a descriptive alias name. When we get alerts for from the interfaces, the subject says for example "Trouble - Switch1" It would be more intuitive if the subject had the interface name, for example "Trouble - Switch 1 - '06-12 GW-ROUTER1'" Any takers?
Business view breaks after HotFix 8721
The upgrade went without a hitch, however I can no longer view the business view we created. Has anyone else experiencing this issue? How may we correct it? Thank you so much. Rob
VMWare ESXi monitoring
Good day! I'm trying to monitor two my VMWare Hosts. One is production and the second is test "sandbox". That "sandbox" contains THE TOTAL COPY of production server plus some more copies of physical servers from production zone. The problem is that the names of the guest servers in sandbox are the same as in production. After adding VMWare host to monitoring all my previously added production servers where "overwriten" by servers from sandbox. I need to monitor both production and test environment.
Recall of a saved forwarded mail shows no content
When we created a request and we want to forward this to any mailadres, there is a possiblity to send/save/send for review or to cancel it. After saving you can retrieve this "concept" on top of the request, BUT the Description is empty. The mailadres and subject are saved, not the description. And this is of course the most important piece. Thank you for your help.
Password Encryption
Hi Team We have a few questions. When PMP stores the password and if I try to extract the report, it is in clear text, instead of encrypted format. Even though I am an Admin, I must not be allowed to see the clear text password. Also, is the password sync with AD in realtime ? How about Non-windows UNIX devices, if the password is changed in the Unix system, How does it sync in PMP ? Do we manually have to change this ? Kindly let us know. thanks Isaac ME Tech
