We are in the last throws of evaluating OPManager with a view to implementing it within the next two weeks and have a couple of questions.

 

1.  When we create a Device Templates for particular devices we enter the OID we want queried, but how does the response tie in with the OID.  For example:

 

OID:  .1.3.6.1.4.1.3845.3.1.1.1.1

 

This should return either 0 : Metaframe Application Server or other : Unknown

 

How does the template interpret the OID response.  Is it simply looking for that OID on the device in question and therefore any response uses the XenApp Template or does it need additional information on the template to manage the response.  In other words, should one of the entries under System OID be .1.3.6.1.4.1.3845.3.1.1.1.1 and the other : Metaframe Application Server"  (see image)

 

 

2.  As a side point when I try to upload the metaframe.mib for XenApp, the upload fails with the following message:

 

 

Do you have any advise on how to fix this ? 

 

Note:  If I load this MIB into another MiB Browser it works fine.  It only fails when I try and use OPManager or the Manageengine MiB Browser
