Device Icons
This has probably been asked before, but I would like to add additional images\icons for use with Device Templates. For example we have a Citrix and iLo template with which we would like to use a different Device Image. I have the images\icons already but am at a loss as to how to add them. We are using OPManager ver 8721. Any help would be appreciated. Ian

Good day. How can I get a report which indicates time spent by every technician worked on specific request? For example, a techician worked on a request, then the request was re-assigned to another technician,etc, i need information about every technician (how many time he spent) worked with the request. Unable to view other users scheduled report
Hi All, I've recently noticed that we are unable to see eachothers scheduled reports. We have a scenario where a user is leaving the company soon, and the technician who created the scheduled report is away so we couldnt tell where the scheduled report was comming from (whether the tech created a server side script outside of servicedesk+, created in another area, etc) All our technicians are SDAdmins. Is there a setting somewhere we've missed or is this normal? Cheers
AdAudit and Server 2008 R2
Hi Guys, We are looking at purchasing AdAudit Plus and are evaluating the product at the moment, but seem to have a problem running AdAudit Plus on Server 2008 R2. It ran fine the first time after install, but after a stop and start it doesnt start. Are there any known issues?
Change Account on Request
I see that this is not possible but i have two scenarios: 1) a request was accidentally created associated with the wrong account. What is the best way to correct this? 2) i'd like the technicians to be able to create requests simply by sending an e-mail to the helpdesk e-mail account. Is there a way to have these requests not associated to an account as i see from another post that requests not associated with an account can be later given this association? I have installed the application on one of our domain contrllers and want the five users to be able to access this aaplication from their desktops. What do I have to do to add a icon to their desktops so they may access the application, without actually starting a RDC connection? Hello, I hopefully have a quick and easy question. Is there a way with the Recently Deleted Users Report to show what account actually made the deletion. It is wonderful being able to see recently deleted accounts, but it would be nice to find out the user that made the deletion. Thank you for any help that can be provided.
Network Interfaces - No data
Hello, Is there something that I need to do in order for my network interfaces to have rx and tx data for them? I have discovered the card and they are both sitting there under the interfaces tab, however when I drill into each one all the data/graphs/etc that indicate the throughput are blank. If I use the MibBrowser I can retrieve information (for example ifOutOctets.11:-->441473950 ifOutOctets.12:-->3148583049) but nothing is showing up in OpManager when I go into the NIC. Any ideas?

Hi we have recently had a pen test done on our network and it has highlighted a number of issues which we need to fix. We are currently running Netflow Analyzer 7.5 and also OpManager although this doesn't seem to be working at the moment and isn't being used. Stop monitoring of network ports on mass
I would like to stop monitoring ports on our edge switches that are used for workstation connectivity and only monitor the uplink ports. Is there a way to perform this operation on mass as opposed to one port at a time via the port snapshot view?

We have noticed that even if we specify the sub-category in the notification parameters, it is not coming through into the SDP Call request. We are working around this by using business rules in SDP.
MySQL test for Nagios
We're running ServiceDesk Plus MSP on CentOS 5.5. I want to monitor the number of unassigned requests with a MySQL query. All I need the check to return is a number, as it will feed into our Nagios system, so we can trigger alerts for our engineers. All the checks I've found for this on the forums are massive, and return too much information (and my MySQL knowledge isn't enough to reduce the query down!). Hope someone can help!
Patch Scanning on SBS2007
We're having an issue where all (3) the servers we are monitoring that run Windows Small Business Server 2007 are failing the Patch scan as Unsupported operating systems. Is this an expected behavior, or is there an obvious setting I need to change?
Issue with Run Command usage of Batch script
I have a batch script I've written to use snmpset to control switches on a remote PDU we are testing. I was hoping that I could use OpManager to run this batch when it detects a certain device down for a specific time frame. However, I have run into two issues with doing this. Hello our version: SD+ 7611 We have request templates with defined task. In the template, the tasks are already assigned to a group, but not to a technician. When (in order to assign the task to a technicien or editing details of the task) opening one of those tasks, created by a template, the group assignment is lost. It would be GREAT to be able to save mappings used to import assets. We regularly add to our inventory and re-mapping for each data load is tiresome!
Unwanted Alarms
Hello, We have a large number of cisco 3550 & 3560 switches, we cannot seem to turn off the "Ports Up/Port Down Alarms !!. We have turned off various snmp trap processors in admin, but this does not work !! What do we need to do to stop these alarms ? Regards Stephen
Database documentation
We have several of our customers using ServiceDesk Plus. We have received the request several times for documentation regarding the database structure and entities. We have managed to analyze the database using 3rd party tools but there are hundreds of tables in the database. It's a monumental task to investigate each table to find out what it's for and whether or not it's important for reports etc. Why don't you publish a document that would help us create reports and export information from SDP?
Request Closed -notifications
Hi, When a new Request is created (by Technician) in the web-interface with Status as Closed, SD sends a Notification message to the Requester. This happens even if "Acknowledge Requester by Email when the request is closed" is not selected in the "Helpdesk - Notification Rules". Any fix comming to this? /lakend
Errors rate for Interfaceeth0 on TrippLite UPS
I have several TrippLite Smart Pro UPS that we are trying to monitor. Using SNMP, I have been able to monitor line voltage, giving me at least a notification when the power goes out. OpManager develpment keeps promising future support of these devices, but as of the build 8721, no go. I keep getting the alarm "errors rate for Interface eth0 is some%, threshhold...". The problem is, there is no interface listed under interfaces for these units. So I can change the monitoring or edit the threshholds
Disk Monitors? Linux or ESX?
Hello, I'm a little confused about using OPManager in the case where I have an ESX or Linux server. I'm not sure how to go about setting up, let's say, disk monitors. I'm using HP DL380 servers as ESX and one as Linux Openfiler and I'd like to be able to report if I have a disk failure in one of the RAID configs but I'm not sure how to go about this. Should I configure some kind of agent on these servers or is there something I can do directly with SNMP or SNMP traps. I'm a little new at OPManager
Can't select template or create user when technician is not a super admin
Hi, I've created a specific Help Desk Role for my IT staff to use. The Role has full access except over the AD Delegation tab. I'm finding they cannot select user templates. If I make them a Super Admin it works fine. Under the helpdesk technican, they have user templates set to all and the default template isn't configured. Outgoing SMTP in Service Desk
We are changing our mail server to Exchange 2007 and I'm having a terrible time getting ServiceDesk to send notifications through it. I set up POP access to SD can get emails from Exchange. No problem. But when I try to set up SMTP to send, I just get "Send Notification Failed" errors. One question: when you send a notification in from an SD web page, what IP address does it come from, the client's or the server's? The reason I ask is that there is already an SMTP connector set up for this server

Is there any way of removing default fields from the Requester template without removing them from the Technician's?
If I add certain fields to the Technician side of a template, I cannot remove them from the Requester template. Specifically, it's the Priority field - I don't want requesters changing the priority, they'll just mark everything as URGENT/CRITICAL/DO IT NOW!!! even if it's really trivial. :)
