WMI diskqueuelength, which disk?
When I enable the WMI disk queue length monitor in OpManager (build) 8811, what disk is it providing data for? Can I specify which disk it is monitoring?
Active Directory Authentication FAILS
In previous version (6.x) of ELA, the AD Authentication piece worked fine. Now with 7.0 x64 it does not seem to want to work at all. I had it working initially 2 or 3 times, then it just...tanked. No clue or idea why. I went back thru all my settings, double-checked everything I could think of and ....NADA. Any ideas, anyone?
Interfaces do not show up on interface tab
i am unable to see the interface details for some of my devices. i can rediscover them and they display the details. i then click to add and they never appear. i have attached a doc that shows the steps i take.
Differences between reports and inventory
Clicking Inventory-> Software-> and look for office 2003 enterprise does not appear, but if you go to report -> report-user> software -> office 2003 enterprise looking if it appears. Its a bug ???

Performance monitor - single instance
I want to monitor a single instance under an OID. Specifically, OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7 lists the following instances: ifAdminStatus.1 ifAdminStatus.4 ifAdminStatus.5 ifAdminStatus.6 ifAdminStatus.7 ifAdminStatus.8 I know if I query .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7.5 in the MIB browser, this returns the results I require for that single instance. It is not possible to select this when setting up the monitor in the device template though. You can only select the parent OID. I'm perfectly happy to hack config
New OpManager install - Which version do i need to download?
We are licensed for OpManager Deluxe, but I only see Standalone and Enterprise versions on the support page. Which version do I need to download (64-bit Windows 2008 Server)?
Enabling SNMP
First time using OpManager. Is their a way of mass enabling snmp on computers that have it disabled? Over 75% of my computers in our network don't even have the snmp service showing under services. I know how to manually enable it in the add/remove features but with over 600 computers this will take me forever to accomplish this.
It takes very long to connect to EventLog Analyzer web console from a remote computer
If i haven't been using web console for a few days and then i try to login to it from a remote PC, then it shows the Login page (auto login is enabled) and then stays in Connecting.. stage for a few minutes or longer. If i try to login locally on the server, then it loads immediately (it usually starts a few script processes). I have noticed such stalls when i was just starting to setup everything and firewall was turned off. Now it is on, but if it would be the cause, then it won't work at all.
End user custom field not showing in template

Requester domain name change
Is it possible to change the domain name in a number of requesters' email addresses at the same time? We have about sixty requesters who have changed their domain name from xyz@company.co.uk to xyz@company.com. Of course at the moment each time they send a request through it is creating a new account for them. Can we change them en masse to the new .com domain and possibly identify duplicates (for deletion) at the same time? Thanks in advance - Terry
Assets not passing to Servicedesk
I have just set up servicedesk plus pro (30 day demo) and am slightly confused. I have configured the integration with desktop central but none of the assets I have already scanned are being passed across to servicedesk, Due to the fact I am probably being stupid, can someone put me out of my misery ?
AD and Local Authentication issue
Hello, I have a SDP 8016 deployment that imports users from 2 AD forests and also allows for user self-registration by sending an email. Those users obviously use SDP Local Authentication. We have realized that users in the AD are able to login with their AD credentials but also with the Local Authentication credentials. This seems to be a big security issue, as technicians have a dual login and the one from the Local Authentication has a trivial password (username=password). To reproduce
HP Proliant Servers - Extended monitoring
Wondering if anyone has done any custom or advanced monitoring with HP Proliant servers? I would specifically like to get more detailed monitoring of stuff like RAID status, drive status (from SMART?) etc. We have one particular server that has had issues with some drives. I have had to rely on running the ADU, but would like something to monitor the health of drives and notify us when there is drive errors, filesystem errors, etc..
Build 8015 and 8016 Dashboard issue
Hi, Dashboard in build 8015 and 8016 Requests by technician chart - technician name column does not have a heading and the technician names are cropped at 11 characters. Is this expected? I have verified this in FF3.6.20, IE8, IE9 and IE10 against both builds. Even the same if you click "View All" - there is loads of blank space in that column before the "Open Calls" count, but still cropped at 11 characters and ends in "..." Can we get this fixed? We are using version 7.0.0 Build 7020 and are trying to use the Purchase Order area but are stuck in that technicians can't create orders because they can't add products, etc. Is there a way to give users that kind of access? Thanks.

Local administrator account
The domain controller configured in Servicedesk is no longer available. We are unable to logon to service desk to change the LDAP settings. I have found the article in the FAQ on how to reset the local admin password but when I run the initial query to enumerate the users, it only returns the configured LDAP users and not a local administrator account. How do I recreate the local administrator account, or how do I change the LDAP details from a SQL query? Thanks

Before this error appear, i wanted to move servicedesk to another server. I perform this steps: 1. Backup data old server 2. Clean instalation new server 3. Restore data, new server but the service could not start, reporting this error: Unclean shutdown of previous run.

I am looking for a report that will combine the Service Request with a Change Request that was spawned from it. Monitoring Virtual Exchange
Is there a way to monitor exchange monitors if the server in question is a virtual server? We have a virtual exchange 2010 server. It shows up under the "Virtual Devices" category. I add the exchange monitors but it never gets any data. When I test the credentials, they pass. Any suggestions? Eric
cannot see my new environment for OP manager
i installed OP manager in another linux box and wanted to migrate my environment(all configs) from my old box to my new one. i copied the files /opt/ManageEngine/OpManager/users /opt/ManageEngine/OpManager/conf /opt/ManageEngine/OpManager/mysql/data from the old to new box but when i log into OP Manager hosted in the new box, nothing had been migrated. Kindly assist. am stuck :-(

As I have a CSV file containing nominal router names, router alias and speed, is there a way to apply changes using those informations into that file? Specific command on CLI or script, etc... Hello. I`ve just reinstalled desktop central on my server 2003 SBS, because it crashed. After I did it on remote computers (with reinstalled DCAgent) error appears only two times after user log on and after user log off. Event log 1004 application error dcconfig.exe, version 0.0.0.0 dcconfig.exe, version 0.0.0.0, error address 0x000019ff. Thanks.

Request Closing Rules per site
Hi I would like to know, if there is a way to configure Request Closing Rules per site. In effect, we are billing our interventions for some sites only. So it would be nice to be able to force technicians by filling out mandatory fields for closing request (i.e. to add work logs) for requests regarding the selected sites. Today our IT-department use SDP for support. But in an effort to bring more of the oganization into ITIL our HR-department wantto have a servicedesk. The thing about this is that HR handles sensitive cases and our technicians are not supposed to see any of it. So we need a way to sort and categorize these tickets automatic via Business Rules or some other way. In Business Rules you can set up rules for based on the mail header(Subject, From, CC and To). Complete Newbie - trouble getting started
I’m a complete newbie to OpManager, and even anything related to the us of SNMP, and am having trouble getting started with the setup. I’ve discovered devices, categorised some of them as Servers (Vendor: Hewlet Packard; category: server; Type: HP Prolient Server). I’ve enabled SNMP on the servers. I’m really not sure what the SNMP setting are supposed to be on the servers but on the Security Tab I’ve set up the Community name as ‘Public (which is the SNMP credential I gather opmanager is using)
Complete Port List
Hello, I'm looking for a complete list of TCP ports I need to have open on the CLIENT (not server) firewall when the agent is installed on the Local Network (not remote). The initial install goes though, but no communication is functioning afterwards. ie. An inventory scan generated from the Server Console times out. Configuration changes (patch installation) are never picked up. Separately, I am also looking for a complete TCP port list for my REMOTE CLIENT's (not server) firewall as well.
Time shown on requests is incorrect
The system time on Service Desk plus shows correctly in the top right bar. But on all requests the time shows as an hour behind. Is there a way of correcting this on service desk so the requests time shown matches the system time? See attachment example. The reqeust was actually logged at 10:03 not 9:03.
Linux memory utilization
I have a server running out of memory but I can't get an alert from app manager because it shows the memory usage at 5%. here is the free command. You can see that 80% of the memory is in used buffers. but app manager is still showing 5%.
