I would like to be able to generate an alarm when an interface goes active and the alarm clear when the interface is shutdown.

 

I've not figured out how to reverse the "normal" alarm setting for interfaces, is this possible in OpManager?  

 

This is becoming a real problem as when combined with my escalation alarms, when I bring an interface up to test DR circuit and then shut it back down, it starts generating interface down alarms every 5 minutes (as it should for an interface that is not supposed to be down) until I delete the alarm and rediscover the device (which then removes links on my maps that have that device).

 

Please advise....
