Event ID 644 - Locked Out Report contains duplicate entries
We have a daily report which reports on event 644 occurences (Windows user locked out). For some reason our report contains duplicate entries for the same user. * It has the same time stamp * It is from the same source server This is an intermittent issue. Can anyone advise on why this occurs?
custom Windows event log
Many application manufacturer design there software to custom log in windows eventlog. Right now we can only monitor Application / Security / System ... What if an application we need to monitor is logging in an other source. That is the problem i am having right now.

Latency and other disk I/O statistics for NFS datastores has been available since vSphere 4 was released. They are filed under datastore not disk in the VMWare client. Can they be added to the AppManager ESX monitoring?

Right now for MSP, we can only turn on surveys for all accounts or no accounts. However, we would like to: 1. Have the ability to customize surveys for different accounts AND 2. Have the ability to turn surveys on for some accounts and leave them off for others. Thanks!
OpManagerDB running on a external mysql-server (ubuntu)
Hi! I've tryed to get the database on a axternal machine. Can't quite get it to work. It creates the database and some tables (318 to be precise). Active Directory Authentication
I see in EventLog Analyzer where you can import AD users from OUs for AD authentication but all i want to do is give 2 users access via domain credentials. By importing an OU it will bring in WAY too many users. Is there a way i can just add 2 AD users to be able to log in via AD authentication or do you have to import all the users from a particular OU? Creating a seperate OU just for this would not be an option either.
Templates and Alert Profiles - Why doesn't it work this way??
So I have over 150 servers under my "Windows 2003" template.. After I setup the template with what I wanted to monitor I went through the Quick Config Wizard and assigned a notification profile to all the servers.. What I would think would and what I want to happen is whenever I add another server under my "Windows 2003" template it should automatically get that alert profile. However, it doesn't do this, unless I'm doing something wrong.. Anytime I add a new server I have to manually setup my alerts

Asset issue - 2 computers not co-existing
In ServiceDesk I have 2 workstations with completely different sets of information. When I run a scan on Workstation 1, Workstation 2 is removed. When I scan Workstation 2, Workstation 1 gets removed. I am on ServiceDesk 8017 with the 1.05 client. I am also running MSSQL for the backend. Any ideas?
Request Category Sorting in Chrome/IE Different from Firefox
When creating a new request (or updating an existing request) in Firefox, the Category select drop down appears in alphabetical order. When doing this same activity in IE or Chrome, it appears to be sorted by the identification number of the category, rather than by its name. My question: is there any way to make Chrome and IE use the same sorting as does Firefox? I've attached two screenshots of what we're seeing in Firefox and then Chrome. Monitoring file size within folder
Hello I would like to be able to monitor file sizes within a folder without specifying a specific filename. The folder acts as a drop box and then an automated process transfers the incoming files to another folder. The files are always called something different and sometimes there are multiple files dropped in at the same time. I don't know if it's possible to set up a wildcard of some sort so that the filename doesn't matter. for example, the monitor would scan the folder and see file1-11052112011.pdf

Hi all, I am using PMP build 6403. I configure a API user, it works fine and I can retrieve password. However I found a problem. My computer runs Ubuntu OS, PMP is running on Windows 2003. Network Monitor configuration questions
1) I have over 200 hundred switches I monitor with Network Monitor. I do not have, nor do I want to configure, DNS names for all of those switches. OpUtils pulls the System Name via SNMP. How can I replace the "DNS Name" column with a "System Name" column? Managing Service Contracts
Is there a way to manage service contracts in SupportCenter Plus? For example, am I able to put a service contract expiration date for each account, and then have SupportCenter Plus either disable new ticket requests or prevent completing tickets when that contract has expired?

We have this setup: HostDomain.com and hosted domains company1.com, company2.com When we create users for company1 company 2 etc, we notice that the Logon name(pre-Windows 2000) cannot be modified and is set to "HOSTDOMAIN\" instead of "COMPANYn\". Problem scanning custom built machines
Hi, We recently distributed agent 1.05 to the workstations in our company through AD. However, everyone in one department has a custom built machine. These machines show as Model: System Product Name and Service Tag: System Serial Number so whenever one machine scans it replaces any other custom built machine already scanned. Hi, I have created a template for the robo technician to automatically reset the password for a particular user. I would like this to be one of the templates in the Application Login section of the Service Catalog. Hi, I want to create a report that can tell me if a certain piece of software is installed on a client machine. The issue is that it cannot use from Add / Remove Programs as the program has a generic name but lots of components. I want to report on a certain executable being on a folder on a machine. Our team is currently evaluating SDP and looking to improve on how we currently do things in comparison with CA's ServiceDesk (which we currently hate). Currently we use Changes to submit a ticket to initiate work and approvals for software updates. These updates are for in house applications. Sharing individual resources within a resource group
I hope someone can help with this. Our Web Admins group is using resource groups to organize resources for quicker and easier password management. The issue is, there are certain admins that will require some passwords from a group without the full group. When one or two resources of a group are shared, they show to the user without the associated group or parent group. This makes it much more difficult to keep passwords organized. Our site vs the demo site
We are on version 8 and have noticed that when we browse the demo site it works fine with the Google chrome browser but out local helpdesk site shows the quick actions bar all messed up and when we edit a request it popups a message saying Mozilla < 1.3 Beta is not supported!. IT automation in opmanager
The new IT automation option is very nice, but when I tried to compress/delete old files, I only get files compressed or deleted in the folder I specified, not the ones in the nested folders it contains. Is this the expected behaviour or could I get the entire folder tree compressed/deleted?
'File Monitor' not work for Desktop category
Hi all, I am using OpManager v8 build 8812. I already setup some devices in OpManager : a windows 7 and a windows 2008 machines. Windows 7 is under 'Desktop' category and windows 2008 is under 'Server' category. At the windows 7 machine, 'Monitors' tab, 'File Monitors', I click 'Click here' nothing comes up and I saw a error prompt at status bar. In Windows 7 machine, 'Passwords' > 'Test Credential', SNMP and WMI are Passed. However in windows 2008 machine, the 'File Monitors' function works fine.

Is there any way to create new groups? I only have the option of selecting the default groups of either Hardware Problems, Network, or Printer Problems.
