Unable to access web client page

Greetings,

I have been asked by my college system administrator to test this software out for possible use in our college wide environment.  We have over 1000 users and this seems like the ideal solution.

I seemed to have gotten everything setup and configured as the user manual describes and things seem to work like the user manual and demo describes except one thing.  Most settings were left at default except where the policy was to be applied in the OU section.  On an end user test machine, the user is unable to access the web client page making it difficult to actually test and see what an end user can actually do if they are locked out, forgot their password, or need to reset their password because it expired.  Firewalls are disabled on all machines.

My test environment is setup the following way:
The primary domain controller is pdc.ksu.edu (192.168.0.1) running Windows Server 2008 64-bit.
The client computer, running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit who is a member of the pdc.ksu.edu domain, goes to http://pdc.ksu.edu:8888/ShowLogin.cc or http://192.168.0.1:8888/ShowLogin.cc and they get a page cannot be found.

Both computers see each other in ping test.  Client computer reports nothing on port 8888 on pdc.

I'm not sure what I did wrong here.  Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.  Most settings were left at default.  It may be I need to tweak something.

Thanks,
