Automatically block non-approved applications
Hi DesktopCentral team,
there is a feature that we really miss in DC. It would be the ability to automatically block the execution of any application unless we approve it.$
Currently, there is the prohibited software list. However, software in this list that cannot be automatically uninstalled are not block for execution. I think the ITeam cannot be credible if it can just pop-up a window at logon saying "you have prohibited software installed on your system" if it cannot block them...
This should not be hard to implement as there is already a way to automatically block applications in Windows (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms811966.aspx).
More than that, as I started to write, best would be to automatically block non-approved applications until we approve them from DesktopCentral console. This would be a good way to be able to check what software are being installed.
I hope my feature request is somehow understandable.
