Vulnerability DB Update Fails
I am currently having issues with the vulnerability database on my server not updating. It says that the last successful update was on March 13, and it has failed on every attempt since then. This happens both with the scheduled update and a manual update. If I click on the "Failure" link to get more detail, it just says "Failed to Update the Vulnerability DataBase on 2012-04-26 10:00:00". Is there a log somewhere that will give me more information to try troubleshooting this problem?
Uncompatible Message when Installing 80022 Hotfix
I am currently using a Desktop Central configuration from a patch to 80014. I am attempting to update to install hotfix 80022. After running the Update Manager (yes, the service is stopped) and selecting the .ppm file through the Browse button I receive a message "The ppm file that you have specified is not compatible with this product." Where did I go wrong?
OpManager sent an alert with wrong information regarding disk space
Hi, OpManager sent an alert with wrong information regarding disk space. When I checked the server disk space it is still 27.7GB and OpManager sent a zero disk space alert. This happened twice on different server and need to configure again the servers on OpManager. What causing the problem? Please help. Regards, Joel
Problem Adding Device to OpManager
Hi Currently running build 9101 on Windows Server 2003, and I'm having issues adding a new firewall (a DrayTek 3200 series device) to OpManager. Manually adding the device results in OpManager reporting that the device was added successfully, but it isn't available to view, and searching for it returns no results, only prompting me to add the device again. Share permissions
I am creating templates to be used for the purpose of bulk user upload. The problem I have is configuring the share permissions in line with company policy. The share permissions are required to be set to 'Everyone' full control. Then we use NTFS permissions to restrict access as appropiate. When selecting 'add more share permissions' I can only select Active Directory objects. (User/ Group/ Computer) The trouble is, the 'Everyone' group is not an object I can select. Changing ESX host monitors polling frequency
Hi, Is there a way to change the polling frequency of the monitors to an ESX host? By default they are all at 5 minutes and if you edit the monitor, you can't change the preriod. The same polling is assign to the host itself meaning that data is collected every 5 minutes, does this mean that if the server loose network connectivity a critical alarm will be raise only 25 minutes later? (5 polling with a ping failed) 1 ping failed after 5 minutes (1 x 5min) will raise a Attention alarm 3 ping failed
Set Default OU for Technicians
Hi, there are several technicians in my ad-manager and they have rights on many OU's. Is it possible to set one specific OU as default OU for a user? Example: one of the technicians mostly creates a special type of groups and they should be located in the regading ou. This is 90% of the work he is doing in ADManager. We're currently testing ManageEngine Netflow in a VERY simple environment. We're monitoring a single ASA 5510 firewall's inside and outside ports. This firewall is connected to a router which is connected to two bonded T1 lines (2.88Mbps total throughput.) When I view the bandwidth using the Cisco ASDM interface it always shows the total bandwidth going through the outside interface as equal to or less than the 2.88Mbps. Backup Cisco ASA over VPN Tunnel
Greetings, I have several Cisco ASA devices that I would like to backup using SSH and Device Expert. Whilst Device Expert backs up the local ones perfectly (though it does not appear to recognise changes with Change Detection?) it does not work with the remote ASA's over IPSec VPN tunnels. As of the latest version of Cisco ASA (8.2(1)) there is an option to specify if you wish to send the command over the VPN tunnel. SDP via Windows Phone 7.5
Hi All, I just made our SDP site externally accessible, and it works fine from both a PC and one of my tech's Android phone on Verizon. Changing asset to consumable
We have 14000+ assets and 14000 of them are bits and pieces which are consumables and do not need to be tracked but still purchased through the system. I cannot see a way to change an item to be a consumable now I have modified the types as they were incorrectly added as components a long time ago. Also some of these are set to non-it assets of which there are many types yet the filter on the sidebar is empty as in my screenshot. Thanks D

Printers from scan script to inventory
sd 8027 In the computer details in Hardware tab there is Printers section. Is there any way to add such a printers to the IT Assets->Printers automatically? Onhold Status reason
Is it possible to be able to quickly view the reason why a request(s) are on hold without having to open the individual request and look at the History to the request. For example... In the request view (list of many requests) you can have a column that indicates the request status (Open, Onhold, Closed, etc), what about an additional column stating a reason... Request page not supporting html anchor
We are running Servicedesk 8.1. On the users we have setup html anchors for easier access to other services. SIP link for calling. VNC for remote management. And links to ISP web for reporting cases, info and status. The user page supports these links fine. But on the request page, the anchors won' t work. It would be nice if this could be fixed to support html anchors.
Creating users with External Addresses
I have created a template for creation of users with mailboxes. The template is locked so our techs only has to enter First Name & Last Name. The other required fields are generated aumatically and the fields are locked so they cannot be changed. I copied that template for creation of users with External Mail addresses. Scheduled Report deleted but still sending.
I've got a requests report "Weekly Workload for the web designers" going to two executives, every week. They said they were done with this report, so I deleted it from "Showing, Schedule Reports". The report is still sending apparently. I can't edit the report or the scheduling because it does not exist. I am an SRAdmin and I created the report and the schedule. Hello, We are currently using the free version 9.5 and are considering purchasing the product, Proessional Edition. We have no need for the additional features like IPSLA, Cisco WAAS, Cisco Medianet, CBQoS/NBAR etc. Is it possible to have a feature put in place that these unused tabs can be removed from the view as it creates confusion for our support team? I've noticed while reading and performing a hotfix/servicepack that the instructions relate to backing up your SD+ using the backupdata.bat (in the first instance) My query relates to two things, firstly in the same set of instructions it then refers to running updatemanager.bat which also offers the function to backup, is this different to the backupdate? Can i make it so requesters can change their site? i would like to make it when they open a new incident, that the "site" field defaults to their default site, but they are able to change their site. is this possible?

server tray icon not found
After I have Tech support to migrate my server from one computer to another computer. It just copy all files of DesktopCentral server folder to another computer. He start the service. It is working, but the tray icon for the server process was not found. I remember, if I install the program by set up process. It will create the tray icon for me.
