Exchange 2007 mailbox creation issue
We have just discovered an issue with the creation of our Exchange 2007 mailboxes using the ADManager tool. What is happening is when an account gets created through AD Manager the account free/busy information is not available. The only we have found to resolve this is if we disconnect the mailbox then reconnect the mailbox then everything works. Every other way we have tried creating the account the free/busy information is available for the new mailbox.
Notes on what we have found:
- On the web page to create the account we see a box about creating mailboxes on Exchange 2007 requires the Exchange tools be installed. The Exchange 2007 tools are installed so I don't know if that is just an informational message or if the ADManager just is not detecting that the tools are installed.
- When the mailbox is getting created it is showing as a LegacyMailbox and we have to run set-mailbox with the ApplyMandatoryProperties switch.
- The mailbox is being created on Exchange 2007 but the LegacyExchangeDN is referencing our Exchange 2003 environement.
- Lastly we have output mailbox settings and LDP information for the account before and after reconnecting the mailbox and used a comparison tool to try and determine what is chaning about the account and nothing appears to be different.
Help is appreciated,
Dave
