SQL Monitoring
Hello, I am trying to monitor one of our SQL services and I have it added to opmanager along with the associated monitors however, it appears that it is not collecting data and it does not bring up a list of databases on that sql server. I have SNMP and WMI setup correctly and when I test the credentials, it passes successfully. Can anyone shed some light on what may be happening ... opmanager is at the latest build 9101 Thanks

Hyperlinks in Self-Service Portal Usage
Is there a way to create hyperlinks in the Self-Service Portal Usage section on the summary page to enable direct link from this usage section to more detail? We want to point our technicians and/or requestors to detailed help for using Service Desk Plus. Examples include creating a request, search for a request, view all open requests, etc. This would give them a quick reference to 'online help' or the online training documentation that we will be keeping in the Solutions database.

Creating new Severity and new colors
Hi all, I've been asked to look into creating new severities and assigning them new colours. I've edited the SeverityInfo.conf file with the new levels and made sure to follow the guides but cant see anywhere that opmanager reads them. Long story short what im looking for it to get more granularity for attention and trouble warnings EG have coldstarts or service failures come up with something other than the yellow "Attention". Any thoughts?
Monitoring Interface selection
We have a server that was added as a Server 2008 monitor to AppManager by its hostname (not the FQDN). This server has two network interfaces, each with separate DNS entries. NIC #1 resolves correctly to hostname.domain.com and NIC #2 resolves correctly to hostname-bkp.domain.com via NSLOOKUP. Alias's are not used for this server. The monitor was added successfully but I noticed that AppManager is monitoring on NIC#2 vs. NIC#1. When pinging the hostname or or using NSLOOKUP the name always resolves

Unable to start NetFlow collector
I have successfully installed the NetFlow Central Reporting Server and installed the NetFlow Collector on a seperate server. When I login to the NetFlow Collector server and try to start the application using the Collector Server, nothing happens. I've got some errors: Error 1: Without any option besides the one that creates a log in verbose mode. I create a file called ./ManageEngine_SupportCenter_Plus.sp that contains only one line: "is.debug=1". ServiceDesk integration with Desktop Central Issue
I have just upgraded our Desktop Central to the latest version to get the integration with ServiceDesk Plus. I followed the directions to enable the integration, and everything works. However whenever I try to check off "Enable to access Desktop Management Functionality" and save, the check box gets deselected. I am doing this signed on as "Admin", not myself. Hi! We use SupportCenter Plus license for 5 support reps Now we have to change two support reps (delete two records from Support reps list and add two new ones). Report against archived request
We auto archive requests over a year old. I dont seem to be able to run/produce any data against archived reports. So for example If I run > report by all requests > requests by department > then select a time filter of 1/1/2011 to 31/12/2011 - it only reports on calls made after 11 july 2011 (i.e those not archived). If I run the same report against the first 6 months of 2011, or any period prior to archive data, it reports nothing. How can I run reports agianst archived calls ?
Multiple thresholds
Is it possible to have multiple thresholds set for a resource monitor? For, a disk partition would be say "warning" status at 80%, but "critical" at 95%?
Unable to log into ServiceDesk using Active Directory.
I am unable to log into ServiceDesk 8.0.0 using Active Directory logins. It has a MySQL database backend. CI Type incorrect after a scan
We have been deploying laptops over the last several months. Part of our process is to perform a initial scan of the device with SDP. What has been happening is most all the scanned laptops are being listed under Windows Workstation Asset and not under laptops. These devices are HP laptops. Why doesnt SDP classify them as laptops after a network scan is performed? Whay cant you manually move them to the laptops asset group?

How do I assign a site to a technician
Build 8027. Edit the technician - how do I assign them to a site (the same as a requester) so that when they create requests via email they are associated to the correct site? Example admin/technicians - on this page the site field is not available to be shown/added - for requesters it is available. If you edit the technician there is no site field - there is a site associated to the department field, but not his site. 1. Approval detail check. On request, Requester and Tech. can check approval status. But, cannot check what was written on the approval request E-mail for audit purpose. 2. Chrome problem. Hi opManager Team! Please be advised that passwords may not work in IE8??? I was not able to login properly, but with the back function of Internet Explorer (that means back to the cached opman pages before the update) I managed to change the password to something simple like 12345. inline images, URL change
Hi, SDP Version: 8.0.0 Build 8022 Inline images are no longer displayed. I changed from HTTP to HTTPS and our initial web link from servicedesk.domain1.com to servicedesk.domain2.com After that, i figured that all the inline images are still referring to servicedesk.domain1.com instead of servicedesk.domain2.com. Due to FW and ISA the domain1.com is not available over HTTPS (and i do not want that to be the case). My question here: Is there a way to change the domain for inline images? Some(not all)

Change calendar
I have just upgraded our test environment from build 7608 to 8109 and one of my colleagues has just noticed the change schedule dates. When she enters dates within a change, the change is appearing in the Calendar View. We also expected it to appear within the Calendar on the left hand side of the screen, and for something other than "No Changes scheduled" to appear just below the calendar. Set Minimum Password Length for Default Administrator user
I am evaluating Service Desk Plus. My environment is Windows Server 2008 R2, SDP is installed with a MySQL database. I have a drop dead requirement to no allow any passwords with less than 8 characters. This has to be enforceable at a system level. Currently the default administrator account that is created in SDP will allow the password to be changed to a single character. Is it possible to set a minimum password length in the database, and how would that be done. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unable to restore database : Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream
Hi, we want to test the upgrade to the latest version in our test environment. However when we try to restore the backup file from our production environment in this test environment we get the error: Unable to restore database : Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream. Even when we shutdown the production environment and then make a backup-file, the restore of this file in the test-environment gives the same error. Is there a problem with the backup or is our environment-database corrupt ?

Where are service desk plus 8.0.0 Build 8009 conversations/messages stored in the database?
Could anyone say where the conversations/messages in service desk plus 8.0.0 build 8009 are stored in the database. I check the Conversation tables and found that only the messages that were sent using Microsoft Outlook are stored there. I also need the messages that are sent using Service Desk. I need these messages because I'm building a report that would return all conversations along with some additional information. Thanks for any help.
Database Maintenance - Manual Execution
We've been using OM for about 2 years. We are a few versions behind and i want to upgrade. I received the files from Zoho and started the process, but the backup of the DB took a full 8 hours, and never finished. The backup process got stuck on one statistics table from May. I went in to DB maintenance and changed all the settings to 3 days. I read on a forum post that I need to wait 24 hours for the actual deletion to happen. adding a SNMP Process Monitor
I'm trying to monitor a process on a server with SNMP. I have one server where this is already working but on this one it looks like I'm only able to monitor processes with WMI. When I click "add Process Monitors", I get the error: UserName/Password details are not configured for this device. The performance monitors (CPU, memory, disk) work with SNMP. When I try to add the monitor using Process Templates I have the same problem. When selecting the server in the dropdown, I have only the option WMI
