Are there any chances that OpManager could conflict with several Apache servers that we have in house. I am installing on a win2k3 server and want to make sure that I dont cause any problems. thanks
can't monitor Memory Utilization and Disk Utilization
Hi, OP support team, I have a problem with the Memory and disk untilization monitor. I tried monitor one windows 2003 server with OP. and now, I can monitor almost service, like as :"CPU Utilization;Print Spooler Spooler Net Logon Netlogon Event Log Eventlog DNS Server DNS DHCP Server DHCPServer RPC" etc. but I can't monitor the Memory Utilization and Disk Utilization. Contact shuts down ftp communication
I have installed OpUtils demo and I set up my subnets to scan. That night, one of our critical ftp servers stopped accepting connections. After looking into the problem, it was found that the OpUtils server was continually trying to contact this machine. Once the OpUtils machine was shut down, the ftp server was accessible again. What would cause this to happen? Is there a way to start OpUtils back up so that it does not incapacitate my ftp server? Thanks for any help. The software is great so far,
Unmange Desktop
I am using Opmanger v6012 and I try to unmange the desktop. Is there any way that I can unmange all the selected IP or desktop names as I am doing it one desktop at a time. Thanks.
Opmanager Alarm history report
Hello, Running Opmanager V6 6012. I am looking for a management report that can be scheduled to run daily that would list all of the alarm events for the last x hours. It seems like a simple thing to do, but I do not find this type of canned report nor do I see how to set it up in a custom report. Is this possible? Thanks,

Unable to Maintain Remote Web Client Session
I can log into the OpManager Web Client locally and experience no browsing problems. However when I log in remotely, Web Client displays the Overview page as expected and as soon as I click any links, I am bumped back to the login page. I have tried this from different remote machines and experience the same problem. Any ideas?

MIB parsing
Hi all, I added new MIBS in OpManager. I constated that I need to load them at least once because in the other case I do not have MIB parsing when I check trap alarms. At first, I copied the MIBS files directly in mib dir but problem is same when I use the "Upload" button in "MIB Browser" tools. Thank you, Vincent.

Error adding a new Windows service when password has a space
When i use the link "Add new service" from the "Windows service monitors" i get a screen that asks me for a device and login credentials. i enter the login credentials, and the admin password just happens to have a space embedded .... this results in a "wrong # of parameters" error If i use another account with a password with only letters it all works find
about monitoring interfaces of PIX 515
I added the PIX 515 to the OP monitor and then want to monitor the interfaces statistics of it. However, after I added the monitor for interfaces, I click the link of the statistcs but it has no respond. I can monitor interfaces for other cisco devices such as 3560, 2950. Do anyone experience this problem too?
Integration with ServiceCenter
Can you confirm is the MSP version can integrate with ServiceCenter? I've seen comments that it can with ServiceDesk but as MSP is aimed to deal with multiple clients I'd have thought integration with ServiceCenter was essential. Thanx
Strange SNMP request behavior on OpManager
Hi all, Sometimes I do not have SNMP answer when I test system monitors such "CPU Usage", "Memory Usage". And WMI monitors does not work in most of time. On my computer I created a special account with Administrator right. When I add "Free disk space .. WMI" with no username/password defined, OpManager ask me for Windows authentication, I define username/password and OpManager valid them but when I test WMI monitor, it fails with the message : The Monitor did not respond to the test request Possible

custom monitor emc ax100. Possible?
Hi All, I'm trying to configure custom monitors for an EMS ax100 storage device. When I look in the web based management page for the AX100 I can see that it uses a MIB called fibre alliance. I downloaded that mib and I tried to use the stand alone mibbrowser to see if I could read some data from the device. All I receive is: Sent get request to 192.168.0.50 : 161 Request Failed: Get Response PDU received from 192.168.0.50 Error Indication in response: There is no such variable name in this mib.
Feature Request: Reformatted URL Monitor Notifications
I think this has been requested before, but I'd like to bring it up again. The format of notification emails for URL monitors leaves a little to be desired, especially for us because we send URL notifications to our cell phones via text message. Service Alert Issue
I recently installed and configured OpManager to monitor a few specific services on a remote server. I am able to monitor the services but when I try to associate a email alert to these services, they do not show up in the check boxes of selectable services. I am curious how I would go about adding a alert to a specific service that does not show up through the normal process. I have looked through the FAQ/Help and followed procedure, but could not associate the email alert to that specific service
Manage HP Storageworks SAN Switch in Opmanager
Anyone try to manage an HP StorageWorks SAN Switch in OpManager? I have defined the object type and categorized it as a switch. But when I look at the ports, it does not recognize them and complains that the Bridge mib has not been implemented on the device. OK that makes sense because it is not a network switch. So how do I manage it and its fiber ports? Thanks. Courtney

In the demo, I was able to see, that I can send an SMS, Email, run a command or program as a notification for an alarm. Is there a facility to send a SNMP trap from each alarm from the central server with the alarm information? Has anybody successfully used Clickatell as their SMS portal on ServiceDesk? We use it successfully with ServersCheck, but it requires a usernam and login and on SD+ I think we can only supply username/account? Has anyone had success please? Thanks

Plaintext notification emails are sent as mime multipart ...
I have problem with setting up email notification profile - I have set email to be sent as "plain text" in notification profile, but notification emails are still sent as mime multipart. What am I doing wrong ? I am using OpManager on CentOS 4.4. I have tried to install it on Windows 2003 server too, but the result is the same - plaintext notification emails are sent as multipart. How can I check a systems SNMP status with Opmanager
We are evaluating the trail version of Opmanager. We had SNMP on a couple of our test box hang. Opmanager did not alert us that it was no longer getting snmp info from the test box. Can opmanager check the SNMP status and send an alert if it goes down? We tried creating a service alarm for port 161 and it lists the port as down. Thanks Tom

Hello, There are issues, when discovering /26 (255.255.255.192) network. We have need to discover network range x.y.z.0 to x.y.z.63 on a one probe and x.y.z.64 to x.y.z.125 on another one. I can not set up OpManager to discover network x.y.z.64 / 255.255.255.192 while it always reports "invalid network address". I am only able to set up x.y.z.0 / 255.255.255.192 and OpManager will create 4 subnets separately, but they are monitored from one probe, I need every single subnet to be monitored on separate
