Change Scale Of Network Utilization And System Uptime
Is there a way to change the scaling on two monitors. The first is a SNMP custom monitor I add which is system uptime in seconds. It is sort of annoying to look at the graph of the uptime in seconds when the number is 1.5884E ETC. Can I modify this to be minutes or even hours? Secondly the graph of network utilization is annoying since I have a gigabit ethernet adapter that thing is always super low, is there a way to scale it down to the max of 100MBS? Thanks?
Starting OpManager In CentOS --ID=0 --ID: Undefined Variable
Hello, I just installed OpManager into CentOS Linux 4.4, all went OK. Currently I have apache, mysql, and php all tested on the operating system, they all work. When I attempt to start OpManager: ./bin/StartOpManagerServer.sh I get the following output and opManager does not start. ID=0: Command not found. ID: Undefined Variable Thanks for any help resolving this issue.
Can't change custom device type icon
I have a custom device type that I created a while ago and have associated to a few devices. I'm just trying to change the device icon image, but can't...if I select a new image file and hit OK, I get a message saying "Device Type modified successfully", but the icon is unchanged! This happens no matter which image I choose to change it to. I am able to change my other custom device type icons without a problem, so it's just related to this one. I took a look at the log files on the server but nothing
Availability servers
Today we suffered from a power outage. While the probe was working again I couldn't see if a server was working again or not. Is it possible to make a change in the maps layout so that you can actually get an overview with ping results? A kind of "alive board" so I get a picture of my network status. Antivirus block port 25, fail to send email notification
I am facing the problem where McAfee8.0 blocks the SMTP port 25 & I am not able to send email notification. When i disable the McAfee, the email notification is working fine. What is the .exe file of OPManager that send out the email notification so that i can exclude that particular .exe file in McAfee?
Monitoring exchange 2003
We have 3 exchange 2003 servers instaled on our network and we want to monitor them but we can't do this. All services on these servers are been monitor well (web, disk use.. etc) but not exchange. We have installed SNMP and WMI on the servers but still doesn't work. �How can we do this?. Thanks.
Not a Router
I am attemtping to use the switch port mapper to resolve the hosts on a segment that does not have a real router. I have a netscreen firewall with a number of cisco switches behind it. I am able to use other products by using a windows machine as the router. What is wrong with what I am doing.

Hi all, I'm puzzled with a question. I've configured a custom monitor to monitor Temperatures (in degrees Celsius). After a short while I enabled Thresholds for this monitor. Basically: GenerateAlarm when OID-VALUE/Instance is during 'one consecutive time' greater then Threshold=X, then Severity=Trouble, AlarmMessage='Temperature exceeded ThresholdX C', ClearAlarm when OID-VALUE/Instance is during 'one consecutive time' less then Threshold=X-1. Right now OpManager displays this: Temperature exceeded

MS SQLServer monitoring
Hi We have an installation of MS SQLServer, but we cannot monitor it properly from OpManager, as we also get an error on the service. We have checked the SNMP, port for service, Windows password, etc, and everything else seem to work fine; also the new update (Jan 2nd, 2007) is installed on the server. Can anyone give a tip on what to check?
Problem with AIX monitoring
During our test with AIX monitoring, we are getting a high CPU utilization which is correct but when we look at the details what uses most CPU, it doesn't show the correct utilization per process. We are also getting incorrect values both for the disk and memory and it always show 0% utilization, what may be the problem for this? We are sure that the monitors' (via telnet/ssh) passwords are correct. Thanks

when i generate all device utilzation report , it does not include some device utilization such as netscreen CPU utilization , netcache proxy , some version of PIX how to fix this problem or how to manually select which array of values is xx utilization thx alot
New Feature Request - Links
In business views, I'd like to see links between devices added to a new device group called "Links" or something similar. We could then have a page of links and their states. Acknowledge versus Clear
Hello, We've noticed in the course of our testing that Acknowledging an issue will not stop the escalation process. Is this intentional, and if so, is it configurable? Some issues take longer to fix than the escalation time, but we dont want to clear the error and just have it pop back up every X minutes. We feel that we should be able to simply Acknowledge the message and that should in-turn stop paging. Is this a configuration option I'm missing? Thanks, Pete

hy everybody, i use OPManager 6 Pro Edition Build 6012 since few days the opmanager windows service "ManageEngine OpManager" crashed, In the wrapper.log file see follow error Connection to the Database is lost. CPU Graph Dial Wrong
Hi there. In the snapshot page of any given server or domain controller, they use different CPU monitoring information to chart the dial graph. On a standard server the CPU dial graph is created using "CPUUSAGE Percentage" which is fine as shown in screenshot "ProcessorTimeRight.JPG". However on a domain controller, it uses "_Total % Processor Time" which is not the same and shows different types of results between servers, some are weird results such as I have attached in the screenshot "ProcessorTimeWrong.JPG"
RepairDB.bat with MSSQL Backend
Hi, I currently have opmanager 6 SP1 installed on a win2003 server with MSSQL 2000 backend data base. After installing the 6012 hotfix, when I logon to the server there is a message saying: "Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server" This RepairDB.bat looks like it works for MySQL installations. What can I do to fix the problem with MSSQL? I have run the RepairDB.bat file and restared the server and this has fixed nothing.
Adding specific monitors
I want to monitor performance of Processor and Disk via the processor queue length and disk queue length. I notice that if I change my server type to Domain Controller I do have a Processor Queue Length (WMI) monitor. 3 questions: 1. Is there a way to add the Processor Queue Length monitor to other types (eg. servers)? 2. Is there a Disk Queue Length monitor (I can't seem to find one)? 3. How do I add other WMI monitors (I can add SNMP ones)? Regards, Craig

I can't seem to monitor ASPX pages using OpManager. I thought I saw somewhere that the latest hotfix (6012) corrected this problem? David.
If SNMP required for Interfaces now?
If my memory serves me correctly, shouldn't you be able to monitor Tx and R x traffic without the need for SNMP? I know for a fact I have done this before, as my previous environment prohibited SNMP service being installed on the servers. Nevertheless, I was still able to set up interfaces to have monitored in Opmanager.
Cisco Tools
It would be nice to have a way to add devices so when you select the drop down for Device Name/IP Address I can select a device that has been added already. For instance I already added almost 90 routers, having these available through the drop down would be nice.

Oputils Bandwidth Monitor
When I try to use the Bandwidth monitor it does not give me any information on some Cisco devices. 2 that I tried are the Cisco Cat 2950 switch and the Cat 3512. And the Colors seem to be off in the graph. On the bottom it has red for out and Green for in, but maybe since they are on top of each other the red is dark green and the in is still the same light green. Thanks, Mark
How to change port 8009 and 8005
Hi, Ports 8009 and 8005 are in conflict with the web interface of "VMware Virtual Center 2.0.x" (based on tomcat). How to change port 8009 and 8005 in Opmanager ? Domain Controllers
Is there any way to keep my domain controllers from going into the domain controller category view? I do not have licensing for the domain controller monitoring, and want my domain controllers to be treated as regular servers. Annoyingly, I have to move them back to the server category frequently. Could you change the program so that if you do not have a license for the domain controller monitoring, it doesn't automatically discover domain controllers and move them? Thanks! Shawn

Ability to set Thresholds in MB?
I have a server with a rather small hard drive. It would be nice if I could set the "critical" threshold in megabytes, but the "clear threshold" level in gigabytes. Any possibility of this? David.
Migrating to Opmanager MSP
We are thinking of replacing all our OpManagers by OpManager MSP. Is it possible to export all the settings from to current Opmanager installations and import them into the OpManager MSP probe?
Scrolling problem in OPM client
Hello, I am unable to scroll the entire bkgrnd image in OPM client when I add one in a business view, however I can access the entire image through webclient. This problem does not allow me to place the devices in areas where I want to. Any help is very welcome. I am using OPM 5.6. Thanks in advance.

Uploaded MIB shows as Undefined in MIB Browser
I uploaded a MIB I downloaded from APC's web site. I uploaded it into OpManager. Now when I select it in the MIB Browser list, it does not show the MIB tree. It only shows the word "undefined". Anyone seen this or have any ideas? Sounds like a problem with the structure of the MIB file.
Can I Monitor active directory logins?
Does anyone know how to monitor when and where active directory user logins are used? I want to see when, where and what my domain admins are logging into. Thanks!
