I work for a very large bank. Because of numerous acquisitions over the past 10 years, we have about 1000 class B licenses. And we don't have a clue how many are still in use today. We do not manage our own network!
What I am wanting to accomplish is two fold: 1. Determine what we really have active. 2. Develop a network map.
Your product looks like it would be very good for the first step. We do not intend for the tech support folks to use the product on a daily basis, it would be used by board members staff once or twice very 6 months. However, the problem I have is entering the targets for ping scans and snmp scans. How would you enter the targets for a scan of 192.168.*.*, short of entering each class C? I can't see entering 256 subnets for each class B. It would take just short of forever!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not see where your product has the ability to draw a network map. Can you recommend a product that can take data from your product and produce a network map good enough to be showing to the board of directors?
