WISH LIST ITEM - New Category - Thermometers for Data Center

We've purchased TCP/IP connected temperature probes to monitor our data center, and a couple of our MDF rooms.

Late Friday night in fact, our airconditioning unit(s) which have no TCP/IP monitoring capability, shut down. (common breaker was tripped).

Opmanager began sending pager notiications after servers had already begun shutting themselves down due to thermal thresholds being exceeded.

As of today, we have TCP/IP connected devices from Tempager, each with 3 temperature probes on them, located in different areas of our Data Center, and Telco Racks in our buildings.

I would like to create a Business View of the temperature probes, with floor plans of our monitored rooms (as a background), with the location of each probe, designated by the placement of each monitor. But in order to accomplish this, I would need to show each monitor as a device, in order to give a viewable aspect of the location of the reported temperatures. The biggest problem is that the same IP is shared by groups of 3 monitors.*

What I have now is 3 devices, each with 3 SNMP monitors of the 3 probes attached to each. Under a Business View I called "Temperature Sensors". I do like that with the SNMP monitor I can see the current temperatures at whatever interval I select. The opmanager monitors will also alert us if the temperature exceeds, our threshold.

In the meantime to opmanager offering a solution to devices like this, I think I need some help to create dummy devices, that will share the same IP, but each consist of a seperate SNMP monitor.

Thank you.. sorry for rambling
