Business Views without notifications
I have different Business View in my system, but the notification that it generates is not reflecting in my Global View. I have the Global View - MEXICO, and 15 states, inside of each state I have 3 or 4 locations, and inside of each location I have 2 departments, and inside of each dept I have between 7 and 15 desktop. For example: Mexico ----> Sonora ----> Hermosillo ----> Garmendia ----> Elements (15 Desktop) If I have some problem inside "Garmendia", this shortcut change the color, so I can see
Oputils - WiFi Manager conflict
I have oputils 4305 and WiFi manager 5500 running on the same server. When I am accessing both via a web browser from a remote client they log each other off. For example, If a WiFi manager browser is open, and I open Oputils, when I go back to wifi manager I need to log in again, then if I go back to oputils I need to log onto that again. This happens immediately, and I have session expiration for both set to never. I think this started occurring with build 4301 in oputils, but I am not sure. Thanks,
OpManager Memory Leak
Hi there, We've been evaluating OpManager for about a week now, and have noticed the RAM usage on the machine it is on increase steadily from around 400Mb at the start of the week to 950Mb 5 days later (it's a 2003 server, with only OM on it). All polling seems to have stopped and we aren't receiving any email notifications of any failed services/devices as a consequence. It's at the latest hotfix version of 6015, Thanks, Paul
Device Ping
I would like to know if there is something in OpManager that can do a simple ping command to a device and then report on whether the device is up or down. If anyone can point me in the right direction much appreciated. Many Thanks.
Build 4303
I upgraded to 4303 last week, and oputils failed to start. Backed out the upgrade, and it worked fine. I saw that 4304 was available, upgraded and now it is free edition only. I tried applying my license, but it says 'please apply a proper license" (but it works OK with 4300 and 4301). Thanks, Gene

Switch Port Mapper
Hi, When using Switch Port Mapper tool with cisco switches, mac address field in obtained scans is empty. Even for mac address statically entered in mac address table of switch. I can only see mac addresses learned on trunk ports. Also, what is the purpose of Search field of Switch Port Mapper tool? For what exactly is this search engine? It would be perfect if there can be entered MAC address and as a result obtained switch and port on which this address is learned. In search should be included
W2k - not reporting free disk on 1 server
I have one server that I cannot get OpManager to report the free disk space... or Used disk space on. When i click Test Monitor it says it came back fine. I have checked the Agent Settings on the server and made sure they were all checked... what could i be missing? in our mixed environment of 2003/2000 this is the only server not too report anything for disk space. memory/HD utilization graph is working fine though.
Install problems... after reading the FAQ
apache keeps shutting down so I found the FAQ and followed the directions about changing the httpd.conf file, the changes were already there. i also followed the part about the libdb.so. the next step was to launch a file called StartWebSvr.sh, i don't have that file anywhere. Why is responsive server marked as unavailable?
Opmanager has marked (for some days now) one of our servers as unavailable, but on the opmanager page for that server it states at the same time that: Device Response Time: 1ms Todays Packet Loss: 0% Also the services the server provides show no interruption. Why does OpManager think the server is unavailable, and how can I convince it otherwise? Another server, with the same configuration as far as I can tell, does not show as unavailable. MTIA Arie

Has anybody successfully used Clickatell as their SMS portal on ServiceDesk? We use it successfully with ServersCheck, but it requires a usernam and login and on SD+ I think we can only supply username/account? Has anyone had success please? Thanks

Not Working: MIB Browser
I am not able to get all the MIB data using OpManager, but am able to access them though other NMS. The specific problem is: I am not able to access MIB table data of most tables. Only get works. Get Next does not go to the next parameter. Some of the parameters are marked "blue" and these are accessible through Get. Please refer the attached file for more details. Parameters marked with "red circle" are accessible though other NMS. Tables with such parameters are not accessible.
Install Error - "Unable to load the Jtds driver"
All, We are trying to load the latest version of OpManager on a server. After entering the SQL (2000) server details and upon clicking Next, we get the error "Unable to load the Jtds driver". What could be causing this? (We checked the information we entered regarding the server is correct.) Thanks for any tips you may have. Thierry

Switch Port Mapper - Hirschmann Switches
Switch port mapper fails to identify the ifname on Hirschmann switches, is there any way I can correct this? Additionally, I would like to be able to omit the optical ports of these switches so that I do not collect information from devices connected via these interfaces. Is there any way I can be selective about which ports are mapped?

Business View Device Font Colour
Just a quick and hopefully easy question regarding Business View, I have searched the options in the MapMaker trying to find a location to change the font colour of the devices or add a background to make them stand out a bit more against the aerial photography that we are using. I have looked through the maps.conf in the conf directory trying to find a fontColor tag or something. This file directed me too look at examplemaps.conf which i could not locate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chris

reconfiguring downtime schedule does not reenable management
I created a downtime schedule in opmanager 6.0, build 6015. Unfortunately, it was for the wrong day (today, 4/5 instead of tomorrow, 4/6). To fix this, I edited the schedule and used the calendar 'date selector' to reset the start and end date of the downtime. This schedule applied to all devices in category "Server." After applying my update, none of my Server devices became "managed." In fact, after stopping/starting the opman Windows services (opman and apache), none of my Server devices were
View Network Status - "Guest"
Tried searching for this and could not find anything. So, my question is, I have OpManager and our IT manager would like other IT people (non technicians) to be able to go to a web site and see a network status without having to log in. Basically, it's similiar in scope to Whats Up Gold's "Guest" account. Which would probably be OK, but I'd rather be able to post elements from the OpManager home page onto our intranet (like categories and whats in alarm status). Is any or all of this currently possible?

I have tried using both the V1 and V2c options and the program wont even let me add a single interface yet I can see the list of interfaces on my router. Site 24x7 Integration into OpManager 6.
Compared to Site 24x7's url monitoring, OpManager 6 is primitive. What's the chance that the Site24x7 code base could be integrated into OpManager? It would be great to have this sort of functionality - including the recorder built right into OpManager, especially since Site24x7 can become prohibitively expensive if you have a large number of pages you need to check. Not able to see Logidal Disk Drive on Server
I can see the total disk utilization but however, not each individual drive. Is it something I need to set further? I tried the MIS Browser, it shows all the drives. Please help me. Thank you!
