Servers listed more than once in CPU Utilization report
I have version 7 and I'm monitoring 7 Windows 2003 sp1 servers. The cpu Utilization report shows each server more that once with different stats for each time it is shown. I'm using WMI monitors. Build 7023 unable to load F5-BIGIP-LOCAL-MIB (445KB)
Dear Support, I have just upgraded to build 7023 and the mib browser is not able to load F5-BIGIP-LOCAL-MIB anymore. IE will produce the error "Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing IE to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive" and the mib browser window will show "undefined" without any OID. There is no problem when I was using the previous build 7010. I suspect the problem lies with the build 7023 limitation of loading large mib filesize.
Problem in login OP Manager
Hi, I have downloaded OP manager 7 demo for 10 devices and able to work on it for couple of days now the problem is occurring when i am trying to login through web to op manager.I am getting the below error when i do login. asp net process monitor
This is the main issue we are having, and why we are looking to WildMetrix as a possible solution. We have several web-based ASP.NET applications running on our server (they are all web based apps that use IIS). One or more of these apps is causing the CPU to deadlock. Migrating from 6 to 7 rediscovers ports and adds thresholds
I have about 300 devices (AP, routers, switches) and after migrating to the latest version (including the last hotfix) the new version automatically rediscovers ports, adds discards threshold and so I receive thousands of e-mails. I don't want to go one by one and reconfigure each device again. I have some desired ports configured in each device, it's totally messed up. I also receive loads of e-mails from 1.0% thresholds i have never configured :( Is there any way to fix it?
All Servers Disk Usage Report Not Running
Hello, I'm currently running OpMgr 6.0 Build 6010. When attemtping to run "All Servers Disk Usage Report" (partition wise disk usage report for all servers), I get the error: " No Data Available Click here for troubleshooting tips. " Yet, when I check each individual server, I'm seeing all the disk partition details. I tested a few servers by clicking the edit button next to "Partition Details of the Device (%)", then "test monitor". They're all responding just fine. Monitor A Process And What Are WMI Monitors?
Two questions: 1.) Is it possible to monitor a process running on a windows 2003 server. We have an application that runs and I simply want to make sure the process is running. Unable to add snmp monitors
Opmanager build 7004 on CentOS 4 I am not able to add the SNMP performance monitors to one of my servers. I know that SNMP is working on the server because I had these monitors added once. I have others servers that I have been able to set-up these monitors without problems. When I try to added a monitor, like Free Disk Space in GB, it is already selected in the add monitors screen but I do not see it in the Performance Monitors section. More Advanced Telnet Monitoring?
Hi, we have some servers which we'd like to monitor via telnet, however when they crash they can still be pinged, as well as connected to via telnet. The only difference is that when they've crashed, the telnet connection brings up a blank screen - no login prompt is displayed. Is there any chance the telnet (and I guess SSH, by extension?) can be extended to be like the URL monitor, so that it looks for text returned by the connection?
routers and switch availability problem.
opmanager seems to be mistakenly identifying that some of my routers and switches are down. only some, not all. it happens to the same router and switches. i routers and switches are up and working but opmanager seems to set of an alarm and detect that its down. so how do i rectify this? thanks.

Monitor Switches and PC's
If I have a switch that only uses 1 port, and that port is running I don't want to be notified that the other 23 are not being used. I would rather not un-manage those other ports because something may be plugged into that switch later and then I have to remember to put the monitor back on for that port. Thanks for any help. Monitor Retries
Is there any plans to implement a function that makes it possible to configure the number of retries a monitor in a device can fail before its considered as down? Or is it possible in some way already? That would decrease the number of false alarms drastically. Thanks in advance Regards /Johan
Notification Profiles
I created a notification profile under the "Run System Command" option. The command calls an .exe I made that sends out an email: C:\send_email\send_email.exe There are 2 check boxes under the command string that say Err Append and Append. What are they for? I thought they would append the error as a command line parameter. Well my program reads in any command line parameters but it is getting nothing. Can someone please tell me how to get the error message appended to my command string. Thanks.

No charts with MSSQL database
Hello, today I installed OpManager 7023 on a new machine (Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2) with MSSQL 2005 Enterprise SP2. But I can see no charts in Overview, Network and Servers. If I switch to mysql database all charts are displayed fine. If I switch back to MSSQL 2005 the charts are missing. Thanks in advance, Marco

Device not adding into central server
Hi there I seem to have a problem where a device I added (Astaro Firewall - Linux) is not discovered on the Central server but is on the probe server. I don't seem to have any other problems with other devices from this probe. I did however had to rebuild this probe as I had problems withthe Apache web server. the probe was running fine until the web server could not start. Could there be a possibilty of exisitng entries in the central database for the firewall device.
Cannot change IP address of any Cisco PIXs
I am having the worst trouble changing the IP address of a Cisco PIX device I manage. We were having this trouble with the 6010 build so I upgraded us to 7023 and it still does not take. The issue is the Cisco PIX firewalls we manage. The PIXs have an IP address on their outside interface that we monitor. Occasionally that IP address will change so I have to go into OpManager to make the change. When I edit the IP address, the change will appear to have taken place and all looks well until the device
MSSQL - Performance monitor not polling or seeing databases
I am running MS SQL 2005 Enterprise on a Windows Server 2003 cluster. SQL is configured on Port 1280 which is NOT standard port, I wonder if this has anything to do with my problem ? MSSQL Database Monitor Threshholds
Hi Folks, I have a MSSQL server with several databases, which range in size. I need to know for example if my TempDB grows to beyond 1GB from it's usual level of below 10mb, whereas my main DB is 25GB and obviously a 1GB threshold would produce a constant alarm. Data in Database
If I remove a device from Opmanager and then readd it at a later time does it retain the historical data that it previously collected Also if I had to rebuid a probe server would I lose all data that was previosly collected for the devices that it had discovered on the probe.
Erroneous Link Performance Counters
We are having some issue with the way utilization levels and error rates are calculated/reported. We frequently get alerts for high utilization on 1 Mb links between facilities, but when I check, the actual level is much lower. The attached PDF shows OpManager reporting utilization over 1 Gb in one direction and over 8 Gb in the other even though the interface is only capable of 1 Gb. Have you seen problems like this and is there a way to correct? Thanks.

Bandwidth monitor doesn't display utilization correctly
Hi, In trying your product, I found that the utilization percentage is not being displayed correctly due to the fact that although the interface is a gigabit interface, it's only a true T1 connection. Hi I have installed OPManager on a laptop, it was working find but slow. I tryed to install it on a Dell PE1750 and got "Severe Unpacking Failed" I tryed downloading the program again but sill the same error.
Hotfix Released- Build 7023
Dear Users, We are glad to announce the Hotfix for version 7 (i.e 7023). This can be applied on OpManager with Build 7010 or higher. We request all users to upgrade to 7 and then apply the HotFix. The fixes that went for this release are, 1. Removed the physical, virtual memory, A drive details in the Disk Partition monitors. 2. Threshold Consecutive Times is not getting applied during device discovery for all the monitors. 3. Configured Threshold Values not getting applied for newly discovered device.
Ability to edit accounts in full
Currently once you have created an account you can no longer edit its access rights. Is this right, or am I missing something? Is this going to be improved, as right now a total reissuing of accounts is a little clunky.

Customize availability reports
Is there a way to generate availability report within a specified time range only? currently we are only able to get 8am to 8pm.. is there a way to make this more customizable? Thanks
