Limit Event Log Email Notification

Limit Event Log Email Notification

I have an email sent to me when any server gets a certain event log. If a server get 50 of these in succession I get 50 emails. Is there any way to limit this - eg if an event occurs n times in x mintes then stop sending email notifications.
