Hi, I have problems with one device. I deleted it and created, the device not is in the server map. Any ideas?
Process for Removing a Probe
I am trying to remove an OP-Manager probe from a system. I ran the uninstall from the remove programs. However, the Advent Net Directory and several files remain and when I try to remove them manually, Windows tells me that the files are being used by another program. How can I delete these files, get rid of any traces of the probe? Thanks, Brandon SIGMAnet

Business Snapshot With Short Cuts
I have 2 business snapshots and each has a shortcut to the other on the map. The one snapshot was down causing both snapshots to show as down because the shortcut on the snapshot that was up had its shortcut showing down. That makes all the sense in the world. The snapshot that was down came back up, everything on the map is green but the shortcuts on the 2 maps still show as down. When if ever does this refresh?
Memory Utilization
Hello i don't understand how to indicate the Memory Utilization. For example we have different Servers with a high Memory Utilization displayed in OpManager. But when we analyse the Server with the standard Performance Tool from Microsoft, then we don't get the same picture. What's the difference?

Binding OpManager port to IP address for SNMP traps
Hi, We have installed OpManager Pro, build 7023 on a server. The server is also running Dell OpenManage IT Assistant. Both OpManager and IT Assistant listen to port 162 for SNMP traps, so when starting OpenManager from command line StartOpManagerServer.bat it produces an error about SNMP traps port. It is possible to change the bind OpManager to a different IP address for SNMP traps, so both could listen to SNMP traps, but on different IP addresses. Regards. John.
Alert System Up (critical ???)
Many of our systems send an Alert System up trap every so often, or on server reboot. That is no problem, BUT it comes up as a critical error. Is there any way of changing this so it doesn't look like an error that needs attention. I am happy that it is up, not sad.
OPManager Interface Graphs Pictures not displayed sometimes
We use OPManager 7023 with a few cisco firewalls. But we can only see the Interface traffic Image sometimes. In most cases the image is missing and a red cross is displayed (see attachment). We deleted and readded the firewalls several times but it is always the same. Sometimes you can see the traffic interafce graph and a few hours later it doesn't work. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have OpManager V7 - Hotfix 7023 in operation. The problem has existed since V7. I can not URL-Monitor add. At press Ok or CheckNow nothing happens and Internet Explorer displays a message (see attachment). The same on another browser. I use the OpManager in German. Cant monitor a Fedora machine
Dear all, I installed Opmanager in a Windows 2000 machine and try to monitor another machine. However, it cannot get those utilitization information for it (But it can get those utilities information from Windows machine). Actually, it show the snmp star in that machine. I did install snmpd in that linux machine. It's running and open the port for it by the firewall (tried to turn off the firewall either). Anyone can help me?

I am currently running OpManager 7.0, build 7021. OpManager has stopped showing any data under the Servers tab for Top-N CPU utilization, Top-N Memory Utilization, and Top-N Disk utilization.

Hi all, I have a setup running with OpManager 7010 and some devices. Now a question rises up: Scenario given: Internet cloud - Router - Server behind Router The Server is configured to send an alarm, if poll is missed 3 times. Also the dependency lies on the Router. This setup is working fine. The only problem is, if the Router is down, the Server doesn�t send it�s typical "Down" message (which is ok), but the URL and service monitor does! possible false Error rate alarms on iterfaces
Hi, I'm getting some strange behaviour with error rate alarms. OpManager keeps reporting that some of our routers have an error rate of 100%, yet when I look into the stats of the interface, there is no errors of this magnitude. Any idea why it is reporting these, when it desn't seem to record anything matching in the DB? I have highlighted the Max error rate recorded of 0.14. See attached screen shots. Thanks, Tom
Creating a new device template with a new vendor
I've just created a new device template for an Ironport C100 appliance. All went well until after I submitted. I then realised that it did not save the new vendor I created (I did hit save after entering the vendor name) - it defaulted back to 3Com. I now can't delete the device template, nor can I edit the vendor. Help!

Earlier on today, I upgraded from Build No. 6003 to 7023 and in the 'About' screen it says that we have access to the MSSQL Monitoring till Wednesday 19th December 2007. Where can I find documenation on how to customize the graphs showing on the snapshot page? I want to change the Disk Utilization to have a separate graph for each partition. Different servers will have different partitions.

Are there any plans for opmanager to integrate with third-party PSA tools such as Connectwise or Autotask? Many other MSP platforms already integrate, and this would add the ability for MSPs to better manage their customers.
starting client
I have installed opManager on two machines. One is a xp x64 which there were absolutlely no problems. It load up and works perfect. The problem is that the xp pro i loaded it on has some real issues. First off the server shows started in the service panel, but the client won't start. Either it shows the page is unavailable (error 404) or it shows a certificate error then the 404 error. I can work around all this by physically going to the \bin file starting the server which shows up in the command
Cannot start OpManger on Sbs 2003
I've installed OpManager trial version on Windows Small Business Server 2003, using MySQL and running OpManager as a service but when I try to open the shortcut that is created on the desktop I get the following error: WebServer port xxx is occupied. Change the port by executing bin/ChangeWebServer script. I tried changing the port but I still get the same error. When I try to access OpManager with IE I get an Internal Server error 500. Any ideas on what I could of missed or need to do next? Thanks
