Stops Monitoring some devices
Hi, I am still in 8812 version and would like to understand if the below problems was notified before and if there is any enhancement in 9200. From time to time some devices (all kind of devices: Routers, Switches, Servers, UPS, etc.) are not monitored anymore. Looking on the device snapshot page the only monitor working is the availability one. All other show N/A. Not getting Event Logs
I thought I had followed your instructions for getting Event Logs from my W2k8 servers, but there are none. I used the Quick Configuration Wizard to associate my servers with the event log rules. I've forced errors into a few servers, waited for the post to cycle & there are still no event logs in OpManager. Is there some special smoke & mirror technique for getting these from W2k8 servers? Do I need to do anything to the event Log Rules, or can I use them as they are? What type of Windows account
Unable to fetch Requests from ServiceDeskPlus through OpManager
I have Integrated OpManager with ServiceDesk Plus. but there is a problem. In The Server Details while I click on the Device Info's Options for the "Asset Details" , "Installed Software" and "Active Process" the information will be given too me but for the rest of them like "Hardware Details" , "Audit History" , "Requests" and "attached assets" it won't give me any data and shows the below message: Unable to fetch Requests from ServiceDeskPlus. OPManager: Restore of config files
Hi, We are running OPmanager 9, build 9200. On a test probe, i have played a bit around backup/restore to a new probe. For the database this works fine. Using mysql. The question is regarding the configuration of the probe. Under the bin/backup folder i find a BackupConfFiles.bat file, but no RestoreConfFiles.bat. How am i suppose to restore the zip file generated by the BackupConfFiles.bat? Regards, Svein
HardDrive Health Monitor
Hi, Does OpManager8 monitor the health of the hardware s? There are 12 RIAD Hard Drives which I want them to be monitored by the OpManager and any time that One of them got problem or for example burnt it alerts me about that hard drive, I dont want to be alert just the time that the system is up or down. Need to change OID for a check
Currently we have a check for a Cisco ASA 5500 Series for Firewall CPU Utilization. Currently the SNMP OID is : .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1 by default The check it is coming back with is; "Firewall CPU Utilization is 4294962%, threshold value for this monitor is 60%" We have identified that the correct OID for this is actually 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.8 What is the best way to change the OID for the check on this device?
Average disk per second needs answer to .000 vs. integer that is currently reporting
Anyone know how to get this counter and other like it to report up to 3 decimals? Avg. Disk sec/Read.7 D: WMI Avg. Disk sec/Read is the average time, in seconds, of a read of data from the disk. I am getting an integer (0) for everything, testing successful. Perfmon reveals it averages 0.003 Thanks in advance.
Configuring MIB for application
Hi All, I would like to receive SNMP traps from an external application. I have copied the MIB files to the /mibs folder. In Opmanager, under Admin > SNMP Trap Processor > Action > Load From Mibs. I have loaded the MIBs. What do i need to do next? Do I need to associate the MIBs to the server? Thanks.

OpManager broadcasts causing FW alerts
I have OpManager with the NFA plugin (Build 7400 {SP-7.0+SP-1.0+SP-2.0+SP-4.0}. I have noticed in my FW logs a lot of warnings and I've traced them down, done a packet capture and found that OpManager is blasting broadcast messages at an alarming rate (in the below example, in less than one minute, 112 were generated and of those only 4 were not from OpManager) 1: 13:39:26.091044 10.1.0.43.137 > 10.1.0.255.137: udp 50 Drop-reason: (sp-security-failed) Slowpath security checks failed 2: 13:39:26.840822
Web Alarm doesn't work for CCTV view
We have OpManager CCTV view running on a big widescreen TV in the middle of our office, would be great if we can have the web alarm sound from the tv. I've noticed the Web Alarm displays in the top menu, however in CCTV view the top menu is not displayed so there is no Web Alarm. Is there a work around?
Problem List
For some reason it didn't post my last topic so might be a risk of double posting! This is my first time with OpsManager and here's a list of problems I'm experiencing with the product. switch port mapper
In the switch port mapper i have a cisco 3750g 24+4 switch. The switch port mapper program lists an ifName Po1 and ifDescr Port-channel1 of 2 of the ports that are combined for a "port-channel" however the switch port mapper does not list the actual ports that are part of that port-channel1.. for example the list has information on GigabitEthernet1/0/26 and 1/0/28 but does not list the GiabitEthernet1/0/25 and 1/0/27 interfaces that are part of the "port-channel" Can both of the information be listed.

On OPM's IPAM plug-in, how can I know which IPs are designated by DHCP and which are the Fixed?
How can I have the report that like (picture ipam.png) How OpManager distinguish that which IP is the Fixed or not? Since there are too many IPs got mixed together, I cannot manually designate the fixed IPs(Reserved IP). Or at least a similar query for reports would be great. Reports should have the * IP List with reserved or not mark * ipam.png like table.

Probes not receiving template updates
If I make changes to a template from the central server and then send this to my two probes, one of them never reflects the changes. I have a probe in another site and it just won't take any modifications at all yet the local one does. Any ideas?

OpUtils problems (bugs?) and suggestions
I'm having a couple of problems with OpUtils. 1) In the Network Monitor, the "Alias Name" of several switches I am monitoring keeps reverting back to "Not Defined." I have clicked on the name and set it many times and it stays set for an undetermined amount of time, but always eventually (within a day? an hour?) goes back to "Not Defined." I currently have 45 devices I'm monitoring, and I have set Alias Names for all of them, but only those same 4 or 5 devices keep reverting back to "Not Defined."

Device Template for APC InfrastructureX

VM Memory Monitors
I seem to be getting differing memory utlization between the memory monitors on a VM. I've got a 2008 template that is applied to both Physical and Virtual boxes and it includes the memory utilization monitor. The problem I'm seeing is that on a VM the performance monitor is showing a significantly higher value than the VM performance monitor, and as a result is triggering alarms. Any one know why?
OPManager suite problem
Hello. We have a ticket id#4485667 and we don't have any kind of feedback about it. We tried to report that issue by telephone but we don't have any answer. The problem is that sometimes suddenly the communication with the server is lost, but my client said that he only have the issue with the OPManager application, and another network applications doesn't have any kind of problems. Hello all, I'm configuring one thermometer here on my opmanager. I' ve already did the import of the MIB and i did the creation of Temperature monitor. When i try to test the temperature and humidity monitor, they give me the right values. But is there a way to put the Temperature in the Snapshot Screen? I can only know the temperature when i test the monitor. Is there a way to do this?

Group devices by geographic location
Hi there, I'd like to be able to list my devices (irrespective of whether they're routers, switches, firewalls or servers) by geographic location. for example, I'd like to be able to list all devices in London, or Sweden. How would I do this? If I edit the device, I see that I can add a City or building name, but how do I then use this device propery to create that list or group? Thanks Olly
Change virtual device category
Hi If I have imported a Vmware ESX host with mulitple VM's, it doesnt appear possible to move a few VM's to a different category. ie I can't move some servers to a new Web Servers category. Is the only way round this to delete the specifc servers, and then re-import them as standard servers? We want to create new categories and add servers to the appropriate ones. such as Exchange, SQL, IIS, Oracle. That way we can push server specific monitor easily to similar server groups. Any assistance
How to delete Category?
I would like to delete some unused categories from OpManager. I can't remove built-in categories, and what's worse, deleting manually created categories also doesn't work.

OpManager - SDP integration.
Hi, currently I made that OpManager to make the ticket for ServiceDesk Plus. However, when ticket is made for SDP, that ticket does not have the asset information. So, when I go to the Assets tab and choose the asset to see the history or related request, there is nothing to see which requests were associated to this asset. Unless the technicians select the asset to corresponding request manually, it would be hard to find the asset - request / problem / change association. Can you help me how
Disk utilization incorrect
Good Morning, I just recently upgrade to version 9011 and have has some issues with monitoring since. Our production SQL servers are being reported as using 100% disk utilization for the system, however its closer to 48%. This server has about 15 LUNs attached, none of which are near that number. Has anyone else had this problem?
