Url response time peaks
I got a question about peaks that i got from the Url monitor From location A and location B we got the same peaks to the Hosting site C. This peaks comes at unregulated times but at least 5-10 times a day. Exactly what is the url response time and thats the measure? What can cause this peaks? cant find anything directly inside in the servers (like windows update and so on). Something must be wrong or is it normal and i need help to figure out where to start troubleshooting. Is there any good tool
OpManager: strange process CPU usage (over 100%)

installing opmanager on SQL
HI I'm trying to move my Opmanager from MySQL to a MMSQL server. But I'm getting the error as below. I've created the Database and made a SQL user for Opmanager. The database is in SQL 2000 mode. Any one that can help?
Bulk Rediscover VMs
Is there a way to rediscover my VMs in bulk? When I added my ESX hosts it automatically discovered all the VMs but assigned their template as 'Windows' instead of the one relevant to the OS. Is there anyway for me to get them to rediscover?

Permissions to monitor exchange 2010
We're running OpManager 9200 and would like to being monitoring Exchange 2010. The service account we use for OpManager/WMI is a member of the domain admins group but some items we want to monitor are showing up as N/A. Are there exchange permissions we need correctly monitor the server(s)? OpManager on Server 2008 R2?
Has anyone installed OpManager on Windows Server 2008 R2? And since R2 is only 64-bit that would imply that it also works on 64-bit OS? I know from an earlier post that x64 is not officially supported by OpManager, but I found an old post seeming to indicate that it had indeed been tested and shown to work on x64 OS. Thanks. Dan
error msg while mapping layer 2 topology map
I am using opmanager 9000 version, when I first map the network it worked fine but now when I am clicking on "layer 2 topology map" tab under "map", only a page displaying "error" is coming up. Please help.
Network/Server device discovery
Hi, Is it possible for OpManager to perform a scheduled network discovery on specific IP subnets so that new servers and VM's created within out Active Directory domain are imported automatically. This is a very important feature for us which our previous alerting product had. Thanks Nick

Adding a custom widget to dashboard (To do list)
Hi, We have a monitor setup which shows the OpManager Dashboard at all work times. An idea came up to put team work "to do" items for the week on a widget on the same screen so that the IT team can view the items that were to be due in or being worked on. Is there a facility to put this up on the dashboard in some way? Thanks.
Problems running backupdb.bat
I'm trying to update Opmanager 8 build 8002 to the latest version. As part of that process, I'm running BackupDB.bat. But I'm getting an error (below). I've run RepairDB.bat but that hasn't helped. I saw a suggestion to start the service after the repair to fix a similar issue. So I ran RepairDB.bat, started up the Opmanager service, shut it down and tried the backup and still get the error. Any help is appreciated. com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'opmanagerdb.ifraw_2011_04_16_24'
Widget Error
Hi, I'm using OpManager 8, build 8720. The dashboards don't work since upgrading to this version. I get an error: "Error occurred while generating widget." I tried uninstalling OpManager, reinstalling and restoring the data from backup but that didn't help. The Server is Windows 2003 Std. SP2. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Tom

VmWare Monitoring Appliance
I have installed the Free VmWare Monitoring Appliance on my home netwerk with less than 25 devices. Now everything is working fine but at the top of web portal it reads OpManager license will expire in x days and is counting down. What do I need to do in order to keep my free version running? Is there any licencing I have to do?
cannot see Domain Controller in the list
Dear all There is a problem that I have. I have 2 DC which i Scanned them In Dashboard-->Overviews it shows me that there are 2 Domain Controllers but while I click on it ,it goes on a page which gives me this message " No Infra Structure View found with this name." and there is no other settings to configure. I can see them from other parts like while there is an alarm about them it directly takes me to the Snapshot-->device details page but there is no direct way like other devices to see the details.

Incorrect VLAN ID on Juniper switch
Eval version of OpUtils 6. As shown in attachment, the incorrect vlan id is shown. For example, interface ge-0/0/0 is on vlan 38 (as seen in vlan name field), but vlan ID incorrectly shows '6'. This is a Juniper EX3300-40P switch.
Cannot create layer 2 topology map with Juniper switch as seed device
Currently evaluating OpManager. Added switches and trying to create layer 2 map. Choose core switch as seed device, which is a Juniper EX4500-40F running JunOS 11.4R1.6. Map is not created saying no links discovered. Also tried another Juniper EX4500-40F core switch at another network site. This time core switch was added, but no other attched devices were discovered. At both sites LLDP is enabled. Attached switches are Juniper EX and Nortel/Avaya 5500 series switches.
Importing historical data from a 3rd party source
Hello, I would like to import some data into OpManager that is currently unrelated to any performance monitor already in my installation. The data comes from a script I use to monitor, in this case, stats from Apache webservers. I know I can add the script to OpManager and start collecting data like that, but I would also like to import the historical data over the past few years that I've already collected, so I can have nice graphs and a centralized location for the data. Is this possible? Thank
Disable Alarms in OpManager
Dear all There are lots of alarms for my devices which make the status of device to "trouble" and those alarms are not really necessary to follow step by step. and most of the time the message is something like "Interface 'FastEthernet0/21-Fa0/21' is down.or Interface 'FastEthernet0/21-Fa0/21' is up" I dont want these alarms come every minute in the alarm page. How can I disable or customize the settings for alarms. because with each of these messages the status of device goes from clear to trouble
OpManager URL Monitor is not recognizing multiple parameters query
Hey, I'm trying to configure an URL monitor that has multiple parameters (3, to be exact) but from what I've seen the querystring only takes into account the first one, ignoring the rest. Example URL: https://api.example.com/api/command Example Parameters: username=UserAR password=PassAR cmd=CREDS If I test it like this, the webservice returns a "need password", so I thought maybe it's authentication. CLI Problem of Printers

Some Historical graphs missing data
Hi, Since moving to build 9200 we've run into a couple of issues which have required a restart of the OpManager process. The last restart being on the 3rd of September. The service looks to be stable at the moment which means we receive SNMP traps from devices and OpManager sends email alerts for SNMP traps (node up/down, etc). However, while OpManager will create graphs for cpu, memory usage, etc., it is not writing this information to the "7 day" and "30 day" graphs. I can view this information

Autofill Login
Yet another problem in my 2 days of trying OpManager/Netflow. Why are they automatically loging in with the "admin/admin". Both OpManager and NetFlow. I changed the password for the admin user and no matter what the login page is stuck in an infinite loop of trying to autofill/login as admin/admin.
NetFlow Plugin "Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted"
Trialing OPManager/NetFlow Plug-in and well.. Not a good start. First of all OpManager can't install to an existing DB, but must create it itself. Worked out around that. Now trying to install the NetFlow plugin, everytime after install I get stuck with the "Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry. Run RepairDB.bat ..........." Well RepairDB.bat does nothing of use. Thinking the NetFlow plugin had a fit due to me using a different SQL Database than the installed one, I started fresh.

Hi, I would like to exclude OpManager from triggering alarm by putting some "matching text" in SysLog monitor. So i need some help on Regex to exclude certain words / string from the syslog messages. E.g: Invalid response packet from host - LINE 1 This is testing message - LINE2 How do i exclude "Invalid response packet" from triggering alarm? From the example given in help card, i can do ^(?!.*Invalid).*$ but i want it match "Invalid response packet" After that, how do i exclude "testing message"

Interface status down after i select interface to monitor Bandwidth
After i have select interface for monitor bandwidth when i change to main page of bandwidth monitor it have show all interface that i select.All interface on this page show status down. IP Address Manager
Ive created custom colums in order to identify certain things in a IP/Host over a subnet. For example, username, date, hostname.. After next subnet scan this fields goes empty every single time, and after some researching we have found that the host IP is being removed and rediscovered each time. Why is this happening? OpMgr stop collecting data on Linux after server rebooted

OpManager SQL DB Creation
While installing OpManager you are given the choice to use a MS SQL backend. Unfortunately, the installer won't allow you to use a pre-created database. It has to create the DB itself. The default created database uses terrible initial size and autogrowth settings. I don't want Manage Engine to tell me what use here. How can I pre-create the database and just let the installer populate the tables without having to let it do the actual DB creation?
After upgrade to 9200, "Consecutive times" no longer respected for threshold alarms
We've got most of our alarms set to go off after threshold is violated 5 or 6 times in a row. After update to 9200, alarms get activated after threshold is breached JUST 1 TIME.... This is generating a lot of false alarms for us!
Opmanager time problems in reports
I am running OPManager in my environment but I am having a time problem. My System on which I have install OPManager is having a correct time in PST. but OPManager is showing its time in ACT. Kindly guide me how to change or edit the date and time settings in OPManager. Treat it as urgent because it is directly reflecting my uptime reports. please see the attached file of time problem as i need PST time Waiting for your urgent and positive response.
Memory Dial problem
Hi, I'm configuring the switches and it has the problem. The Memory of switch dial is showing wrong number. As you see, SNMP value is 49% but dial is showing 12%. Is there any way to solve this problem? Thank you in advance.
