IP-Address resolution fails when client uses DHCP
I have some network-printers which use DHCP to get an IP-address. I discovered the printers and OPManager stores them in the database. whenever one of these printers is switched off nad on again, it gets another IP-address from the DHCP-server. But OPManager still uses the old IP-Address to ping the printer. So it does not respond to this address and OPManager thinks the device is down. When I manually ping the printer with OPManager, it responds immediately. So it seems, that the monitoring is done
RPC server is unavailable
Hi there, I have a server running windows 2000 SP4. From Opmanager (the same subnet with server), I could not wbemtest to that server, no matter I use the local administrator account or domain administrator account. Daily mail with diskusage % of our fileservers
Hello, We are using OpManager 6.0 build 6016, and I am looking for a way to have an e-mail sent each morning, reporting me the diskspace usage from our fileservers. These servers are Novell Netware machines. I already got the monitor running, and I also tried to get an alert running that mails me when the disk usage is over 50%. Since the disks are always >75% filled, I thought this might be a way to get me informed about the disk usage at that point. But it only mails once when that limit is exceeded,

right i am currently running a central op sever and on probe except the probe is a vmware OS is this possible because the probe installs fine but when it boots up it gets stuck on verify web server what does this mean it wont load up past this point we do run a IIS service
Solaris Disk Utilization
I have two Solaris 9 servers, which opmanager 7 reports the disk utilization of one server at the correct level and the other server is at 100%. They are both at the same OS patch level and they are running the same snmpd.conf files and the same version of net-snmp. Any suggestions?
Problems showing some pictures
Availability Distribution and Average Availability as example are not showed on the webbrowser. It is just a "red cross" there (like other pictures not showed on websites). I've tested it with different clients. Any clues how to solve thsi problem? Mike Affolter

Unable to Start OpManager as a Service
I located a copy of OpManager 6.0 on one of our servers and deleted the installation with the intention of a fresh start. Now after deleteing OpManager I get a constant error that port 80 is already in use (its not that we can find) and that OpManager cannot start as a service.
HP-UX servers problem
Hi, I have recently added true 64 servers to my opmanager7, when i click on the server from server list it opens a page that does not show the graphs of the memory and cpu and disk (that are similar to the clock), but when i click on CPU or Memory or Disk from the performance monitor i see the graph, so how i can configure it to show the graphs?
OpManager 7 -- changing alert level
I set up a threshold alert for disk space on a server. By mistake I left the level of the alert as attention. The alert was triggered, and I realised it should be at the 'Trouble' level. I deleted the alarm, and changed the threshold on the server to create a 'Trouble' alarm. However, no matter what I do the alarm comes back as 'attention'. How do I change the alarm level!
Opmanager 7 -- alert escalation
It appears that 'Attention' alarms can not be escalated. An alarm escalation can be set to run at a given number of minutes. However, that number is only 2 digits -- up to 99 minutes. I would like to escalate "attention' items that are over 24 hours old, and run that escalation once a day. Is there any way to do this?

All Disk Usage Report Shows RAM.
Starting with OpManager 7004 my disk usage PDF reports are now showing virtual/physical memory as part of the report. Obviously, they shouldn't be as this is not a disk drive - its RAM/disk cache. David.
OpManager 6 Errors
Hi All, We have been running OpManager version 6 for a number of months now and are very pleased with both the product and the level of support we receive. Having a few issues fixed now by the forums and the help desk I thought I would also post this problem as well. OpManager 6 service crashes daily
Hello, We use the most recent update OpManager 6. since 4 months, our OpManager service crashes everyday. The time differs every day, but mostly in the night. In the Windows Eventlog, it only tells me that the OPManager services (both!) stopped unexpectly --> The ManageEngine OpManager service entered the stopped state. The ManageEngineOpManagerApache service entered the stopped state. By manually restarting the service (from Services.msc ), OpManager continues to run (for 16 hours or so...). I suspect
Windows 2003 R2 64 bit network auto discovery fails

How to add network devices to Inventory SnapShot (license bought). Devices don't appear on "Hardware : Assets By Manufacturer" but ... some of them appears in "Software : Assets By OS". How to force in order to add devices to Inventory SnapShot? Short info: OpManager MSP Edition 6004 version. Device licensed - unlimited. Never expires. SNMP works correctly om each device.

Downtime Schedule
If you setup an "downtime schedule" for a group of devices (IE; Destops) where you do not want to be notifed during the evening hours, but do want to be notified during the day. This is wonderful except when you go in and take the time to disable those devices you do not want pinged, but you do want statisitics on, it puts all of those back to be monitored as well once the schedule time has passed. Alerting on Monitors not responding
Currently there is NO WAY to know if a resource that is being checked is actually responding. If a resource monitor, or any other monitor, is set to poll at certain intervals and gets no data back I think an alert should be generated. For instance, we did a mail server upgrade last week and I just noticed today that the cpu, memory, and disk were not being graphed. I testing currently the MSP Ed. After a couple of Days I lost on several Servers the WMI Based Resource Monitors like Processor, Memory and Disk capacity. only see 2 port instead of all on cisco 800
Hello, When i set snmp on a cisco 800 series, and i rediscover the device i only see 2 ports. when i rediscover the interfaces on the device i see all the ports, but in the router view i only see the 2 ports that where discovered on the first time. in the detailed view i see all the interfaces. what could be the problem? regards sjoerd
Problem when running a Discovery on a subnet Version 7
Hi all, when I run the discovery for a complate subnet range, Opmanager just does nothing for hours, however when I do it for address range less then 20 it working fine. Is that a limitation of the demo version ?, I have not seen it documented anywhere.

hi, I have Opmanager7 (7004), and I'm struggling to use this application as a stable environment for monitoring my infrastructure. Can you please help? I have SNMP on my devices on my network. huge log files in apache folder
Hello, i have three huge log files in the apache folder named: access_log 1,7GB ssl_request_log 1,8 GB error_log 3,8GB the are stored in the following folder: C:\Program Files\AdventNet\ME\Central\apache\logs can i delete them or on any other way shrink them to a normal size. regards Sjoerd

Our Opmanager 6 database is about 20G now, still using Mysql. Can anyone tell me how to drop the databases but keep all the configuration and the business view setup? Thanks.

I see there is a Linux probe for Opmanager v7 but is there a Windows probe? I thought I remembered having the option a few months back when I was testing v6. As a general rule, we don't install SNMP on our servers and not everything is getting discovered with WMI alone! Thanks. Alan
