How to remove ServicDesk Plus reference in OPmanager
Hi, I've tested ServiceDesk Plus with OPManager and I set ServiceDesk Plus server in Opmanager, now I stopped ServiceDesk Plus and I would like to remove this reference in OPManager but I didn't find any way to remove that. Monitoring Solaris and AIX
I already configure our Solaris and AIX servers SNMP configuration and tested it by OPManager7 and it passed the test procedure. Why it cannot get data from the servers eventhough SNMP configuration is already OK. When I configure its CLI parameters ant test it OK also. It can now get data from the servers. Then i removed again the CLI config and it cannot get data. Selection for the parameters are OK (by SNMP or CLI). Why it cannot get data using SNMP only. Is OP7 can only get data from those machines

Hello! My problem is as follows: I am monitoring a VM (Virtual Machine) server and all of its VM clients on it. I set the field "Dependency" at all VM clients with the VM server. Last weekend the server wasn't available for some time. The "today's availability" of the clients was shown red (shut down). Until now all works fine. That was four days ago. Now two of the clients are still monitored as "shut down" in "today's availability", but they get all other snmp data like Disk Utilization, CPU Utilization

Problem adding "Performance monitors"
Hello, I'm using OPMANAGER Build 7025 and already have a hundred devices in monitoring. I recently had a DB Crash, with no more business views so i re-load my backup (3 days old) and all went ok. But now, when i try to add a new device, i just can't add performance monitors... I choose CPU, memory, disk usage (using WMI as usual and with correct credentials) and it returns me the "Exception occured in savePolledData api" message... For informations, Windows service monitors adding is working correctly

Moving Away from AdventNet?
I've purchased licenses for OpManager, ServiceDesk, OpUtils, and Firewall Analyzer. I've renewed these regularly and even used Site24x7. You can't beat AdventNet on price - nor usually on features. But I am extremely frustrated by one aspect of AdventNet which has to change - or will result in myself discontinuing utilization of the companies' products. Namely, when a critical problem with the software is discovered it needs to be rectified immediately - not wait two or three months for a hotfix.
SQL services not running with anti-virus turned on
I'm curious if anyone has had issues running their OpManager server with SQL and an anti-virus program. We recently installed nod32 anti-virus and soon after had problems with SQL services not starting up. This sounds like a nod32 problem but I thought I'd throw this out in case anyone had a similar issue. Thanks, Alex

WMI fails on Windows 2003
I'd just like to share this with you. I've been having problems with WMI failures on some servers but not others. After troubleshooting this with Jason in the OpManager team we found that the reverse DNS was incorrect. After correcting the PTR record WMI was fine. Example Forward DNS Server name: w2k3-server1 IP: 172.16.2.1 Reverse DNS 1.2.16.172.in-addr.arpa Name: w2k3-server2 * * The reverse DNS should resolve to w2k3-server1. To correct this delete the incorrect PTR record Run ipconfig /registerdns
devices disappear
I'm having a weird issue. When I add a new device, it doesn't always map to the correct device type. So, when I go and change the device type, the device simply disappears. I got so sick of it that I blew away my OpManager install over the weekend and started from scratch. Same thing. Anybody else seen this?
Creating Reports
How can i convert my reports to other format (e.g. excel) so i can have it presented in different graph type. When you do Custom Reports it only shows you the graphs, it does not show the details.. Please suggest some techniques or procedures how to get detailed reports on the monitored devices. Hope you can help us on this. Thanks..

HOTFIX 7025
I am trying to apply hotfix 7025 and it's stuck at 98% complete. I just called into support and was told the one person who does support has gone home!!! WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Support for OpManager really sucks. thanks for taking our money.
upgrade to 7 from 6 failed
I upgraded to version 7 and logged in, all the data was there, i then applied the latest hotfix (7025) and restarted. I now get this message Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server I have done this as asked but it doesnt matter. I still cannot log in

Hi, Using OpManager, is it possible to monitor linux boxes? I'm very impressed with the presentation and features of OpManager for our windows boxes, but in order to compete with our current solution (zabbix) it needs to be able to monitor linux boxes to (monitor services, memory usage, performance etc). UPS monitoring
I have a MGE Galaxy 3000 UPS. There is no device template in OpManager so I loaded the MIB and made on myself. How do I get the UPS load and status to show up in the pictures on the top half like they do with an APC UPS?

Windows XP Pro sp2 / OpManager 7 (d/l 16feb08 installed as free version) Hi, I would have posted here, but the thread seems to be abandoned. The "ManageEngine OpManager" and "ManageEngineOpManagerApache" services appear to start ok, see screenshot 1 and screenshot 2, but the "ManageEngine OpManager" service stops after screenshot 2. I have tried several possible solutions suggested in the forums without success. Any advice or suggestions please? Thanks, Mark.

CLI - CPU Utilization question
Please see the below picture, basically my dial for cpu utilization is showing -1%. What can I put in my host-resource.xml or opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml to correct the issue? Loss of views and Alarms graph
All business and infrastructure views are missing and cannot create new views. The alarms graph is also missing from the Home tab. This is version 7025 and repairdb runs without errors.
Problem adding network interfaces
Hi, I've installed Opmanager 7 BN 7025. My servers have 3 network interfaces (external,internal,backup). When i discover the interfaces , opmanager shows 3 interfaces, but when i add all the interfaces, only two are added successfully (external and backup). How can I solve this problem? thanks.

MSSQL 'Login Failed' error on install
I'm trying to install OpManager 7, but when I try to setup an MSSQL connection all I get is a 'Login Failed' error. I'm using the sa account and have even setup a test SQL install on a different server with the same results. Any ideas?

Monitors that show CHANGES in values?
Hello! Is there any way to create a monitor that shows the CHANGE in value from the last time a device was polled? For example - CRC errors on an interface. I don't care how many TOTAL errors there are, I want to know how many ADDITIONAL errors there are since the last time this interface was polled. If an interface has encountered more than, say, five errors on any one poll, I'd like to be alerted. Thanks! - Matt
Event Log Rules
After adding Event Log rules to all of our servers I would like to change some settings as we are being bombarded with notifications. Is there a way to reset or turn of the Monitor event log rules for more than one device at a time? I cannot seem to find a way to accomplish this task. Thanks, Joe

We have some trouble with monitoring virtual interfaces on Cisco 7206. We are using Cisco 7000 series device type. Physical interfaces monitored properly. For virtual interfaces utilization, errors and discards parameters are not available. Other monitoring system (MRTG) shows this values. Can you advise me something ?

OpMangr SQL Installation Problem
Hi Folks, I'm having a problem getting OpMgr installed on a server which currently runs an instance of MS SQL 2005 Express for a different application (I'd rather have one MSSQL instance instead of one MSSQL and another MySQL both on the same server). I'm getting the error "Unable to connect to SQLServer. Proceed the installation with MySql as database". I've verified that MSSQL is set up for TCP/IP connectivity and is listening on localhost:1433, I've also verified the logon credentials are correct
