Hi, I have 2 Switch Core Enterasys Matrix N7 1 is located in Rio and the other one is in Brasilia. When it's added the switch in Rio it is not recognized as a switch, instead is recognized as the default category Desktop. The switch have the credential OK and answer to the SNMP. Even after setup manually as a Switch I receive an error when I try to rediscovery the interfaces. The other one in Brasilia, is recognized as a Switch, there's no errors and recognize all the modules and ports. I compared

SNMPGET PROBLEM
Hi I have created a custom monitor to one of my ciscos in the OID i have set 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 and when I try to test it it is giving me a result like sysUpTime.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0:NULL altough if I do from the Linux Console i get a good result: snmpget -v2c -c <mycommunity> <myrouterip> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 = Gauge32: 1 why is it working diffrent on the same server from the Advanet and the CLI and how to fix it? Temperatur on the Snapshot View like a Dial or so
Hi There, in Order to Aircondition Failure sometimes we have the Problem that the Tempreature on the Deivces will be hot. Even when a fan is not working the Temperature is a growing issue. It would be very Pretty to have that shown on the Snapshot and on the Business Maps. What are ur opinions for that?

How can i add Lotus Domino Service Montors ?
We've installed OpManager 7 Premium Edition and added a Server for testing OpManager with. On that Server SNMP ist activated and also the WMI-Service is up and running. We miss the Lotus Domino Application / Service Monitors for this server. The SNMP Agent for Domino is running and if we do a request with a mib browser on a workstation to that server the request is correctly answered with information about the domino server. WMI for MSSQL not showing any values any more
Hi, I am using OPManager build 7102 premium I monitor my MS-SQL-Server and it worked fine. However with our last Patchday we installed a lot of hotfixes from Microsoft. Since then all my WMI-monitors show N/A. WMI is working. When I test my credentials, I get the message, that it works. SNMP also works. I also get events from my windows-eventlog. But No SQL-monitors any more. I tried WMIADAP /F on my SQL-Server. But I am not able to restart all MSSQL-services since the maschine is in use by all users.
Cisco catalyst 2960
Hi, We are OpManager system and I'm trying to get a Cisco Catalyst 2960 monitored. OpManager doesn't seem to have much support for this switch although it's a VERY popular series in the Cisco Router family.. Can anyone tell me how to get the Catalyst 2960 running with OpManager? IPSLA
If you name an IPSLA monitor and delete it, you cannot reuse the name later. eg If you name an IPSLA "test", you cannot reuse "test" again, you need to use "test1", "test2" etc which gets a bit frustrating if you have done this over a few weeks especially as you have to close and reopen the window and retype all the settings again Also, if you set up a "WAN Monitor" on a device that does not support it you still get a message that it has been done, it still shows up in OpManager but obviously never

2 problems with Trial version
We are currently evaluating OpManager in a network with amoing 300 servers. Problem 1) We are using Internet Explorer as browser and when requesting the servers view, IE use very long time downloading the page. In the lower left corner it says "xxx items remaining". It seems it must download an icon to display on the page for each server making the page load in 15 sec+++ Problem 2) is anyone else experiencing problems that the Apache server craches ? WMI and Firewall
Hi! I am using OpManager7 (latest release). I want to monitor some devices with WMI which are placed behind a firewall. Is there a way to monitor them without opening a huge range of ports on the firewall?? Does something like a "WMI agent" exist which works on the client and sends all WMI data through one port?? Hi, I added new motitor with SNMP OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.6889.2.8.1.6.8 When I tried to get a status for this monitor I recieved 2.jpg Before it I checked this SNMP OID for this device and I recieved normaly answer ( 1.jpg) Add data: 1. This SNMP OID from MIB G3-AVAYA-MIB and this MIB has size - 1.5 MB. 2. Type of this OID is Gauge from RFC1155-SMI What is a problem ? Slava.
Problem with WMI performance monitors!
I recently tried to change the default Windows 2000 and 2003 templates to add additional monitors for free disk space. I noticed the existing monitors were SNMP, so I swapped them out for the WMI monitors (CPU, Memory, and Disk Utilization), and added the free disk space monitor. Now none of the performance monitors work on any of my Windows 2000 and 2003 servers, and I can't get the free disk space monitor to show up at all. OpManager MSP Remote Control Issue
Hi, I'm running the trial version of MSP Build 6005 and cannot get the remote control to work. The ActiveX does not install due to windows not recognising the publisher (I've turned all Windows settings to run the ActiveX no matter what and it still fails). The Java version gives a black screen that does not change. The Flash version gives a black screen that I can make blue if I move the mouse to the bottom of the screen. Moving and or clicking the mouse has no effect and Ctrl-Alt-Del only works

Hi, I would like to create a custom monitor (via a script) which give me an average of the response time and the jitter. In OpManager, there is a response time for each device. I would like to get back these data in the script. So for this, I need know where the response time is saved in the database. How can I access to these stats. What table and columns in OpManagerDB hold Response Time data? What Instance, Name should I be looking for? I've been trying to find in POLLEDDATA and AVAILABILITY_STATISTICS
Cache Hit Ratio - MSSQL 2005
From the MSSQL Dashboard I am attempting to add two Cache Monitors to a MS SQL Server 2005. I check the box next to MSSQL cache count (SQL 2005 Server) and Cache Hit Ratio(SQL 2005 Server), click Add and the system says "Successfully added MSSQL services & monitors.". I then browse back to the MSSQL Dashboard and under the Cache Monitors section it states "No Monitors associated to the device." Any Ideas? I have refreshed and waited a good bit of time but it never displays�
dns server monitoring no longer works
Hey There, I have an outside DNS server set up as a router which we monitor using TCP port 53. All of a sudden a day or two ago the monitor started to report it was down. This is not the case as I can telnet to port 53 as well as use it as a DNS server. I ran repairDB.bat but it didnt help. Servers adding themselves to services
Hi.. I'm having a problem of servers adding themselves to services. Example. I go to the SMTP service monitors and have NO servers added to monitor SMTP, I will then add Server005 to SMTP services monitor then click save.. I go right back into the SMTP service monitor association and now instead of ONLY Server005 being there, there is NO Server005 but yet 4 Other servers that are NOT supposed to be there that I did NOT add... disconnection between client and server?
I start server in a computer,then i want to start client application in the other computer,and the two computers connect well. i enterinto user,password,serverip,in the client ,but i can't get connection from server.i also find the client can't ping server successfully.so i close client loading windows,then the client computer can ping server computer well .from above i guess the client application makes these two computers disconnected,i don't know why this happened,please help me.thanks.

I tried to discover other device and change the IP of the device to the right one but all the discoveries and the allive polls are done to the Old name. How do I delete a monitor?
This is much harder then it seems. Using the built in "Partition Details of the Device (%)" monitor that comes with OpManager. I know OpManager has problems with the + symbol in names. One of our mounts has a + in it. That mount is detected and monitored by OpManager. I need to delete it, but OpManager is un able to delete that monitor, no matter how many times I delete it. OpManager always returns "Graph deleted successfully" When I can see that it is still there and not delete, and I get the following

interface administratively down
Hey everybody .. I have many interfaces administratively down on my router and opmanager is sending me an alert saying the port is down...is that ok ? of course I have the option of unmanage every port administratively down but what if someday I set the port up and forget to reset the status of unmanage to that port? is there a way opmanager detect the port administratively down and assume that it has no to monitor and send an alert during the administratively down state ? I do not want to forget
