Clearing SNMP Traps

Clearing SNMP Traps

I currently have our Linux boxes sending SNMP traps to OpManager. The current trap that I have setup is:

TrapName: check_fs
SNMP Trap Version: v1
Generic Type: enterpriseSpecific(6)
Specific Type: 0
Enterprise OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.5000.14.0.1
Message: $0 Return Value $1 from trap check_fs.

Select Alarm Variable
Severity: Critical
Enable: Yes

Critical Jul 21,2008 04:17:46 PM Printer is large fire TEST Mon Jul 21 16:17:45 CDT 2008 Return Value 4 from trap check_fs.
Critical Jul 21,2008 04:17:24 PM Printer is large fire TEST Mon Jul 21 16:17:23 CDT 2008 Return Value 2 from trap check_fs.
Critical Jul 21,2008 04:17:13 PM Printer is on fire TEST Mon Jul 21 16:17:12 CDT 2008 Return Value 2 from trap check_fs.

What is the proper way to setup the SNMP TRAPs for these to be able to CLEAR properly? We are sending a Return Value 4, that should be the CLEAR for this trap.

I know once I have this one setup correctly, then I can apply that to the rest of the SNMP TRAPs we are using.

It would be nice if you could set the Severity based on RegEx of the incoming trap.
