sysName OID
Hi, I am using OpManager for evaluation of the product before commiting to make an order. So far so good but I would like to be able to display the sysName somewhere in the page of a device. sysDesc is good but it will be very convennient to have the sysName. The reason is the desktops are using DHCP. So just the IP address is not good enough to know which PC is which. Is that possible ? Thanks, Vu
Can't delete Alarm
When I click on an Alarm, I select Acknowledge, then I select Delete. It asks me if I'm sure, I say yes. It tells me there are no alarms. If I then go back to Home, the same alarm shows up, and I can still open it. This happens even when I have deleted the monitor that the alarm originated from.

Dear Op Manger Support Team: I am currently using the one month free trail Package of OPmanager. I Like the product and I would like to use it after the one month trail to monitor 10 devices . My question, Should I re-install the software again and choose 10 devices option or no need for this step. Also I need to subscribe with the SMS Toolkit . Is this ok with the free 10 devices Package. Feature(s) Request -- MS Biztalk WMI monitors
We have a couple of MS Biztalk servers. I would like to query the Biztalk servers with opmanager for suspended message items. WMI would be used, its my understanding that a whole suite of WMI queries, and performance monitors are avaible to be used with MSBiztalk, but I'm not sure how to begin, to write these into opmanager. Is there a new help document on creating custom WMI monitors for Opmanager 7? I am looking in the help documents, but not locating this. Thank you. Biztalk Items of Interest:

Browser constantly starting and Additions Ops Manager icons
I am currently running Ops Manager 7 (7020), which has been upgraded from version 6.0. Some time ago when I was at version 6, the browser (IE) would open in the console and go to the Ops Manager login screen. Now that I am running IE 7, it just opens another tab. Also for some reason I get extra Ops Manager service icons starting in the tray bar. So if I don't close these out for a while I end up will heaps of tabs and icon, all-in-all rather messy. How can I stop this? Many thanks

Alarm filtering sugestions as a roadmap
Hi all, I would like to sugest as a roadmap to the next releases some improves in the "Alarms" filtering/search. Unnecessary alarm on OpManager
Hello guys, Everytime i login to one of my routers i receive tcpconnstate alarm. The following: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.9.3.1.1.322.1: 5, tcpConnState: 7, .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.6.1.1.5.10.10.14.9.23.10.10.14.8.52268: 4284, .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.6.1.1.1.10.10.14.9.23.10.10.14.8.52268: 174, .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.6.1.1 I tried to create trap processor for it but so far i'm not successful. So how can i tell OpManager to receive the trap/notification, but do not generate any alarms? How can i do that? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello I am new to Opmanager I have installed it and discovered our network. I have managed to group my servers. I have followed the SNMP guide and configured SNMP on my servers. When i go to the server in opmanager and click on the server the next screen it goes to says the following: Status message Unable to find the object: (My server name) How do i get this working?
Problems with CPU utilization in all linux servers
Hi, OpManager shows N/A utilization for the resource monitors like CPU utlization in all the linux Servers. Monitors are added and the graphics not showed . I have added more monitors and these show information The test not showed the commands to use. I know the IP Number of the device, I also know the exact OID Number (1.3.6.1.4.1.16714.1.1.1.3.1.2.0), what I want to do is return the decimal value from here. Can anyone help. Adding custom monitors for new device template
I've got a couple of devices that I've added templates for and I need to add some custom monitors for them as well. As far as I can tell, the only way you can add a custom monitor is to select the OID from the MIB tables that come default with the OpManager MIB Browser. My problem, however, is that the OID's I need to add are not in any of the pre-loaded tables. Is there a way to add my own monitors with OID's other than the pre-loaded ones? Thanks Joe

Hello All, We have an Enterasys Matrix N7 switch core in our LAN but when I added the switch in the Opmanager the device was not recognized as a switch neither the vendor Enterasys... the SNMP community is configured OK. hi right now i'm using the trail version of this software. i've installed it in a computer in a domain. i installed the snmp services on the other computers in this domain. but the problem is that the software can't see any snmp service running on any machine on the domain except my computer. are there any solution to this.

Feature Suggest - Remove "1st time user login" hel
Once user credentials have been added to opmanager, I would prefer that the "For First time users" help field be removed from the default opmanager login page. For instance in our environment, I think I have at least a dozen users created in opmanager, with varying levels of access. It adds to their confusion when logging in for the first time, to see the "first time user" help bar reading that they can login with admin, with a password of admin. Availability Distribution Graph Not Showing
hi, I am using build 7024. On the overview page when I select any date range less than 7 days ( yesterday, today, 12 hours or 24 hours) the availability graph only displays as 'X'.
