SwitchPort Mapper No Longer Works for HP E4800G Switch
Since upgrading to the latest revision (8722) no longer able to map the ports on HP E4800G Switchs. The only information recorded is port status, port speed and vlan. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OpManager NOT Re-Connecting To SQL DB
Hi team, OpManager Build No: 9011 Whenever my SQL DB restarts due to Windows Updates, My OpManager instance does not poll to re-connect to the DB. Is there any way we could change this? Thanks.
OPManager Utilization Issue - AIX Servers
Hi, I need a helping hand here. Anybody knows why our AIX Servers' utilization always disappears? By the way, we use CLI to monitor the AIX Servers. It is ok in the first time we do "test connection" but apparently, tomorrow it is disappeared. Is there a configuration need to adjust in our OPManager? Our OPMan version is 9. Hello Is it possible to monitor the "asp.net" service ? I want to monitor the input and the output packet's of the asp.net from IIS group and alerts me in critical situtation. as well as get reports about counts of them. local wmi
Hi! I'm trying to add a manual WMI counter on the OpManager server (it has other services). I get an invalid username/password. I searched this forum and found that I needed to remove the username/password for local wmi. I go the password page, remove the username and password, hit OK and then when I open it still has the username/password :) Any other way to remove it so it doesnt use credential for the local server? Will I still be able to monitor WMI counters? Thanks Nicolas

I have several Cisco stacked switches. I am trying to create my maps with all the links but cannot create more than one link on a device. I want to monitor my primary and my failover which comes from one switch and goes to two different switches in a stacked configuration but has one IP address. I can see them in my ports but can only create on linked connection in my view.

Windows 2008 WMI Access Denied
When trying to setup OpManager to monitor a Windows Server 2008 in our DMZ, it keeps coming back with an access denied. I can used WBEMTEST to connect to the target server - confirming that the target server is configured properly and that no firewalls are blocking anything. I can also run the cpu.vbs script in \conf\application\scripts and get a valid connection. I can run the list_services.vbs script and get the list of services. But, I can't get OpManager to connect using WMI. Any ideas
SMS phone not working after move to version 8002
Hi, I had previously version 7205. The installation is on W2k3 (virtual machine on VMware Infrastructure) using a DB on MSSQL 2005. I use custom HTML pages with embedded iframes to display various OpManager dashboards on multiple NOC monitors, as well as non-OpManager related information. I need to know how I can embed the "Exchange Server" and "Active Directory" dashboards that are included in the snapshot view of AD and Exchange servers. Lately, I have only started receiving status 'Clear' emails but are not being notified when an IP interface goes down. LINK is a shot of the Notification Profile configured. (I do not which to be alerted on anything except when a particular Interface goes down and comes back up). Changing interface bandwidth to a lower value than real bandwidth will cause tx or rx showing zero
Our customer has a 20M MPLS lease line, he complains that when he change interface bandwidth to 5M , the traffic graph stop graphing. I created a test environment to simulate his problem , and I found when the IN traffic was over the interface bandwidth we set, it shows IN traffic is zero. see the attachments graph1.jpg. In graph1.jpg ... tx/rx interface bandwidth are both set to 100bps.( for testing) I generated traffic using snmpbulkwalk to generate an unbalanced traffic pattern.
Stops Monitoring some devices
Hi, I am still in 8812 version and would like to understand if the below problems was notified before and if there is any enhancement in 9200. From time to time some devices (all kind of devices: Routers, Switches, Servers, UPS, etc.) are not monitored anymore. Not getting Event Logs
I thought I had followed your instructions for getting Event Logs from my W2k8 servers, but there are none. I used the Quick Configuration Wizard to associate my servers with the event log rules. I've forced errors into a few servers, waited for the post to cycle & there are still no event logs in OpManager. Is there some special smoke & mirror technique for getting these from W2k8 servers? Do I need to do anything to the event Log Rules, or can I use them as they are? What type of Windows account
Unable to fetch Requests from ServiceDeskPlus through OpManager

OPManager: Restore of config files
Hi, We are running OPmanager 9, build 9200. On a test probe, i have played a bit around backup/restore to a new probe. For the database this works fine. Using mysql. The question is regarding the configuration of the probe. Under the bin/backup folder i find a BackupConfFiles.bat file, but no RestoreConfFiles.bat. How am i suppose to restore the zip file generated by the BackupConfFiles.bat? Regards, Svein

There are 12 RIAD Hard Drives which I want them to be monitored by the OpManager and any time that One of them got problem or for example burnt it alerts me about that hard drive, I dont want to be alert just the time that the system is up or down. Currently we have a check for a Cisco ASA 5500 Series for Firewall CPU Utilization. Currently the SNMP OID is : .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1 by default The check it is coming back with is; "Firewall CPU Utilization is 4294962%, threshold value for this monitor is 60%" We have identified that the correct OID for this is actually 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.8 What is the best way to change the OID for the check on this device?

Anyone know how to get this counter and other like it to report up to 3 decimals? Avg. Disk sec/Read.7 D: WMI Avg. Disk sec/Read is the average time, in seconds, of a read of data from the disk. I am getting an integer (0) for everything, testing successful. Perfmon reveals it averages 0.003 Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I would like to receive SNMP traps from an external application. I have copied the MIB files to the /mibs folder. In Opmanager, under Admin > SNMP Trap Processor > Action > Load From Mibs. I have loaded the MIBs. What do i need to do next? Do I need to associate the MIBs to the server? Thanks.

OpManager broadcasts causing FW alerts
I have OpManager with the NFA plugin (Build 7400 {SP-7.0+SP-1.0+SP-2.0+SP-4.0}. Web Alarm doesn't work for CCTV view
We have OpManager CCTV view running on a big widescreen TV in the middle of our office, would be great if we can have the web alarm sound from the tv. I've noticed the Web Alarm displays in the top menu, however in CCTV view the top menu is not displayed so there is no Web Alarm. Is there a work around?
