I monitor one Compaq Server that runs LOTUS Notes and memory utilization% shows 100% at all times. Any suggestions or known issues?
error adding graph for linux server via ssh
When I try to add a graph (i.e. cpu utilization) for a linux server via ssh, I get the following error: SshTools / log4j jar not present in classpath. Please download the sshtools-j2ssh-0.0.4-alpha-bin.tar.gz/zip from url "http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/sshtools" and set classpath to jaxb, log4j and sshtools jars. The above error doesn't give enough clear details on what needs to be done. I've tried to download the referenced file and extract the 3 jars. The problem comes trying to set the classpath

Hi, I've been using OpManager 5.0 (release 5006) successfully for some time and upgraded now to version 5.5 (release 5503). OPManager Email Notification Setting
I need to enter my authentication setting as domain\username and I can send a test message just fine. When I save the settings and then go back into the mail server settings the \ is now gone and the email notifications fail. Is there a reason why the \ will stay?

Monitoring memory in megabytes and problem with band usage
I would like to know if is there some way to monitor (or take reports) of the computer's memory use in megabytes and not in %. I also have a problem with my bandwidth usage not showing % of interface utilization. I have the correct kbps (or mpbs) interface traffic, but on all of my devices the interface utilization = 0. What could it be ?
Seeking clarification for something:
Can you not have snmp and wmi based resource monitors for the same server? For example, I prefer to use wmi for memory and cpu usage since the cpu monitor is better for multiprocessors and the wmi memory usage monitor reflects more accurate memory usage than does snmp. But I like to use snmp for custome graphs such as mbps or some such. But it seems if I configure a box this way, one will work while the other doesnt. One server I had monitored for some time and the snmp graphs were working fine.

Not getting mails if threshold rule is violated
Hello all, I have not been getting messages whenever there is a violation rule in the threshold value set, however it is getting generated in the client. I get regualr mails concerned with the event viewer but not with threshold violation. Can this be rectified, thanks Mahesh.
Howto discover network devices
Hi all, i would like to auto-discover our network. We have an IP-Adressrange starting with 148.192.xxx.xxx, but the unusual Subnet of 255.255.255.0. How must I configure the discovery range ? I've tried 148.192.0.0 with subnet 255.255.0.0, also 148.192.xxx.0 with subnet 255.255.255.0, but OpManager isn't discovering all of our devices. Any ideas ? thanks in advance.
Error in downloading client files from BE
We have a problem with OpManager., the database may be corrupted after an electric breakdown. disk storage via snmp
Hi, Two questions, 1) I use net-snmp via freebsd (5.2 version (recent)) I receive cpu/memory but no disk storage (four partitions) is it possible something breaks with multiple partitions via net-snmp (It thinks it is a Linux Host) 2) Is it possible to get graphs via each individual partition? Opmanager 5.5 - not naming routers corectly + Bandwidth iss
Testing 5.5 before I upgrade our licensed 5 version of Opmanager. Have run a discovery and it has found my Cisco routers, however, the name of the routers tends to be the broadcast address of one of the links and the links are not reporting the correct bandwidth even though I have bandwidth settings on the routers. 5.0 discovered them ok! Doesn't Opmanager get the hostname from SNMP and use this? Some of the routers come up as unknown too (all cisco 2600 series) whereas some are correctly marked
How to configure the event log monitoring
Hello, the enhancements witch commes with SP 3 are great. Anyway I cant get the event log monitoring running, these are the steps I have done: 1. I enabeld the Window service monitor for the server �nd added the event log service --> it shows green 2. I created a new event log rule and installed it with the quick configuration wizard on the server 3. I created a log entry, but nothing happened? What did I wrong?
Service Pack 5010 available for downloading.. problems
I just downloaded the service pack 5010 from your website, but I'm finding some problems so far. I've installed and uninstalled a couple times. The first install, the cmd window seemed to be stuck at refreshing a full screen of OKOKOKOK. Uninstalling - Reinstalling Service Pack: I uninstalled OpManager and ran a new install of just OpManager5. Then I went to install the service pack, but the installation informed me that the service pack was already installed. I deleted the folder inside the bin\backup

High CPU-load all the time
Hi all, after the sucessfull installation of OPManager on a Windows XP-Host (768 MB RAM, 1,8 GHz) i've recognized that the CPU-load is permanently above 80 percent. I'm monitoring about 150 servers (Windows 2000, Solaris, HP-UX), 200 Switches/Routers and a few printers. I've reduced the monitoring interval to 10 Minutes for each item (except printers, set to 60 Minutes.) The javaw.exe process is consuming about 40-50 percent, also the MySQL-service. Change Catagory
We just completed the upgrade to service Pack 3. I was looking forward to being able to change the category of items into the printer and firewall selections. Where did they move that option too? It used to be on the right hand side of the screen towards the bottom when you had a device open. Now I can not locate it.
5.5 Java Client - URL snapshot not available from URL Map
Something came up today and I wanted to share tracked response times of a URL I started monitoring yesterday with OpManager 5.5. As these custom graphs and response time lists are printed more easily from the java client, I launched the client, and found the URL map has no right clicking options at all, neither is there a capability to see any detailed view of any of the URL monitors I have listed, from the java client. Is this as intended? ...As far as everything else I'm seeing with this new version,

I have noticed that the date of all data collected is in GMT. Here in Brazil we are using GMT-2 at the moment. Is there a way to change the default to GMT-2 ? Thanks, Elton Pimentel.
error during start of OP-Service
Hi all, i have done a new install of OPManager on a Windows XP professional host. after sucessfull installation, the setup tries to start the service. after a couple of minutes it ends with an error, that the service could not be started. I've tried to start the service manually, but after a few seconds, the service terminated unexpectedly. What's wrong ? thanks Uwe

I'm very impress by all the software you create. Congratulation ! But Would it be possible in the future that you think about a way to run multiple of your softwares on the same machine ! There is so many ports opened that it is almost impossible to run simultenaously even a few of them...and not only software created by other companies on your Web nms systems (ie. ACS Airespace...) I am evaluating the software on my network and it is all working almost fine. The problem I am having at the moment is to manage my servers on my DMZ. My firewall logs a drop package with the following description : "SNMP version earlier than version 3". Hi, I am currenty evaluating the software and once satisfied planning to buy the unlimited edition. I have following queries 1) Does the Freeware has the facility to the monitor the space usage drivewise in addition to the disk usage( e.g. c: d: e:). Hello, We are evaluating OpManager to use it to monitor servers that are behind a firewall across a WAN. The monitoring server in on thepublic Internet. Questions: 1. What ports do we need to open at the remote firewall to monitor the server behind it? Does OpManager support a way of responding to certain problems? For example if a windows service is acting up, could you have OpManager automatically (depending on criteria) restart that service ? If not this would be a great feature. Service start/stop: apache and mysql ???
Is it just me or: when I use net start or net stop on the manageengice opmanager service, it doest stop apache (2 processes) and mysql (1 process) ? Don't you feel like it should terminate those process since they go with your service :)
