OpManager 5.5: Fixed 5.0 issues back again

OpManager 5.5: Fixed 5.0 issues back again

Hi,

I've been using OpManager 5.0 (release 5006) successfully for some time and upgraded now to version 5.5 (release 5503).
Since the upgrade, some fixed 5.0 issues are back in again and some 5.0 feature have gone:

1) Issue: Authentication failure
OpManager 5.5 seem to have default community strings (public) hardcoded somewhere, excactly as in 5.0 (see post http://forums.manageengine.com/forumHome.do?forumGroupId=49000000002007&forumTopicId=49000002634085). However, the patch provided in this post cannot be used in 5.5 (patch installation says "The file you have specified is not compatible with the version of the product").

2) Issue: Admin password hint on Logon Page
In the previous version, I removed the Admin password hint on the Logon Page as described in post http://forums.manageengine.com/forumHome.do?forumGroupId=49000000002007&forumTopicId=49000002634115 with the provided patch. In version 5.5, the hint is back again and when applying the patch, most new features "disappear" (e.g. limited features in the admin tab, impossible to create new monitors, ...).

3) Missing feature: Polling interval for Service Monitors
In verson 5.0, it was possible to specify a different polling interval for each service. With the new "Service Monitors", this is not possible anymore (but still possible for e.g. Resource Monitors). However, some services might be more important than others running on the same machine and therefore need closer monitoring.

4) Solaris support
It seems that 5.5 isn't supported on Solaris anymore. One of the reasons we've chosen OpManager is the Solaris support. Could you please officially confirm that Solaris is/is not supported ?

Could you please provide new patches for the issues/feature limitations above ? Thanks.
