Users questions - Viewable Info and Importing Users
1) I was wondering if there was a way now or in a future release for someone to simply view certain information, maybe in a Business View, from OpManager without having to use up license on him or her. They wouldn't need to change anything, just view what's happening on the network. 2) Are there plans for OpManager to be able to import users from Active Directory, like in ServiceDesk, instead of having to manually enter them? OpManager 6.0 keeps crashing (WinXP)
Just installed OpManager 6.0 today for evaluation. Everything has worked out pretty well - except that the server has started to crash quite a bit. I have attached the dump files from the JVM. Please let me know if you need anymore details.
Probe/Central Server
Hello, my probe and central server see each other, but when it is not seeing the network when I create a network view from the probe page -> testing probe -> discover network Whenever I add a network, it doesn't add it in. I can add a device manually which works just fine. Any ideas?
Cannot execute Binary file
Hi I m trying to install opmanager 5.6 on linux debian on sun server ( sparc ).After giving permission to binary file , it is giving error " Cannot Execute binary file ". Does support help , keep in mind that hardware is sun server. I have given permission to binary file ( chmod 755 )

First of all I'd like to say, that your idea is really great! By "idea" I mean OpManager + NetFlow Analyzer + WiFi Manager + ServiceDesk Plus as cross-integrated network monitoring cluster. Each package (by package I mean, for example OpManager, or NetFlow Analyzer and so on) has it's own web server and database server inside. OpManager finds a lot of devices automatically and does look very nifty... 1) Something I've been struggling with though. On a network x.y.z.0/24 I have 2 identical 4506 switches. One is discovered and snmp managed (blue star) without any problem, where the other isn't. Adding the second device manually gets it thrown in under the "Desktop"

CPU utilization missing from Domain Controllers
When you change the device from Server to Domain Controller: - You lose CPU utilization graph. An SNMP CPU utilization monitor is automatically created under the Monitor | Resource Monitors, but this does not populate the dashboard dial with any data - The username / password is blanked out of the device (which has resulted in windows Event | security - lockout events for Guest (an account which is locally disabled anyway). - ADDITIONAL FIELDS is not available on Domain Controllers. .... Router and Switch Discovering

Hi, I want to monitor the maximum call duration with SNMP (MIB) on several Cisco 3640 routers with BRI (ISDN) interfaces. i've checked all existing Monitors but none offer what i need. Changing default monitors added during discovery
Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to change what monitors are added by default when new devices are added. For instance, we wish to add for every server in our environment the free and used disk space in GB's monitors. Currently we have to add them after they are discovered. Is there a way to make them a default monitor?

Now after v6 and AD module several things are broken
upgraded to v6, now the regular java client doesn't seem to want to load. I got it to load one time and instead of my two networks showing up I have a single page that says "mapmaker" at the top. Also, was missing the CPU speedometer. Deleted the resources monitors and found that the memory and HDD space speedometers were still there even after a rediscover. I changed my servers from being "domain controllers" back to servers and got my broken speedometers back. Curious to know what happened there.
Wish List -- report / Inventory INCLUDING custom fields
hey I really want to print out a server inventory which includes the custom fields I've entered for each server. This way I can see each server with - Rack Location, Contact Name, Server Role etc., Maybe some sort of Report Designer Tool, so we could create custom reports and specify which fields we want to include in that report. Domain Controller -- no CPU / difficult to delete-recreate
Every time I discover a new server, the device is created with SNMP monitors for CPU, MEMORY, and DISK What I am seeing with the new Domain Controller devices in opmanager, is Memory and CPU has been replaced with WMI monitors, but there is no CPU utilization populated. On the Domain Controller snapshot, I opened "Monitors" , and under resource monitors CPU is listed with an SNMP monitor. - I've deleted the SNMP monitor and added a WMI CPU monitor there, and rediscovered the device. Still no CPU

i installed opmanager trial version to one of my win2003 srv machines, i can see the graphs cpu\ram\hd for win xp machines but can't see the graphs for win98 machines? I installed snmp on win98 also. Opmanager sees win98 machines as winnt on re-discovery. I want to also be able to trap settings\passwords on win98 but couldn manage it...can you please help! Also active processeses and installed program shows N/A in win98 machines

When running the scheduled reports in OpManager 6, the url link that it emails references the internal name of the server rather than the external FQDN: example http://internalname/path/to/the/report Where do I change that?
Service fail to start
I'm having problems getting the OpManager service to start on a winxp. I'm running version 5.6 and also have another service running that uses mysql. Is there any way of getting OpManager to use the existing mysql server? I've changed the web port to 8080 since my existing service uses port 80. The MySql server that I'm using is 4.0.15 and I've not set the root password on the mysql server so there shouldn't be any problems creating a db. Regards Fredrik
top 10 process statistics errors on winxp machines
-i have 3 windows 2003srv (i installed one of opmanager 6.0)... -currently connected 2 winxp machines to network -i can see the top 10 process statistics (both cpu\ram) for win2003srvs and can end process of an overdosed application but on windows xp machines when i want to see the top 10 process statistics (both cpu\ram) i get an "Process Details are not available." error. -so that i can't end process of a winxp machine nor see the toprated application usage for cpu\ram (i have entered the correct

I have OpManager, Application Manager, Eventlog and OpUtils. My problem is that if I try and have more than one web interface running it keeps logging me out of the other ones and sometimes the one I am in as well. I need to have all 4 web interfaces up on my PC so I can get them all configured.
